I'm hearing Klopp is stepping down at the end of the season. Someone please tell me its BS.

1.) 08 Nov 2023 16:44:13
I don’t think if he was it’d be announced this early in the season, imo, he hasn’t finished his 2.0 job yet. I call BS.

2.) 08 Nov 2023 17:54:41
How many times has that crP been posted over the last few years.

3.) 08 Nov 2023 17:57:35
I love rumour-mongering without naming a source.

4.) 08 Nov 2023 18:48:40
Just heard it off someone who got it from facebook. Don't know who originally come out with it. The person i got it from also said they heard Carragher talking about the next manager, so who knows. No smoke without fire and all that. The post also said that a 41y/ o was lined up. Isn't Alonso 41? Anyway, i hope it's BS, but if it did turn out to be true, I wouldn't be against Alonso coming in, even if he did have massive boots to fill.

5.) 08 Nov 2023 18:49:56
It’s BS.

6.) 08 Nov 2023 19:11:25
Facebook is your source? Grown up.

7.) 08 Nov 2023 19:14:26
Saw this in a derelict phone box in Manchester so must be true.

8.) 08 Nov 2023 21:00:20
'Just heard it off someone who got it from Facebook'. Thank you so much for this OP, properly made me smile ?.

9.) 08 Nov 2023 22:11:45
We all talk about who might be our next manager, it means nothing! There's even been talk of Klopp extending, so who knows.

{Ed014's Note - I heard United are in the market for a new manager! ?‍♂️?

10.) 08 Nov 2023 22:14:27
Heard it from an Everton taxi driver - must be gospel.

11.) 08 Nov 2023 22:20:28
Love it how people just come on in order to mock.

12.) 09 Nov 2023 07:23:36
It's not mocking, it's having a laugh!

13.) 09 Nov 2023 07:27:22
Not mocking - it’s Scouse banter - everyone takes the p*** and in return you take the p*** out of everyone else. No harm meant (at least pre-interweb days) .

14.) 09 Nov 2023 08:24:03
Some don't come on simply to mock, but will take the opportunity when it presents itself. Nobody is saying anything outrageous or out of order. Maybe a bit thin skinned?

15.) 09 Nov 2023 08:45:41
Unless I hear it from Ulla Sandrock then it ain't true.

16.) 09 Nov 2023 08:49:24
Not thin skinned, just that's how the comments appear. One of the drawbacks of text communication is you don't get the body language or the tonality along with the comment. It's all good. So anyway, the general feeling is that it's BS? That would be my preferred outcome tbh.

17.) 09 Nov 2023 10:30:36
West Derby Wanderer3, it isn't just Scouse banter, it is a general British sense of humour, not exclusive to Liverpool. maybe not even exclusive to Britain ?.

18.) 09 Nov 2023 10:45:47
Carra as manager ??.

19.) 09 Nov 2023 16:01:35
I thought there could be the tiniest shred of truth until you said Carra as next manager!

Carra couldn’t manage a football team. I’m surprised he’s kept the Sky job for this long he’s got absolutely no idea about tactics whatsoever. He just blags his way through every day of his life!

20.) 09 Nov 2023 16:54:44
Disagree totally the guy is a pure legend! I won’t hear a bad word said about him, top lad and should be on the list for a knighthood no doubt. Ignore the haters Carra you are loved and adored by millions keep up the good work.

21.) 09 Nov 2023 23:13:54
Bloody hope it's not Ljinders who's turning 41. Gulp!

22.) 10 Nov 2023 00:00:35
I understand what you are saying @SzSz8 and there are some sorts of humour that are more ‘universal’ (like slapstick) but I think that there is definitely a form of humour specific to Liverpool - a sort of acid sarcasm born out of affection.

23.) 10 Nov 2023 21:25:48
I think Xabi Alonso could be our next manager, if he isn't snapped up by Real Madrid.

24.) 11 Nov 2023 00:29:10
Alonso would be my pick, although I have an incling Pep is being groomed for the job even though he (& Klopp) continue with the amateur tactics.

