With the Bellingham saga behind us and media reporting we don’t want to spend that amount on one player I also think we should stop dreaming about Gvardiol as the big hitters will also be after him.
I’m thinking £100 million plus what we sell is our budget, so maximum 3 players in.

Yeah you’re probably right, wishful thinking.

Our owners are parasites unfortunately and we’ll be stuck with secondary options.

Our owners are not parasites, they are an investment company. What you want is a sugar Daddy owner. They are not, never have been and never will be that.

Telemicus your right we do want a sugar daddy.

With you Telemicus people just love to hate the likes of Chelsea and city but in reality they want to have what they have. The same people used to applaud how well ran out club was but now the plastics are starting to turn.

But they kinda needed to be this summer Telemicus. Our average net spend of 25-30m was never going to cut it this time.

What’s the definition of a plastic fan?

What F's me off are the parallel sets of rules around FFP. FSG bought into LFC on the understanding that FFP would be implemented, which it isn't.

How can we compete consistently without a sugar daddy?

Agreed with that statement RushysBugle. I think FSG expected clubs to be run on self-sustaining models due to FFP and hence, ran Liverpool the same way. No one could have foreseen the massive jump in transfer fees over the past 10 years due to oligarchs and states buying up football clubs and pumping massive amount of money into them.

You may be right Jude, but an investment company isn't going to stop being an investment company because we feel we need 100's of millions spent on our football team.
They still look to make profits every year to share between themselves and any investors who have been promised a return.
They aren't football fans and they aren't Liverpool fans. They are businessmen and they are in business.

I agree with you as well RushysBugle. I don't believe FFP rules have been implemented properly.
