It’s just ridiculous what you are saying. Who do you think Luis Diaz is? I 100% guarantee if the players swapped clubs you would be saying the exact same thing about Diaz.

Would be a brilliant squad player coming off the bench or rotating but he remains an enigma. Sometimes I watch him play and think this guy is almost unplayable. Other times he is quiet and doesn’t get into the game. But today he terrorised City and I mean terrorised ? Imagine him playing under Klopp, our coaches and in our team surrounded by better players. Only question is can he sustain that level not just in the odd game here or there but over the course of a season/ seasons.

The guy literally wears bandages on both knees, both elbows, and his head whenever he plays. Given that 'injury prone midfielder' is one of the most commonly used phrases on this page, it's probably a bit of risky signing.

Mark though would you say we need a left winger too keep salah on his toes in the same way tsimikas made robbo up his game last season, because I feel there is a few in the squad that need serious competition too keep them properly honest on the pitch e. g trent fabihno, salah.

Hail, I trust Salah 100%. I think he gets min 25 pl goals this year. Imo only the constant extra time in the AFCON killed his season. Salah pushes Salah. Trent I agree, we haven’t seen Ramsey yet though. Fabs is a problem but will come good and when we won the pl Hendo played 6 and wion PFA player of the year.

It’s assist’s and goals from midfield we are missing but Klopp must have faith in the youngsters to provide this. Klopp doesn’t sign a new contract unless he thinks we can win more major trophies.

Mane from the left over the past 2 seasons was nowhere near the player he was him moving upfront and scoring more made his season look better than it was heading. Diaz came mid season and was far more effective down the left than Mane was last season we just have to hope that Nunez turns out to be the central striker we need. Would love to no how many goals and assists Mane got before the AFCON and the compare him and Diaz.

@Grino, with Mane on the left we won the PL, CL, WCC and Euro Super Cup. With Mane up front we won the League Cup and the FA Cup. My point being is that an individual can shine in one position but may be of much more use to the overall team playing in another. Just saying.

West Derby Wanderer that is an incredibly oversimplified statement. There were a gazillion other factors because of which we won the CL and PL. And last year we were just off by one point in the league and reached the finals of the UCL as well. You can attribute our success/ failure on just one player's position.

Mane was past it and only scored because of Bobby. That was the narrative I believe. I still chuckle to myself now every time I mention it.

Saint Maximum on his day is a very exciting player and the Newcastle fans absolutely love him. I don’t think our hand to mouth transfer strategy would last long at the negotiation table with the richest club owners in the world.

West Derby i think we are sound on the left with jota diaz an even nunez can play there but jota injured and who knows how he will react when coming back, but on the right salah is our main specialist but know one else to push him and keep him on his toes so I think it would be handy to have cover there.

Hailstones, no harm to you but you have match day fever, maximin is a very poor player he just runs in a direction with no idea where he's going or what he's going to do when he get there, his passing is poor his crossing is poor his finish is poor.
Did you watch the match or just see highlights? He also has fitness issues and we have enough of them already.