25.) 14 Nov 2023 02:00:34
Incredible Bulk - you probably just came on here to verify a far fetched rumour you heard through the grapevine which is fair! With social media being so focused on clicks I’d be taking any kind of news with less than a grain of salt. Doesn’t mean it’s not worth getting checked out here but I’ve long since stopped worrying about everything that comes across my screen these days mate.

26.) 14 Nov 2023 18:21:09
Facebook? Come on, man. Give me something to work with here.

12 Jun 2022 15:18:10
So, reports are saying that The Nunez deal is done and he will complete his medical tomorrow. £64 mill up front with £21 mill in add-ons. 6 year deal.

Glad it's over the line. I think the blokes going to be a legend for us.

1.) 12 Jun 2022 15:33:28
It’s good if Liverpool get the player they want
It’s just I really don’t see it or see what
The interest is in the player

I just think he is clumsy and not clinical

But I am sure they see sth in the player so
Let’s give the dude time.

2.) 12 Jun 2022 15:34:13
A mixture between Torres and Suarez? We have a hybrid since we couldn't get the real
Thing all those years ago. If he can match and better manes goal scoring its a great move. We
Have missed someone to turn that draws into wins!

3.) 12 Jun 2022 15:47:55
Is this the first time we sign a player that Harey posts about a million times? i swear he was begging for him early as November.

4.) 12 Jun 2022 15:53:38
Red rebel id say u cried tears when u seen us sign Andy robbo!

5.) 12 Jun 2022 15:55:38
Nunez reminds me more of Cavani.

I have reservations about his signing, but Klopp and our transfer committee know far more than me. We clearly wanted him badly and, while it is an awful lot, he is considered the man to take the mantle from Mane, Salah who have been integral in the offensive phase of play (Diaz, Nunez and Salah will be a frightening front 3. Not to forget Jota, from the bench when needed. )

6.) 12 Jun 2022 16:08:11
No way jay
I didn’t blink because we got him for free.

{Ed001's Note - no we didn't.}

7.) 12 Jun 2022 16:33:26
Redrebel mate, Andy cost us a reported £8m. You can easily double check these things before you post.

8.) 12 Jun 2022 16:46:38
I recall posters having reservations when we signed Salah! Didn't turn out to be too bad a signing.
Time will tell with Numez, however any player that virgil admits is one of his hardest opponents must have something in his locker! If he can settle as quickly as Diaz, and Diaz can add goals to his game, I'm sure things will be rosy again next season!

9.) 12 Jun 2022 16:49:23
We didn't get him 4 nothing but stewart went to Hull for 7 million just after we signed Robertson.

10.) 12 Jun 2022 16:49:50
I’ve been wanting a goal scoring CF for 2 years.
I hope Nunez is as deadly as he looked live this season because the lad was a nightmare for our defence.
I just hope he improves that touch and we have another brilliant Liverpool player no question.

11.) 12 Jun 2022 16:51:52
Redrebel1 not clinical? Correct me if I'm wrong. but doesn't he have the best or very close to stats this past season for chance conversion?! He was absolutely clinical in the games against us especially at Anfield with 2 exceptional finishes (1 ended up offside)

12.) 12 Jun 2022 17:51:08
First touch, ball retention and link up play, all poor, according to Alfredo Fumacas of the Benfica Podcast.

I’d say his technical ability is something that needs quite a bit of development and improvement.

His first touch is not the best and often we’ll see his physicality and quickness have to make up for a looser touch.

The positive is that the effort level and the way he invests himself in the game are what you can expect from Darwin on a regular basis – it’s not uncommon to see Darwin still doing sprints late in the game. He is that type of player.

Darwin’s biggest current negative is his technical level.

He has stood out this past season because of his physical traits and because Benfica became too dependent on him for goals. Essentially, due to the lack of other solutions on the field, his performances became a highlight because of Benfica’s poor season, if that makes sense: he was a standout in a disappointing overall campaign.

In terms of his valuation, with so many of Europe’s top clubs enquiring, the price was always going to be inflated.

Honestly, in my opinion, it’s a bit high for the player he is now, but time could show it to be a bargain.

