Sure. Nothing but part of the negotiation tango. LFC is basically saying "hey this is it, 37 Million, that's our offer. Otherwise, Fabinho starts training next week and you can risk not getting any offers after ours, or only 40 Million from ManC next summer (under the buyback cause) .

I suspect WYred is very much right. LFC wants to buy him. Southampton want to sell. Lavia wants to join LFC. No major hurdle, yet.

Why would this be part of the transfer dealings with southampton?

Like if the deal doesn’t happen we would have messed around two clubs and messed with the heads of two players, one of which was our own.
