Hey Eds and Reds, just a thought. I believe Curtis Jones may be having his best time as a Red at the moment. I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, and I totally respect that. I also know Gareth Southgate has his "ways" and all that, but do you see Jones gatecrashing that England national team for the Euros? How about Elliott?

If he actually picked on form and talent then I'd say Jones has a shout. Elliott I'd say no doesn't get enough minutes (yep I know. ) . So long as he keeps picking the likes of phillips and gallagher then I'd say no to both.

I think Southgate would only pick him if he played practically every game til the end of the season, and I just don't think he's first on the team sheet when everyone's fit (although I think he deserves to be at the moment) . If he keeps up his form he'll get a call up eventually, but I reckon Southgate's already picked his squad, form doesn't seem to matter.

OP and this is just me, yeah? Nobody cares what the incompetent Waist Coat has to say or do anymore esp. after he hung Trent out to dry and unleashed him to the wolves in the media cos he did not have the guts to say to everyone and to trent's face that he did not fit the style he wanted for a RB in his England team.

I hope that neither Jones nor Elliott never get picked by that guy till he leaves his England position. After that, maybe we can talk. Just my opinion.

Elliot has played more minutes than Jones this season. Southgate doesn't pick on form so it's irrelevant. Yet another reason that I don't watch or care about the national team. Our players have enough important games at it is without having to be involved in that load of tosh.

Holding my hands up here as the way Jones is playing at the moment, has made me eat so much humble pie.

He seems to have matured very quickly and I *now* see what an awesome player he is/can further become.

Thought he was outstanding in the last match, and looking forward to him remaining injury free.

Jones is one of those youngsters who could make a lot of people eat humble pie. He's coming along nicely and hasn't reached his ceiling yet. Hopefully he can steer clear of injuries and it's all within his own grasp then.

I think you guys can clearly tell how Southgate chose the players. If the player got hyped a lot, then he'll be in Southgate's team. Any of the media or TV channels hyping Jones up? You guys know the answer.

That's how great Southgate is as a manager.
