I agree, Caicedo would be amazing, imagine getting him and Bellingham in the summer, our midfield age starts to come down, Caicedo 21, Bellingham 20, bajcetic 18, Elliot 20, Jones 22, Morton 20. I would though, look and think we need someone on the 25-27 age bracket, and would think rabiot on a free would be amazing. Then the obvious ox and keita leave on a free, Milner either new 1 year or on to the coaching staff. Thinks could start looking a lot better from next season in a perfect world where we get those done. Have to laugh at TIA, talking about the unnamed club in Caicedo social media post, and talking up potential Liverpool, it’s bloody arsenal he is going to, not us, our eggs are in the Bellingham basket at the end of the season.

Personally i think the message he's put out is a very big reason to not touch him with a barge pole. Extremely unprofessional. He's contracted to Brighton and shouldn't be posting self absorbed pleas on social media. Might as well have done an interview with Piers Morgan. If we sign him and then in 18 months Barcelona come calling, he going to down tools and turn to agent Instagram again?

I really like Caicedo and was really hoping we would sign him earlier in the window but his recent conduct and the Instagram post has put me right off him. Would rather we look at other targets.

Exactly Lamborini. He's not even training today so he likely won't be playing tomorrow either. Basically he's downed tools and gone public to force Brighton's hand. He's been their 18 months and he's 21. It's not like he's running out of time. It's actually pathetic. We have a great squad harmony because we avoid egotistical maniacs. Let's not change that.

MK Scouser. You do realise the tricks a few players did to get their move to us. I agree it may well be viewed as being in poor taste what Caicedo did last night. But we can’t judge when it’s others doing it and then turn a blind eye when it’s a player doing a similar thing to move to us.

If the player is right player for our midfield and if I am the manager, I would do everything to get him to Liverpool. Trade in Ox and Philips if necessary or Carvalho as well. We desperately need a player who can put in a shift week in and week out.

No one could blame him Jay Dub it’s a massive opportunity for him.
Just like no one could blame us for not spending upwards of £70m for a player we don’t want just because our players are in poor form.
We obviously believe we can turn it around with the players we have and we will go after the players we want in the summer when the market is not so mental.
I would agree with that too.

Beckers, you know what’s funny? Brighton signed Caicedo for a world record fee of 4m. Can you imagine what the doom and gloomers/ Anti/ FSG brigade would have said on here had we signed this same player many of them are bigging up now for the same 4m fee at the time? Pls, let me know your thoughts.
