After the emotions have settled, do people really want Klopp out? He has to face the facts the new tactics are not working, I agree. But this man rebuilt this club, if he pererevers and doesn’t change things for the remainder of the season, starts next season the same and remains stubborn then fine, maybe it’s time to move on. BUT to say he needs to go now is an embarrassment.

Man City have gained ONE more point than us in last 10 games. There second… people
need to settle down. Klopp has done more for LFC than anyone in the last 2 decades. He deserves time and the fans need reminded what YNWA means in these hard times.

Klopp won't be going anywhere unless it's his own decision.

No.
I don't know how we have declined so much and so quickly. There are a lot of theories why but Klopp knows about it and he's the man to put it right.

Lijnders needs to go.

I for one don’t want Klopp out. For me he’s perfect for the job. I do want to see him change tactics though and if he doesn’t that could be his down fall.

Wish I could like the op. A little bit more of a logical perspective like this from a lot more people wouldn’t go amiss. Great post.

Absolutely no way should anyone be calling for Klopp to go. People who are have very short memories. I really do hope we get a midfielder in this month and hopefully yesterday’s performance gets us that.

If money is too tight and we only have nominal funds then we should be pursuing Rabiot on a reduced fee for this month, as others don’t seem obtainable. Juve are in a dire state this season and they do seem willing to sell. He is apparently also a Liverpool fan.

Certainly not. He at least deserves the whole of next season to see how we go and before we sharpen the knives.
My opinion is that the midfield especially has “ got away with it” over the last few seasons and it has been exposed this season, but more because our forward line has changed massively and still a bit of work in progress and our defence isn’t working as well as it normally does. These issues have put more pressure on our dodgy midfield and have basically been exposed. I’ve never thought our midfield was “ quality” anyway, just industrious but when you had Mane and Salah in top form and a tight defence we didn’t need much more. Now tho, with all the other slight issues it looks horrible. New bodies required indeed.

To be fair to the management team, it was the slowing down of the original ‘gegenpress’ that reaped so much reward post Summer 2019 though?
To me, I think that the difference is the ability of the players to react to changes in tempo from the opponents.
We look one-paced now, whereas in the (recent) past we could move up and down the gears as the match demanded.
Part of this is injuries, perhaps some may be jaded mentally, a loss of confidence definitely and plain old wear and tear.
Of course, I agree that the tactics do look very passive this season.
The best approach was always that happy half-way house, press when required but play sensibly and with maturity.
It’s the first part of that equation which is lacking, whether by design, fault or an inability.

I don’t think anyone wants Klopp out. They want him to fix what is happening. Bar the City game, we’ve been out-everythinged by the opposition. That suggests the players can’t or won’t. Not a cool place to be in for any manager or coach.

I felt Dubai camp was an ideal time to bring in a new voice/ personality into the coaching team. But I appreciate that’s even more difficult than buying a player when Klopp is so close to his guy Pepijn.

I think the issues are at least partly tactical and not just down to not having a new midfielder.

But we're talking half a season so far in 7 years. Of course I don't want Klopp sacked over it. Anyone who does needs to stop eating strange mushrooms they find growing in the wild.

That's a good point, Juicer.
We benefitted from toning down the gegenpress. The season we won the League we were more reserved with our press and I think that helped us maintain our levels for longer.
We were a bit boring at times but we got results. The defence was tight and our front three could always get us goals.

Can i point out pep and man city having a mini melt down do you think they will be screaming for his head if it carries on a few more games lost . I don't and i don't think JURGEN KLOPP SHOULD GO this club this city the fans these owners need Jurgen Klopp to be here running this team for a long time to come . One last thing Jurgen put your glasses back on bring back your and our luck.

I don’t want Klopp to leave at all. He’s the best thing to happen to the club for as long as I can remember. But don’t tell fans to settle down, particularly comparing us to Man City. They’re not in their richest vein of form but they’re vastly better than us. We need to focus on ourselves as we’re an embarrassment at the moment.

Albeydered, different context. IMO, Pep’s team are severely underperforming right now, mind you based in their recent standards BUT I agree with you that they would never go after him cos we’ll, where are they going to go? He’s literally bigger than the club and can make a litany of mistakes and still get the backing and financial muscle to go again. Pep has a job there regardless. He simply cannot fail even if he tried his hardest to do so.
