Well I've slept on it but I'm still feeling as deflated as I was last night. United fans in my work here not helping matters.

Strangely we played a fantastic first half, Salah had a huge chance and at one point Bajcetic could have played in Darwin but chose the wrong pass. We played with real intensity and created plenty which was great to see. How we didn't score from the goal line scramble I don't know.

Hendo was massively at fault for their first goal and it just unravelled from there. Heads dropped when it went 3-2, the press vanished and they tore us apart. But even then a big penalty shout on Darwin, a deflected goal Allison couldn't have done anything with. these small moments cost us massively.

Bajcetic was guilty of trying a bit too much at times and was caught out badly, but my god that lad is going to be a player. Chin up lads we need a big summer but we'll be back.

We've been giving it to United fans for years. Let them have their moments.

That's the worst bit about last night for me, I don't even think Madrid played that well. They had a mad 15 minute spell started by their 3rd goal which was the equivalent of a gut punch in boxing, completley took the stuffing out of us and they took the tie away from us. A brutal, devasting spell, but it is what Madrid are capable of.

I saw a stat that said they had 9 shots yesterday and scored 5. Sometimes it just goes against you and you have to raise your heads and go again.

We have done it often enough to other teams and this is an occasion where it has happened to us. Second time in this years CL campaign.

Last night showed how crucial getting top in the groups is and stems back to that humbling in Napoli right back on GW1.

As a fan of any club you’ve got to take the rough with the smooth and as LFC fans we can be grateful that Klopp has provided us with success that 95% of other clubs fans in the country may never see in their lifetime.

It took 30 years for us to win a league title again so we should know how hard or long a journey to try and get back to the top can be, so there’s every chance we might not come back from this in our lifetimes as there is chance we will to challenge at the very top.

Thankfully my Sky Sports and BT sports contract is up next month and I’m going to join the streaming brigade instead of throwing money down the toilet to support lots of greedy b##yards in football.

Just downloaded my 3 tickets for the Wolves game where I’ll be taking my sons best mate to his first ever Liverpool game and I just hope that the players decide to put the bare minimum of effort in to make the journey and cost worthwhile.

I think Real are a good experienced team and know how to win games. I wouldn't say they are anything special by any means. This season we have made teams look better than what they are by the poor performances (versus our standards of last season) .

JK you've hit the nail on the head their mate, whatever happens moving forward I consider myself lucky to witness what we have.

I would love us to be dominating year in year out but we have seen them become PL champions with a ridiculous record that C.V. interrupted Seen us not lose at home for like 5 years, become European and world Champions and all the other magic dust sprinkled in between.

I have and I am sure many others have memories that will last a life time, and there are a huge amount of fans across the board that would love the few years we have had.

Yes, this year has been rough, but all in all I can't really complain.

And JK, regardless of the result I hope they have a cracking day!

I feel exactly the same, WY.
The bad times make the good times better.

Spot on, WY and Rigsby. I have been blessed to be on this immense journey with this team. All the other stuff is just white noise and part of the process of life in general. Cannot enjoy the good times without going thru the bad times.
