Lots of speculation in media about MacAllister and Ugarte joining, supposing we did get these deals over the line do you see another midfielder coming in and if so who would be your pick? Both players would likely cost circa 130 million so I’m assuming they would have to be reasonably priced!

I hope not. Them two would be great but more would block Bajcetic, Jones and Morton getting chances. We still have Thiago, Hendo and Fab, depth is good but too much just kills off the youth! Would love them two though would transform us.

It depends on Trent. If he’s staying at right back then only 2 midfielders is a massive mistake and we’re making the same cockups as last year.

If Trent goes into midfield full time then, we only need 2 to come in which is what I would prefer and we have Baj and Elliot who have shown to be good option Baj, especially so we need to give them playing time to develop and grow. Also, we’re going to be in the EL by the looks of it so plenty of games to go round.

Cool, a thread about midfielders, defenders and TAA being a defender or a midfielder - ground breaking stuff.

At least this on’s funny though - Mac Alister, Ugarte, Gravenberch, and a left sided CB ( a clue - the first letter of his surname is G) rates an 8 out of 10. Perhaps we need to stay away from Premier League Manager for a bit.

Down-ney - maybe it's just me, but I have watched MacAllister a few times over recent weeks, and to be honest, I am not convinced by him at all. Maybe that doesn't mean too much though as I'm no expert.

Just my opinion.

KBL sorry mate but I think u maybe wrong on this one. From what I've seen of him he seems to have an engine like Dirk and he's got a lot of excellent technique. Put him in the role that Gini used to play for us and I think he would thrive and in turn help out Robbo and Virgil. But I'm just a championship manager coach and don't really have a clue how the real game works.

Beside that, I mean it IS a football site. With the best will in the world there is going to be a lot of repetitive stuff. There is only so much to go around before you start covering old ground ?.

Personally I’d play Konate up front, he used to play there you know? Something different ?.