Everyone thought Ruben Dias was overvalued for example, yet today the feeling is that Man City underpaid for him.

Darwin is still young and the potential is definitely there – and importantly, Liverpool’s track record in terms of signings have proven they are not wrong too often, especially with Portuguese or Portuguese-based signings like Jota and Diaz.

Darwin operated much better when he could find room in the channels and with space in front of him to use his speed and strength.

He can operate as a No. 9 searching for pockets between the centre-back and full-back, or on the wing going one-vs-one with a defender.

There he can benefit from an advantage in terms of his speed and strength.

Operating in small spaces where touch is key is where he will struggle, for example holding the ball up right in between two centre-backs or in a tight area where the touch-and-run will not be an option.

13.) 12 Jun 2022 17:57:03
Great news about Nunez! Just his medical now apparently.
I’ve heard he’s flying into Chester Hawarden Airport at 10.28am in morning on a Cessna Citation Jet from Almeria .
Hope its all true .

14.) 12 Jun 2022 18:37:38
La it's the Babelcopter ?.

15.) 12 Jun 2022 19:05:54
I’m no football scout but even I could see that Nunez gave us a torrid time in both games against Benfica. More so than any other player we’ve faced this season.
You can say that we hold a high line and give teams chances but that just doesn’t hold up when we’ve got the joint best defence in the league.
This lad is deadly in an average Benfica team. Imagine what he’ll do with Robbo, Trent, Thiago, Salah, Diaz, Fabinho, Hendo to supply him.
I’m excited.

16.) 12 Jun 2022 19:21:47
Thank god none of our fans are in charge of anything

Every signing we have I see people who think that they know better writing guff like.

Robbo. he's useless just got relegated, not up to our standards
Diaz . he did nothing against us, why buy him
Konate. fans of his club are laughing at us, he's useless

etc etc etc

Lets welcome incoming players and judge them on how they perform for US

JK rarely buys the finished product - he develops players

Also, I won't be surprised if we replace both Mane and Salah this window.

17.) 12 Jun 2022 19:36:18
A lot of experts on here today. Just give the lad a chance and your full support and be glad we are competitive in the transfer market.

18.) 12 Jun 2022 20:11:01
I’m with u zappasnake I think both might go.

19.) 12 Jun 2022 20:18:18
I'm surprised at the 6 year deal. Usually we read about 4 and 5 year deals. Tells you the club have decided they like him enough and want to tie themselves down to this guy (when's the last time anyone saw FSG take a gamble? )

20.) 12 Jun 2022 20:38:38
Anyone suggesting his finishing is anything but excellent needs to go back and look at his finishing vs Liverpool in the champions league. Liverpool create huge amount o chances every game and we still struggle for goals in games like cl final. We’ve needed a finisher he looks like he could be the answer.

21.) 12 Jun 2022 21:20:40
I really hope he isn't flying here in a cessna. Had a terrible experience in one of those once. Never again.

22.) 12 Jun 2022 21:41:42
@Beckers Pecker, great post mate. The thing is being good / a stand out in a useful side bodes really well for the. Potential to be excellent in a top side.

The thing about us is that the sum of the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, as the old saying goes. If the lad can settle in well I think he could be an excellent buy for us.

23.) 12 Jun 2022 22:06:31
Wdw that is the nail on the head for this Liverpool klopp era. When Salah was brought in from roma he was considered by many as a quick winger who was a chelsea flop. Now there’s talk that he’s One of the best players in the world. I don’t think the players in this Liverpool team would be as successful elsewhere but at Liverpool they are in a team that plays to their strengths. Klopp has brought in players that suit the style of football he wants his teams to play.

24.) 12 Jun 2022 23:29:31
Exactly WDW.
I’m not sure about everyone else but when we played Benfica I expected him to score every time he got near the goal. He just looked so calm in front of goal and always picked the right option. You just know I top goal scorer when you see one they just take chances differently than everyone else.
I’ve been lauding him ever since even though I thought we had no chance of signing him. I truly believe he will be one of the best strikers in world football.

