GIC aren't going to buy LFC. I know quite a few of the GIC lot (i even interviewed there myself for a role in their london office) and this really doesn't fit their investment profile.

Everyone is speculating at this point. In my opinion nobody knows what's going on even the Echo reporters who claim they heard from inside sources. I call bs on it all.

Liverpool are a private company so there for the only thing that has to be made public is when the proffered bidder or sale goes through.

Broughton wasn't there to buy LFC or as part of any consortium to buy LFC. it was part of a pre-planned event for his newly released book "Whenever I Hear That Song". Other than him, Will Ferrell and Nike were at the game. nothing to do with buying LFC. Fans are so desperate to have LFC sold from FSG that they're jumping on nonsense rumours. There has been no interest shown in LFC at the prices floated by newspapers. As Broughton has expressed after speaking with Tom Werner, FSG have no real plan or end game in mind other than "testing the water".
