Why not give trent a run in dm has to be worth a go.

Considering a lot of fans don’t like how he defends, they’d hate him in dm, mobile and passing ability he’s but he’d have to do more defending there than he would arguably at right back when we’re at our bests and probably now.

I think you're opening yourself up for some stick here mate posting that. Trent has been panned on here for his inability (a lot of the time) to defend, and that's in a position he's used to, so how would he manage as a DM? I would however try him in the right of midfield though as an experiment, while we're 'rock bottom' and all that.

Personally think he needs to be dropped for a few games. Unfortunately I think he's gotten a bit too big for his boots.

If we had a manager that is tactically clever enough maybe the changing of certain players may work e. g elliot on the left, carvalho in the 10 or advanced 8, gomez at right back, gakpo on the left, fabihno at centre back. Trent is having his confidence eroded each week at right back an he needs to be rested along with salah and many more.

@Hailstones, that sounds more like change for the sake of change instead of tactical astuteness. Also, are you implying that Klopp, the man who got won our first EPL in 30 years and got us to three CL finals isn't tactically clever?

Hailstones almost took you seriously until you insulted Klopp and followed it up with suggesting we convert Fab, one of the slowest players in the league to CB…

Elliot also looks poor on the left so should only be covering Salah and Carvalho needs to get in the gym for a few months. Every time I’ve seen him gets bullied off the ball and doesn’t have the skill/ speed to get away from players like Coutinho did who was able to play in those positions.

He would be great in midfield would definitely give the ball away less than Thiago. But then who plays right back it seems Ramsey isn’t ready yet.

you don't think his defending could improve playing dm when he will be mostly face on rather then chasing back. his passing range is more suited to the role aswell. bajcetic looks good but will need resting.
