Hi Eds, have been reading posts and your replies with interest and do wonder if two young and relatively inexperienced managers like Alonso and Amorin would actually want the Liverpool role so early in their careers (obviously Alonso doesn't), as it's a huge challenge to manage a club of Liverpool's stature and the weight of expectation that comes with it, but also to follow Klopp is doubly challenging. I remember Emery, who I admire, struggled at Arsenal after Wenger left and everyone struggled at Man U after Ferguson and Potter was touted as the next top manager and failed at Chelsea.
For someone like Amorin, it feels like a huge risk for both Liverpool and Amorin, but there doesn't seem to be too many other options out there but I'd like to know your thoughts on Michel from Girona?
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I am sure that they would both be open to an offer from Liverpool and it can always be a risk brining in a new manager. Michel has had an exceptional season but he is not an option for Liverpool. de Zerbi is perhaps still an option but there are two other sides ahead of Liverpool in chasing him. Nagelsmann remains an option.}

Who knows where the truth lies, but from my point of view it seems the most likely destinations for each of the names making the rounds is Amorin to LFC, de Zerbi to Bayern and Southgate to United. I agree that Nagelsmann seems to be a solid option for LFC should they not get one of their prioritized targets.

If Klopp does have any input into our next manager I think it would be JN.

Klopp's already said he would have no input into our next manager.

While De Zerbi seems to be a very tactically astute manager, players moan a bit about boring training and fans complain about mechanical manager without much personality. I would go Nagelsmann, although his constant tinkering and cavalier attacking does worry me.

Ed002 are the two sides Bayern and Chelsea?

{Ed002's Note - Certainly Bayer and Deco wants him at Barcelona but the board want someone else. Chelsea have a list of potential targets and he is on it but not first choice.}

Michel is under employment of City Group so he’s not an option and never will be. Also don’t see Amorim being an option given our poor relationship with Sporting.

Given the circumstances, the next manager is going to be, it’s going to be underwhelming in a Brendan Rodgers or Roy Hodgson way and that’s being generous.

I must say that I would prefer a younger manager with Premier League experience.
Gary O Neil anyone?

I once bumped into nagelsmann while working in Germany. He's a very very underrated manager, he tries to play to the strength of the players he has and wants to score goals. He's also very flexible and willing to learn.

We had a chat for about 20 minutes or so and he asked which team I follow, when i said Liverpool he said "beautiful team, historic"

So I think the thing about him disrespecting the club is bull to be honest.

Langland, I’d give O’Neil a chance.