25.) 13 Jun 2022 00:03:00
When I started following the Red Bird over 60yrs ago, I was put off Everton (who were the superior team) by the way that their fans acted.
Smug know-alls that never missed an opportunity to put down any player that LFC signed.
We on the other hand welcomed all signings, none of whom were “big names” and waited until we saw what they could do in our team with our style of play.

I think many, including Mane and Salah have forgotten that their starring roles only allow them to shine because of the way that the team is set up to play in a way that allows them the freedom to perform at their peak.
Now to “fans”… mostly on here I can recall posts welcoming new signings in these words along the lines of:-
Milner, he’s too old and past it now
Robbo… not good enough, he was relegated for a reason
Salah… Chelsea failure and he’s not got much better in the easier Italian leagues
Konate…. Not good enough look at the Leipzig fan forums, they think he’s useless and a liability and can’t believe we are buying him.
Diaz, He’s nothing special, did nothing against us when we played them.
And now Nunez before he’s kicked a ball, see above
What he ‘s done means nothing, the stats mean very little; What is important is how he fits into JK’s system and how he grows under the coaches guidance

I trust this manager more than any of our fans, he knows what he’s doing.
We seldom buy the finished article, we buy potential and people with the right attitude

One last thing, don’t be surprised if both Mane and Salah are replaced in this window.

Ask a string of players who have left for more money to tell you about their success and happiness that they found after we lost those “Stars” from our team.
Many posters would have binned Gerrard, Rush, Carra and many others who had appalling first seasons

For god’s sake let’s welcome new signings and let’s see what they become in time.

26.) 13 Jun 2022 07:12:52
From what i've seen and heard about Nunez he is fast powerful, good striker of the ball and improving in the air. He turns up in big matches and has good movement off the ball (does tend to drift left - but that might just be because of instructions from the coach) . More importantly Benfica fans see him as being humble, having a high work rate and apparently very keen to listen and learn. Skills that he was weak in he has clearly worked on and improved (eg he was constantly getting offside to being with but is much better) . For that alone i think he will succeed. He was asked to change his style of play this year and apparently has done a good job of that. Ed2 reckons most of the top teams were looking very hard at him. It does sound like he has a similar skillset to haaland but with les injury issues. I reckon we get behind him and give him time to settle.

27.) 13 Jun 2022 07:21:28
Spaceman has just regurgitated what a pundit has said. nunez looks good to me and I've only seen him a couple of times. His record speaks for itself. Let's let the experts choose hey!

28.) 13 Jun 2022 08:08:05
And the player chose us over ManU!

29.) 13 Jun 2022 08:48:09
I think he would have got a better salary at Man utd then what we are offering for now we can guess he wants to be rich and successful and not just former.

Whether or not we over paid to get his signature at a level where man utd were not going to go. not sure on that.

{Ed025's Note - he is costing a lot of money bhav. Upwards of £85m they are saying. Now perhaps you can all stop moaning about how much Man City are spending… people who live in glass houses and all that..

30.) 13 Jun 2022 08:53:30
Don't know how Salah was a Chelsea flop when he never got a chance there. De Bruyne and Salah are in the same boat as they actually never were flops and demanded to play and to be given chances hence why both left Chelsea. Many of us thought Salah was a brilliant signing.

31.) 13 Jun 2022 09:53:29
I had reservations about salah, and I was completely wrong. You just have to trust the team, they've got it right so many times before.

Nunez looked very impressive against us in the champions league, and certainly seems to know where the net is! Hopefully he's more clinical than what we have and all those draws start turning into wins.

32.) 13 Jun 2022 10:27:40
Great to get Nunez in early rather than at the end of the window. Gives him a full pre-season along with Diaz, Carvalho and hopefully Ramsay.

33.) 13 Jun 2022 12:06:24
I’m a new poster so a big hello to everyone! With regard to Nunez, if I’ve got this correct he averages a non penalty goal every 90 mins ish, which places him top in the big 6 leagues. His touch and hold up play isn’t as bad as may seem and he works hard and can press. Seems perfect for us and likes to drift left, so when he clicks with Diaz they will pull defenders all over the place with their movement and interchanging. which should also free up space for Salah/ Bowen/ Raphina to attack. Also gives us the option of playing virtually every system known to the footballing gods. Bellingham would complete the squad for me.

