Well looks like Caicedo is getting closer to a Chelsea move. Another target slip by he been linked to us got passed 12 months without us making any contact. Watch Chelsea put the money up and get him.

If we really want him I’m sure the club will look to do all it can for him . We all know we are going 2 footed on Jude Bellingham so maybe we could get both but I have a feeling nunes of wolves and Jude are our targets as I feel the waiting in the window shows the players we want aren’t available maybe caicedo isn’t for sale from Brighton’s point of view aswell.

Caicedo's a good player who would improve our team and seemingly suit us if we are to return to the high press. It's a shame if he ends up at Chelsea. Seems we are keeping our powder dry for Bellingham and Nunes in the summer. It's probably a wise decision if Bellingham definitely won't be swayed by a lack of Champions league football. It does also mean Bajcetic will get more chances and i'm really excited by his potential.

To be honest, from what i seen, he's nothing special. Maybe a upgrade on what we have but I think we should aim better. Some people think he was great against us when we played them, but anyone would of looked better that night given our poor performances. I think we should get bellingham in the summer, and if things allow, go for that italian dude if at all possible. Was it barrella? I can't remember. The italian from their national team who was kick arse.

Wasn’t there a huge clamour for Bissouma in the summer too? How good has he looked at Spuds? Maybe if we haven’t bid for Caicedo it’s because we don’t see value there. Just like we didn’t with Bissouma and so far have been proved 100% right.
Let’s let the club deal with transfers (as they are far more qualified to do that than a bunch of armchair managers on an internet forum) and we should support whichever players turn out in a red shirt every week (as we are far more qualified to do that than a bunch of number crunching millionaires) .

You can’t really be called ‘missing out’ on something if you don’t want it.

The thing is, we don’t know what actually goes on behind the scenes so it’s all just media speculation and ‘you pays your money and you takes your choice’

To be honest I’m personally losing interest in the window - the whole social media circus, (as Rigsby put it really well yesterday) the thought processes that people use before proving their opinions and the lightening back flips that occur on here:

Day 1, say Enzo Fernandez, press and social media go big on the ‘Liverpool in for’ thing.

Day 2, our own home grown expert technical analysts provided an in depth technical appraisal of the player - usually couched in disparaging terms about the player’s shortcomings, whether we want it or not.

Day 3 and 4, pantomime season - ‘oh no he isn’t, oh yes he is’.

Day 5, press and social media say another club (usually Chelsea) is interested and we start the ‘he never was much good’ cover story.

Day 6, we play a match and our midfield gets slagged off, win, lose or draw with the honourable exception of 2 17 year olds - Bajcetic and Doak who, seemingly can do nothing wrong.

Day 7, we do some serious navel gazing over our lack of planning for the past decade, to finish off the week, with an always interesting update on our (imagined) financial situation, and then

Day 1 again, say Caicedo, and off we go down the slide again.

Only really linked with the media, we ran with it because he is a player who would improve our midfield. Give me a pen and paper and I could probably come up with a list of about 100 players who would improve our midfield.

If signing a player this window interferes with Bajcetic getting minutes then no thanks. Want to see as much of that kid as is possible. How else does he get the experience if he doesn't play?
