Hendo is here we go to Saudi per Romano.

Agreed for 12m according to bbc.

19 Jul 2023 18:15:57
With Hendo and Fab both heading out the club must be a confident of getting two or three players through the door with less than 3 weeks until the start of the season.

Also 12 million for Henderson 30 million for Mahrez we've had our pants down there.

3.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 18:21:50
Mahrez is great though.

4.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 18:24:54
Clee Red, not really as that's a fair price for Henderson bit the Saudi clubs were always likely to pay premiums for marquee Muslim players.

5.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 18:26:46
Henderson going to Saudi is the equivalent of a just stop oil protestor getting a job on an oil rig. It makes me chuckle. Basically everything that has come out of his mouth the last few years is complete nonsense. Doesn’t bother me like but I’m sure there are groups of fans who will be hurt by this.

{Ed025's Note - im with you monty..

19 Jul 2023 18:28:02
Calm down he's 33 years old and we get £12 million to invest into a younger player. That's football or would you rather he went for nothing like the last 4 or 5 players.

7.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 18:35:47
As I’ve said earlier I do hope we’ve got some players up our sleeve. Losing all that experience in one go could be seen as short sighted.

8.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 18:52:21
I think it’s good business. He’s not a great player, he’s pretty much done and he’s done well to get the move. Just think he is going to regret foregoing his legacy for money. This will no doubt p&ss some fans off and he is not even going to get a send off or nothing. But it’s business and we need to remember that. Glad we are getting a fee for him because as a previous poster said, we have let too many run their contracts down, but mainly because they were useless or permanently injured.

9.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 19:22:11
Disagree Clee, show me one thing Henderson has done to earn his £190,000 a week in the last few years.

Who are the 'we' you talk about Monty? Don't you support MU and only troll these pages? It's quite sad you spend so much time on Liverpool though.

11.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 19:44:35
Think that's a bit harsh Easypeasysqueezy. OK he was poor last season but before that you could tell the difference when he wasn't playing. Still think we could of done with his leadership skills this season.

12.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 20:04:12
Monty ? couldn’t agree more, I wonder will Henderson remember his rainbow laces when he is packing for Saudi.

13.) 19 Jul 2023

Easypeasy good to know you got home from your paper round safe and sound.

19 Jul 2023 20:37:37
Hope politics stay out of football. Hendo, gave everything for LFC and he stayed loyal and worked his butt off to prove everyone wrong even when he was not wanted. he deserves his last pay day, I wish him all the CHING CHING CHING :)

15.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 20:48:40
We paid £20m for Hendo in 2011. 12 years later we are getting (according to the media ) £12m plus add ons. In terms of transfer fees a fantastic player for the club over more than a decade has cost £8m. Not bad in my opinion.

The temptation to take judgemental pot shots at people for their actions or beliefs is extremely hypocritical. Most of us, for instance, correctly believe that suppressing or denying basic human rights is wrong. However, if offered a job by people involved in human rights abuse to the value of £700k per week would put their own and their family’s financial welfare first I have four children and three young granddaughters - I’d take the money without a second thought. Who knows, with that amount I might even set up a charitable institution to help those suffering abuse. We seem to be doing classical quotes this week so … ‘Judge not lest ye be judged yourself’.

{Ed025's Note - even if you were worth £23M WDW?

16.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 20:49:14
This move for Henderson tells us his price for putting aside his ‘ethics’. On one hand i understand it but I also wish it wasn’t a thing. I do wish we could talk about this stuff like grown ups rather than having a day to day morality and then a different set of morals when it comes to our club.

17.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 21:03:19
WDW as a healthcare worker, I could easily apply to work out in Saudi, but I won't as having spoken with people who've went out there to earn money, they've told me a great many terrible things that the people out there do on a regular basis, I'm happy keeping my morals.

{Ed025's Note - respect to you lofty mate..

