The way the cub has handled the midfield since the title winning season is appalling.
It has declined every season.
Then to lose three and sell two midfielders in one summer is ludicrous. Especially given the money in wasn't earth shattering.
Signing three players to replace five is not as bad as it reads.
Ox and Naby never played last year. The young lads who played their minutes are stil there.
Szobo is an ungrade on Hendo
Mac is an upgrade on Millie
Endo, could be anything really. Hard to see him being better than peak lighthouse. Hard to imagine him being worse than last year's alehouse.
Sign one more and we're up for me.

What I can't abide this summer is that getting here for this midfield rebuild has been highly visible for years. It was left to crash and burn out then, not rebuilt, stripped out and replaced.
So why are we doing the same at CB?
Surely a Saudi side would bung us a few quid for Matip.
Surely JoeGo has to play if he is ever going to get his career back.
Surely if Man City can have three left footed Centre Backs we can find one?
Surely if Trent is playing hybrid we fast fit cover for Konate?
Also, don't we also need just a normal right back? Competition for Trent or so TAA can start in midfield even?

In a year or three our HG will be stacked. But does anyone want to go into the new season with just 21/ 22 players in the squad? Yes we good U21s but so does every other side with 25 man squads.

I am not an FSG hater.
I started supporting the Reds in 1985. My first real team was 87/ 88.
I have never felt like it was the nd if a era. In the PL era the media definition of a big club has always - to me - mirrored how crap Liverpool were at the time.
But the side we had for three or four years. That couple of months where we were Champions of England, Europe and the World all at once. I love FSG for that (even though I understand the argument that we got there in spite of them as much as because of them) . The truth is we got there with them.

I don't like the penny pinching here followed by the British record bid there.
I would rather have the £16m Japan captain whose dreams have come true than any player who will only entertain a decade long contract, or a player who doesn't want to be our second choice - who instead is our first choice's actual second choice.
I don't want to be state funded, self sponsoring, loophole bothering, or pimping ourselves to the highest bidder.
But I would love us to have a defined budget and a clear strategy to deliver the size and quality squad we want and need to h competitive.

In summary I just want us to be the best version of us. But I would take this version over most of "them".

1. The one and only time I stood in the Kop
2. John Barnes. When the Mrs was wowed by Suarez, I showed her what that looked like in slow mo. A John Barnes highlight reel later she understood why it's the beautiful game
3. Unsurprisingly. John Barnes
4. Not favourite, but best. Cantona. Broke my little heart at Wembley back when I thought the Charity Shield was a real trophy.
5. Always thought Thierry Henry should have been a Red. A proper Red
6. The King. For everything on and off the field. But mostly for the families
Kevin Sinfield for stepping up for his mate.
Jesse Owens. He actually gave pure evil the rage
Jordan Henderson - before his move to Saudi. Everything he did was class. Everything. Don't let me down now skip. Speak out. Get yourself arrested
But of a cheat. But the lionesses. All of them and the wonderful coach. Al they did for the women's game. All the did for the game. For national pride. For making me support England.
