Tried asking opinions on this earlier but it didn't get posted for one reason or another I think.

If you had to choose the best 4 man defence and keeper from players in the EPL right now, who would you pick?

Courtois, Azpilicueta, Alderweireld would be 3 of my 5 personally.
I'm sure many would add Van Dijk and Benjamin Mendy.
I haven't seen enough of them in all honesty to put them in.

Thoughts anyone?

I'm especially looking for a couple of names that maybe we wouldn't expect but look the real deal - not Klavan before anyone tries it :)

Mat hummels and vvd would be brilliant and they both seem like possible transfers.

Ed mate, do you know how long VVD's contract at Southampton is please?

Those two and TAA and Robertson we would have an amazing defence imo.

Thanks for the reply ed025, good man, that's a shame about his long contract from a liverpool point of view. Do you think there is a chance we might still sign him? I have a feeling they are going to sell him to arsenal.

{Ed025's Note - i think his future lies outside of southampton superred, who he goes to im not sure but i would still think liverpool are in with a good chance mate..