18.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 21:05:09
Christ it didn't take long for some people to stick the difference in to one of our great captains, the man led us through champions league and league campaigns like an absolute champ. I wish him well and I'm glad we got a fee for him.

19.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 21:22:44
I’m not a big fan of dragging morality into the football world and I don’t think others are overly concerned about footballers moral decisions typically, case and point Bobby moving to Saudi didn’t raise and eyebrows the difference is Henderson was so vocal about HIS morals prior to the World Cup etc and made money as a result so I think it’s only normal that people question HIS moral compass as he put it out there in the public domain in the first instance. For me it’s a case of don’t place yourself on a pedestal professing your nobility only to turn at speed when you see the £££. Again I have the utmost respect for Henderson and his achievements and commitment to the club as captain but have to call out the hypocrisy of his move.

20.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 21:36:07
Hendo has given everything to our club. He has never been a standout midfielder, but he has chiselled his role with years of positive attitude and graft. Its absolutely time back whatever decision he makes. I hope he eventually ends up with a backroom role at Liverpool, he's an excellent leader.

21.) 19 Jul 2023
19 Jul 2023 21:41:07
WDW, it's no where near 700k a week, roughly half that, for me a multi multi millionaire ruining his legacy for a few more millions he'll likey never get to spend just shows how greedy mega rich footballers actually are . And just another example of how full of crap they are.

{Ed025's Note - lets move on guys, i will delete any more posts on the subject..

Not a troll Klipp klopp. Just a realist. Certainly not a man United fan. I can’t believe I’m actually dignifying this with a response, but been supporting Liverpool since 1988 or so. Just because I say something that you don’t agree with, doesn’t make me a troll. It means I have an opinion and I think most would agree, mine is just as valid as yours. I’m sure yours is just wonderful and full of insight.

@Lofty - I totally respect your views and exercising your choice. Hands down, you are a decent person. The point I was making was that, very sadly, you are the exception in today’s world.

@Port Red, In general I take your point but do you know how the multi millionaire chooses to use his money? Sadio and Mo both made the press a couple of years ago when their charitable works (for want of a better phrase) on behalf of people less fortunate were brought to light. I’m not saying anybody is perfect but it’s easy to accept stereotypes.

I disliked Ronaldo for years but then discovered some of the stuff he did for children wth terminal sicknesses. I guess what I’m saying is that people aren’t one dimensional.

Enough from me though, it’s a football banter site after all.

harvey Elliot is earning roughly double the national salary in a week. surely that's enough for him?

How much is enough? no one has the right to tell someone else how much is enough for them and their family.

Apologies for hurting your feelings Monty. An excerpt of your previous post is below.

"But like this at the moment is pathetic. If Trent is the answer I really despair for our future. I’ve never seen such a bad player who looks so disinterested. Take no responsibility for countless errors and permanently being out of position. Think he gets a bye ball cos he’s from the area, knowing him though, the bye ball would be a corner which he wouldn’t defend.

I’m sick of watching him. The team is so bad with him in it. A blind man can see this. "

For me fans like you and those who call players of the club they apparently 'support' deadwood are trolls. You can mask it up as being a realist or having an opinion. Honestly I feel sad for you but heyho you carry on being a realist mate.

{Ed001's Note - he is a troll. An embarrassingly bad troll at that.}

"This is pretty bad at the moment. Like Roy Hodgson territory. What was likeable from Klopps teams is clearly not there anymore. Something stinks at the moment. Could anyone shed a light on what is going on at the club. It’s pretty bad when our squad is so bad we have to keep playing Trent even know he is clearly one of the worst defenders of all time. Joe Gomez? Matip? I know we have injuries, but our squad is atrocious these days. He can’t even make a sub today because our bench is so bad".

Monty, another of your pearl of wisdom is above. You must be the 1st Liverpool 'supporter' who thinks Trent is clearly one of the worst defenders of all time.

Looking forward to hearing more realist opinions from you mate.
