Have we met with his farther this week?

{Ed002's Note - What for - still trying to cheat. It appals everyon e that Liverpool seemingly cannot follow the necessary approach to signing players and want to constantly cheat. Talk to his agent and clu b - and stop the embarrassment.}

According to german media (Bild Sport) Liverpool made contact with his management this week. Could possibly also include his father as its reported that he is the one overseeing Gravenberchs carrer.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have already been reported once for contacting the family of players this season - it is illegal. They need to learn their lesson. Why can the club not act responsibly?}

Please take it easy on me edd im genuinely asking. what's the difference between contacting a players representative to see if they are interested in moving, ballpark wages etc. And an illegal approach to a players representative? I understand that a club must ask the players club for permission to speak to player but, i've read you explain in the past that a club can approach the players representative to see if they would be interested?

{Ed002's Note - There are no illegal approaches to agents but approaches to family members is unacceptable.}

@Daretodream - Good bit of sarcasm mate, shame it wasn't well received. Like when the teacher you could sometimes have a laugh with was in one. XD.

@47 wasn’t sarcasm pal was genuine question whst I’ve read somewhere that’s all. I don’t quite understand the rest of your comment doesn’t make sense.

I really don’t get the way we’re operating in the way of transfers. just do things the correct way and process and stop trying to cheat as it only ends up blowing up the value of the player and costing us more money (vvd) . really need to change our approach as it’s getting embarrassing now.

What’s the actual benefit to us constantly doing this?

Come on ed2. surely you can feel the sarcasm?! The cheating liverpool line is becoming tedious!

{Ed002's Note - I understand you all think it is OK.}

Quick question ed002 what if family IS is his agent/ management - like anelka for example. Is it still illegal to approach them?

{Ed002's Note - His family is not registered as an agent or sports lawyer.}

The club cannot act responsibly and constantly cheats by tapping up and then leaves players high and dry. We dealt with Grujic appallingly and tapped up Van Dijk. I believe we also messed around during the Mané signing and p. ed off Southampton. Now they have messed up Bellingham and are doing the same with Gravenberch!

It’s disgusting and having oil owners would be worse? Utter hypocrisy. Either FSG allow this to go on or they have no handle on Klopp, I don’t know which is worse but we ARE cheating on a regular basis and it does not sit well with me.

It does not sit well with me either. We also have a lot of hypocritical fans who are happy for this to happen but yet slate Man City for alleged cheating.

When German football highlights used to be on ITV? Or Ch4, something like that, the woman who introduced the matches/ program said it was common place in German football re contact and tapping up.

She used the example of unlike the UK, players moving on a free for example would announce before leaving the current club who they would be joining next, Lewendoski I believe (Dortmund to Bayern), same happened with the CM who we hoped to get but went the same route (name escapes me whilst typing this) .

Also managers leaving current clubs whilst season was going on too, and where they would be managing next also.

German fans appear to be used to it. Didn’t appear to be issue whilst the said player was still playing for their side, unlike UK it is a definite no no.

This is not a justification post, just something I remember.

Goreztka was the midfielder I was referring to above. it was known whilst he still played for Dortmund he was going to Bayern.

Maybe im wrong but in my opinion tapping up (which despite what some people in fairyland would like to believe) is rife THROUGHOUT football according to any ex-footballer or manager you listen to, and i wouldn't be putting us near the same boat as Man City and what they are accused of on over a 100 seperate situations if the media are correct.

Ultimately it all comes down to how you value long term relationships with other clubs in the business. Every club wants to do the best transfer business. The ones with a long term outlook would be smart not to defecate where they dine.