34.) 13 Jun 2022 12:50:17
It would probably help if we didn't get told on here every 2 minutes that Liverpool have no money and have to sell every time to get a player, we are still looking at midfield too, so money is obviously there, this lad is the next superstar we make, he has it all and will be an absolute player.

35.) 13 Jun 2022 13:08:29
He's faster than Torres do he must be one of the fastest players in the world.

36.) 13 Jun 2022 17:51:21
Yeah but Torres has lost that burst of speed since he retired and put on 10 stone of muscle, so it wouldn't be hard.

37.) 13 Jun 2022 18:38:17
Ed25 I think you miss the point about City. They can sign £100m players without selling which means they constant improve their squad. We are only having to spend this money because we are losing Mane and possibly Salah too.
We only bought VVD and Allison because we had to sell Coutinho.
There is a world of difference between what Liverpool spend and what City spend even with this deal going through.

{Ed002's Note - you need to get over Liverpool being so hard done by. They have just agreed to a €100m player. It is embarrassing to see posts like this.}

38.) 14 Jun 2022 08:40:15
Who ever said Liverpool are hard done by Ed? Certainly not me. All I’m saying is City are bankrolled by one of the richest countries in the world so we can’t compete with them in the transfer market.
They added Grealish for £100m without weakening their squad elsewhere. Not they just added Haaland to that and they are not finished.
Us losing Mane for £40m and replacing him for £85m is just not the same thing.
But hey it’s an excuse for you to have a go at us ‘kopites’ so whatever floats your boat I suppose.

{Ed077's Note - I know you were directing your reply to another Ed but I couldn't help but jump in. City too have sold players, for big sums of money. Ferran Torres sale covered the Haaland fee, for example. And they have a loan army that can bring in a fair Chunck either as loan fee or sale.

Well the time at the top of the table was nice while it lasted, now Lurch has just finished off West ham. A draw would of been the best result from a LFC perspective.

1.) 16 Sep 2023 21:01:46
I think City losing would have been the best result. They are going to get more points than Wast Ham this season.

17 Jun 2023 15:12:49
So looks like we've bagged Micky Van de Ven for about 30m. I never seen him play. Is he any good?

1.) 17 Jun 2023 16:08:52
Excellent business if we sell tsimikas for the same price. Can play left or centre.

2.) 17 Jun 2023 16:48:25
We won't get near £30m for Tsimikas if we were to sell him. Not sure where you're getting that idea from.

3.) 17 Jun 2023 17:41:11
I have not seen anywhere that confirms this signing, have you been on twitter or following the “fat kid” from Bolton.

4.) 17 Jun 2023 18:10:41
Can’t see it on twitter yet.

5.) 17 Jun 2023 18:53:15
Fat Kid is banned. Unless he has a new account.

6.) 17 Jun 2023 20:30:34
£30m for Tsimikas?

I’m not seeing that to be honest.

7.) 17 Jun 2023 21:43:08
Van den Ven has been linked with Liverpool since the day Schmadtke joined the club (well over a week), by various sites.

{Ed002's Note - Not before then?}

8.) 18 Jun 2023 10:50:09
Incredible Bulk, When did he sign? I read somewhere that he had just signed a new deal.

9.) 18 Jun 2023 11:34:45
All just rumours. Ed2 mentioned him a while back now.

10.) 18 Jun 2023 11:54:30
OliRed - I was told about it, but upon further investigation, it turns out that the article came from the Echo (i know) . They said that he was going to turn down city in favour of us, and that we would be willing to pay ten times that of the 3mil Wolfsburg paid for him originally. It also said that his future will be decided after the summer. So it still seems all very speculative considering these new details.

29 Aug 2022 20:52:17
Am i banned from posting? My last two posts were never posted.

{Ed014's Note - first post of yours I’ve seen, you posted a reply earlier today to dhfc at about 9.50am and the one before that was on 23rd August.

