Discuss. Will Harry Wilson be a LFC 1st team squad player next season?

I'd like to see him make the step up more than any other player, he could be our little Welsh coutinho! He's the same height as Couts, can play midfield or out wide, and can whack in a free kick too.

There is a lot of competition in the squad at the moment but surely he's good enough to take the spot being taken up by the likes of Lallana and Origi? Perhaps he'd even step in front of Gini and Milner once Kieta and Fabinho step up and become first team regulars.

Too early to say, but I would wait for the end of the season and evaluate his performance throughout a complete season. I see him as a potential to play the position Lallana plays, if Lalana moves on. Not at all for Wijnaldum or Milner. There's been already too much of taking a player and his known skill set and sticking him into positions where the skill set is insufficient or not suitable.

If he continues to excel then he must get a chance. His overall play is really good, if he wasn't on loan from us you can bet he'd be in line for a transfer to the prem. He just needs to keep his head down and keep it up.

If he can't make it I don't know who can, attack wise. The lad is pure class.

With you there, George T. I have been hearing about this kid for the past few years and at some point, we are going to have to find out what he has got, just like we did with Gomez and TAA. Does Klopp trust him, tho? Does he think he is ready to make the big jump? I hope so cos he is way too talented for us to just let him go.

I hope so.

Might take Lallana's place in the squad if he doesn't find his form. I'm not sure what his introduction would have to do with Gini, Milner, Keita or Fabinho? completely different positions. I wouldn't even consider Origi a current squad player.

Wilson is someone I have been a fan of since he came on to the scene at 16.
However, I have seen him get very few Liverpool outings compared to others such as Ejaria, Woodburn, even Kent. I believe the same is true even for pre season games. I know a part of it could be because he is out on loan often, but I fear that Klopp doesn’t like him as much as we spectators do. Not sure if that has to do with attitude, work rate or skill.
That said, I really do hope that he will shine, and hopefully that is for us. He is a similar story as Suso imho, and I would hate for another one to slip away. Fully agree with other posters that he could easily replace Lallana (my Grandmother could too, to be fair)

{Ed002's Note - Wilson is on loan at Derby - hence he is not playing for Liverpool. Options for the younger players will be even more limited now the club is looking to buy the league.}

I think you mean compete Ed002.

{Ed002's Note - No, the owners are looking to buy the league. That has been made very clear.}

Not really though are we, just financially keeping up with the other clubs.

{Ed002's Note - No, Liverpool are borrowing to spend more and more to try to win the league.}

Correct me if im wrong but, isn't that what Manchester City have done/ are doing?

{Ed002's Note - Right, and they have done it.}

So are we financially competing in that case or are LFC under irresponsible owners?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has a growing debt, that has been dealt with before. The owners are more than keen to win the league. Klopp cam with the promise to do so without spending money. He was not good to his word but they owners have been throwing money at the club in a desperate attempt at getting success. Practically there has to be an end to this.}
