As I showed you the flight. I can insure everyone that no Salah will not be sold the bud of 200 mill will be rejected and Liverpool will sell next season. Nothing has changed. It's too late in the window.

Turn 200m down now hoping you might get a decent bid in the summer? Listen, a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. If we turn 200m down we’re stupid. Salah is an amazing talent however he’s 31, everyone moans we don’t spend money and truth be told we can’t compete with Man City and Chelsea in the transfer market. We need to be clever and cash in on players. If he goes will we miss him? Yes! What team wouldn’t but that cash could buy us two good players!

What u reckon eds? To be sold or not be sold?!

{Ed002's Note - I have explained my thoughts on it.}

"We need to be clever" and "sell Salah" don't belong in the same sentence.
Teams aiming to win top prizes don't sell their elite players, no matter how much misguided fans clamour for it.

Pegleg, isn't the 'bird in the hand' Salah himself and 200mil used for looking for the 'bird in the bush'

Pegleg. Are you confident we have the fire power to keep us in contention for honours until the next transfer window if Mo is sold. Mo scores consistently and is never injured. His contribution to the team is top draw and despite his age I don't recall any poster suggesting his legs have gone. For me I would think maybe sell in 12 months giving the club time to find a replacement. Bearing in mind any player Liverpool wish to sign will more than likely cost a premium.

Salah on the field means we will definately be more successful this season on the pitch.

200m Pounds in the bank means we will, not be more successfull on the pitch

I know what I would prefer.

It comes with 200 buds as well Rigsby.

Maybe swapping it for Stella would swing the deal in their favour.

They seem desperate for him. Sell him next summer, it’ll be much less fee, but that’ll be covered by champions league qualification and the money we’ll get for winning the premiership.

Totally agree JLCBM. Sell Salah now and we go from 6 strikers last season to 4. We are then 1 injury away from a crisis and a weaker starting 11 and the bench.

I think he'll go in January and the club will now be working in deals to announce early like they did VVD.

However, I think the club would find it very hard to turn down 200m and if they did take it I wouldn't blame them.

Gaga, the simple answer is I don’t know, what I do know is we’re n a better position than when we lost coutinho and Suarez . We’ve got Diaz, gakpo, Nunez and jota aswell as Elliot and doak who would have the chance to step up. In an ideal world I’d keep Salah, but like I’ve stated we can’t compete financially. Who says they’ll come back in for him next summer? Plus if they do they might only offer a fraction of what they’re offering now.

“No Salah” will be the clubs response to any bids this summer.

Personally I think whatever Mo wants to do should be the club's stance. If he wants to go, milk the Saudis for every penny, no point keeping a player that wants to leave, if he wants to stay, discussion over.

Because all we really dream of as fans is a bit more money in the bank.

I have played a bit of Football Manager in my time and I can see the appeal of dreaming of a £200m investment pot for the next transfer window.

But in real life this kind of thinking just doesn't work for a fan. Fans should be pleading for the best players to create the most excitement. It's the club's job to make it happen financially and sustainably.

That's why I find it a bit weird that fans are playing out the no-Salah scenario in their minds. We should be demanding the club to keep Salah and generate more income through better deals, new revenue streams, trophies and what not. Demand more, not find excuses for the club to do less.

What’s football manager? I’m talking from a business sense of mind. I’m a builder, run my own company. I’m not loaded but I’m comfortable. When tools vehicles are getting tired I sell them and re invest into newer and better models. Now taking that into Salah and Liverpool. Salah in no doubt is the best at what he does in the world, however he’s 31 and if someone is offering 200m I’d personally take it and re invest it into the team. I’d love to keep him here until he retires but will fsg dip their hands into their pockets and find a suitable replacement? The sort that 200m could go out and find?

So you sell you best tools, in peak condition when they are working at their best for market value, you will have to use that money to buy a cheaper replacement that might not work as well. I would keep the tools I have that make me perform at my best.

Would you sell your 5 year old Makita drill to buy 10 Draper ones that you hope are going to be as good as your Makita one, no because Makita is top quality.

I remember as a kid watching John Barnes be the best player alive and thinking I really wish we could sell him and have more money in the bank. It's what dreams are made of.

So Pegleg would sell his best tool/ vehicle in the middle of a job knowing he couldn't replace it for 3 months? Interesting.

Can you finish the stand for us, please, pegleg?
Or do you have to wait til January or next summer because you've sold your tools?

@TB2 I was the same with Kenny - best in the world, let’s sell him and bank the cash - makes watching the team so much more enjoyable.