Seen nothing to suggest your banned fella.

01 Jul 2022 17:18:43
I see Salah has signed a new 3 year deal with us. Great news IMO. It will give the club cash if he does leave at some point plus he should be focused on scoring goals with us.

1.) 01 Jul 2022 17:47:41
Life is good.

2.) 01 Jul 2022 18:09:01
Excellent news TIB, he loves Liverpool football club, he just wanted more money.
Hopefully he stops getting slagged off now and we can appreciate that one of the best players in the world wants to stay here and score more goals, win more trophies.

3.) 01 Jul 2022 18:23:37
Salah should have been sold like Mane. 3 years ago they stunk up the place against Athletico ?.

4.) 01 Jul 2022 18:47:45
Not if he sees out his contract.
I don't know why people are so bothered about players leaving on a Bosman; especially the likes of Salah. He'll have done a good few years with us and be well into his 30s when this contract is up.
Just enjoy watching him play. I'll.

5.) 01 Jul 2022 19:00:19
JK, don’t embarrass yourself. They stink up the joint in that game vs Atleti and NOWHERE did I say either should have been sold. Your troll game needs some work, btw. It’s as weak as a soup sandwich.

6.) 02 Jul 2022 04:56:47
Oli the best advice I could give you is if you’re not funny don’t try and be funny.

For someone who claims to watch football 25 hours a day and knows everything about every player how is Oviedo the non midfielder right winger ? doing.

{Ed0666's Note - You guys need to get a room

7.) 02 Jul 2022 05:53:03
Ed066 I’d rather go on a 12 hour Everton trophy room tour.

8.) 02 Jul 2022 08:47:53
The signs of a deep bromance have been there for a while now. Where you been, Ed0666? ?.

9.) 03 Jul 2022 16:43:09
JK fir the umpteenth time, you’ve had a ‘mare here, son. Who the heck is Oviedo?

22 Feb 2021 08:26:12
So Haaland wants a £78m package over five years in order to move to the prem this summer according to sly sports.

With the obvious German / Klopp / Dortmund connection, could we dare to dream?

I know we're not that financially flush at the moment, but could we sell a bunch of players to raise funds for the purchase? I know who i would get rid of.

1.) 22 Feb 2021 09:07:35
That figure does not even include the ridiculous signing on and agent fee that Raiola would want. And there is the 100 million euros plus transfer fee to consider as well if we want him this summer.
I'd happily sell Mane and Bobby to fund a nice for Halaand, but it's never going to happen.
We need to freshen up the squad a little with 3 new players and Elliot and Minamino to come back after solid loan spells.
Cannot just go throwing all the money we raise on one player.

2.) 22 Feb 2021 09:26:59
Haaland ain't coming cos we all know we cannot afford the whole pay package, financially. No point talking about it, IMO. It is wishful thinking at this point.

I think Haaland is a wonderful player and is going to be one of the best players itw over the next 10 years.
However, if we were to go out and sign a quality striker, I’d look at Lautaro Martinez at inter Milan. He’s doing fantastic things currently and while he’s also be on the expensive side he’s be the one I’d go for over Haaland.
That being said if we sign a forward in summer I suspect it’ll be somebody to be a back up, Raphina, Patson Daka, somebody that can push the other players but won’t consistently play.

CB - 1 if of: Konate, DCC, Botman, White.
CM - 1/ 2 of: Bissouma, Zakaria, Sanches, Barella, De Paul
Forward - 1 of: Daka, Watkins, Raphina. (In a fifa world I’d have Martinez over any of them) .

Definitely need 3 solid signings to freshen things up.

And the fact we won't have champions league football next season.

5.) 22 Feb 2021 10:55:47
Personally think we will get DCC, Bissouma and one of Raphinha/ Neto.
Money can hopefully be raised by selling Shaq, Origi, Wilson, Grujic, Awoniyi, Ojo, Millar, Karius, Woodburn etc.
If one of the current front 3 goes, would not mind Patson Daka or Balogun at all.

