Ed2 a question if I may. How highly regarded is Mount at Chelsea these days? Is this just negotiation posturing or are they really willing to let him go?

As a Chelsea boy through the ranks with a fair bit of quality, it would surprise me if he left but very interested in your view.

{Ed002's Note - Mason Mount (AM) Yet to agree a new contract and could depart if he is not more reasonable in his demands - and his demands are very significant. Real Madrid and Juventus, both via a third party, have asked after him. Juventus won't match his wage demands but they have a tax advantage, but I suspect they can be discounted unless a trade for Vlahovic, possibly including another player, could be arranged. Real Madrid are looking to move on a couple of high earners in the summer so could afford him. Barcelona have made a direct approach to Chelsea but the salary demands would be an issue. There is no interest from PSG or Bayern Munich who are two other clubs who could afford him. Chelsea are rather miffed with him after making what they consider was a very good offer, and will sell in the summer if a new contract is not agreed. Manchester United or Liverpool may be intererested as an alternative to Bellingham but they would likely not want to match his wage demands and have not at this time spoken with Chelsea. Howvere, change of agent leads potentially to the door of Manchester United.}

Celta Vigo Gabriel vega. Hearing lots of clubs interested in him. I don't think he's on loan from somewhere.

What’s your opinion of Mount as a player Ed002? Bit of a strange season for him but for me still a very good player and would enhance Liverpool’s midfield no end.

Kind of the whole game in a nutshell at the moment. Mount is a 'good' player but demanding those sorts of sums is a joke. Did anyone see the paul merson clip where he was saying being a professional footballer was harder than being a brain surgeon?! Total idiot.