Just going for squad fill out is getting us in this mess, Haaland is a no brainer for me, Gini is off, sell Bobby, Origi, Shaq, Matip, Wilson etc, get there large wage off the book and a bit of transfer money, we have players out on loan who can replace (Elliot, Mini, Grujic) and players around the squad already so no need to buy squad players for the sake of it. We could get Haaland and not break the bank imo.

7.) 22 Feb 2021 11:40:23
It's funny isn't it? Apart from the fact that we were not able to replace Lovren with an injury-resistant CB, we were all pretty happy with the summer business of Tsimikas, Thiago and Jota.

I do agree that we need to make a few more invasive tweaks in the summer.

My picks would be Kounde, Botman (yes two CBs), Bissouma, Raphinha, Haaland. Presumably we'd need to sell at least one big name to fund Haaland.

8.) 22 Feb 2021 12:24:06
FlyPelican, I think Kounde would be too small to be an effective premier league centre back and would be dominated by anyone in the air, given the rather agricultural approach from most of the teams.

9.) 22 Feb 2021 12:52:28
I thought that too but he's aerial stats suggest otherwise. You're right that he is small. But he's super tenacious. Guaranteed fan favourite. And alongside a Botman or VVD he'd be fine.

10.) 22 Feb 2021 14:38:03
Is still not fancy him against the aerial bombardment you get from most of the teams in the premier league. Winning a few headers in Spain where they tend to keep the ball on the deck and don’t really play long ball stuff is one thing, but put him in against the likes of West Brom, Burnley, Sheff United or whatever and he’ll be made mincemeat of.

I'd sign Haaland's dad just to wind up Roy Keane.

He's class based on what i have seen of him. It's irrelevant if he's having a stinker of a season or not. I haven't seen many players such as Chielsa for over a year either but you know he's class as well. You're just finding something/ anything pointless to bitch about my post about. Give it a rest lad.

Thunderbird 2. How does my post translate into me wanting a shiny new toy each summer? I happen to want him as he's class, and just so happens to play in a position we need. Or rather needed (taking into consideration the performances of Endo) . We also need defensive reinforcements, so does that mean its sad for desiring that, or that they would be a shiny new toy as well? I swear people just come on here sometimes to jump on others posts.

I think Amorim will be coming to LFC. Why else would FSG hire a former sporting employee? No smoke without fire and all that. If it is Amorim, hopefully he can bring Ugarte with him ?.

First i've heard of it, but if true, is anyone really surprised? He's a Spaniard, and most Spanish managers would dream to manage Real Madrid. You would think one would buck the trend and move to a "peoples" team in Spain, and not one bankrolled by the Spanish elite. But hey ho. His loss, as Liverpool is still the greatest club in the world.

Ed002, no one knows for sure as it's all just speculation and accusation. But if i was to start digging, i would start with referees who go to Saudi Arabia and UAE, only to return and immediately officiate prem clubs linked to those nations. I would also investigate 'insider trading' in the betting industry. Is it coincidental that Sly's pundits fail to speak out about the heinous decisions week in and week out, and that same organisation is heavily invested in gambling? We all know about players taking money to throw matches and gambling on the outcomes, would it not be feasible for this to go higher up the chain? There's buffoons that run things on a daily basis in all walks of life. Too many screwups and they get replaced. That happens in every single industry on the planet except politics and football.

The sooner people face the fact that the game is so obviously fixed for one result or another, the sooner we can purge this corruption out of the game and go back to watching a pure sporting contest. We've been denied at least 4 points this season (Tottenham, Man City), down to the most heinous of duck-ups. They want a team to win the league and it isn't Liverpool. The league is fixed just like the NFL, and many players have testified to that fact.

Because the game is corrupt. It's so obvious. Just like every other game or authoritative organisation in the land. I watch football for entertainment purposes only. A bit like WWE. You know its BS but you watch it anyway.

The match against City is a must win. There is simply no other acceptable result if we are to win this league. We have a few banana skins coming up in the remaining fixtures. City won't be dropping any more points this year unless we take them off them. Arsenal won't be dropping many points, unless of course that is to city. We have to win its as simple as that. And I believe we will spank them personally.
