Anyone interested in Coutinho right now Eds? With his superb individual performances this season I wouldn't be a surprise to see teams better than us in the CL chasing him. I am worried they could easily turn his head, If he had the players of his quality around him he could achieve totals worthy of some of the all time greats really. If a team comes in for him I would doubt our ability to convince him this is the right place.

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

What a player AOC was becoming. Will be hard for him to come back from his injury, football can be very cruel.

1.) 02 Jan 2019 14:44:13
Posted the exact video here a few days back and was thinking the same.

2.) 02 Jan 2019 16:15:28
Ox is one hell of a player and got a lot to offer to the team hard to say if we have missed him this season as we are doing so well. His direct pace at players from midfield is something to be admired. He is important to us and will offer a lot when coming back into the team either as a starter or impact sub a but like shaqiri has done. Hope for a speedy recovery for the lad and he comes back fresh and raring to go.

3.) 02 Jan 2019 19:55:01
I will take him over Fekir or Pulisic ALL day long cos he is the exact player we are missing right now. Not Pulisic and definitely not Fekir, IMO.

4.) 02 Jan 2019 20:02:49
I love the ox so much I base my life around the letters “ox”. I now live in oxford, I only use oxo cubes for gravy, I have decided to breath oxygen mainly, I’m dressed head to foot in oxfam clothing and now own an actual ox.

{Ed025's Note - what a load of boll.. :)

16 Dec 2018 19:13:58
We are definitely missing the brain buvac right.

{Ed0333's Note - who?

1.) 16 Dec 2018 19:20:18
Yes. Top of the league and unbeaten. How have we managed to cope without him for so long!

2.) 16 Dec 2018 20:07:02
I have no idea, Lamborini. His synchophants kept telling us that The Brain (less) was the guy behind our "success" (whatever the heck that means) when we played a system that won us NOTHING in his tenure and how Klopp made us "weaker" (yeah, like top of the PL, undefeated and in the CL KO stages-weaker) by sending him packing.

If us being "weaker" means we are top of the PL, undefeated and thru to the CL KO stages, then may the Brain (less) never set foot at Anfield ever again.

{Ed0333's Note - I hope they hug it out and settle their differences mate to be honest. Nothing good ever comes from Bad blood

3.) 17 Dec 2018 00:54:37
Agree with Ed here. Just because the team is doing well without Buvac doesn't mean he wasnt an influence during his tenure. Why insult the man, brover? We may not have won anything while he was assistant but we haven't won anything since he left either. Give an ex-employee a little respect.

{Ed0333's Note - In my opinion we owe a debt of gratitude to Buvac. Yes we’re evolving in our play and yes he’s no longer an employee of our club but our current success is partly due to his methods. The bedrock was laid down by him and the other coaches so let’s give credit where credits due. I mean to walk out on a team you helped build on the eve of the European cup final on a point of principle takes some cajunas. He’ll always have my respect and if I ever have the fortune to meet him I’ll be giving him a heart handshake and a Klopp cuddle wether he likes it or not.

4.) 17 Dec 2018 08:21:52
That's really uncalled for and way over the top Brover. Klopp and Buvac had been together for over 17 years and they did have some successes along the way. I don't hear anyone complaining about the way we were playing last year (of which Buvac was a large part) . Klopp simply decided to change tact and Buvac decided not to be part of it. Ferguson changed his assistants regularly. Mourinho does it regularly. Guardiola does too. A lot of other managers do it. It's football. It happens.

{Ed001's Note - Mourinho does not do it regularly. Nor does Pep. Not their number 2 anyway. Coaches come and go, but they both tried to stick with the same right hand man when they could.}

5.) 17 Dec 2018 19:25:22
Ed and ArAy, don't get me wrong. I have no vindictive bone in my body and I'm sure both guys wold kiss and make up pretty soon. The reason My post was directed to the synchophants. I have had it up to my eyeballs with these people spouting abject nonsense about how Buvac should have stayed or how Klopp should have listened to him cos Klopp chose a diff. way of playing, one which tho not perfect, was generating results.

It was the same with Sahko. Klopp showed him the door cos he was a right bellend BUT cos we were not good defensively, fans jumped on Klopp's back, saying he is ruining the team cos he's too stubborn or too vindictive for not welcoming Sahko back. It is this type of nonsense that does my head in. Fans who can't think any further than the tip of their noses. I can guarantee that they did not say this cos they cared about Buvac really. IMO, they just used it as a stick to beat Kloppo which, which is cowardly, really.

All in all, Buvac does deserve credit for where we are right now and I wish him all the best in anything he undertakes. I just feel his new-found fanboys would stop putting him on a pedestal that even he himself, would never accept as he is a true, humble gentleman.

{Ed0333's Note - I hear ya mate and respect and appreciate your sentiments. For me grudges and feuds are petty as there’s far more important things in life than ego like health and humanity. It’s a shame Buvac and Klopp have a soured relationship as they’ve clearly experienced some joyous and wondrous times together and supported each other through the doldrums. I’m not sure anyone can say Buvac’ departure has had a negative effect on us as were top of the league and through to the last 16 of the European Cup (I’m old school still have a hard time calling it it’s new name). Maybe we needed a fresh perspective to become the force we are today?

New image uploaded to the
Liverpool Player Sightings page entitled, Super Alisson

1.) 12 Dec 2018 10:20:44
Brilliant! Although surely it should be pink or purple, lol.

2.) 12 Dec 2018 10:36:30
Andy Dunn has his ratings on the mirror and he gave Gini a 6. Milly a 6. Virg a 7. and if that wasn't bad enough Allsion the beautiful Brazilian only got a 6. My good god some people are idiots.

{Ed001's Note - yes, those people reading a tabloid..... ;-)

3.) 12 Dec 2018 10:48:47
Thought wijnaldum was excellent last night, just wish he was more composed in front of goal
Firmino is possibly my favourite player and I've seen him get decent ratings but I thought he was quite poor last night.
How good is Allison? Can't wait to see him up against De Gea on Sunday, really think we're going to thump them.

4.) 12 Dec 2018 10:50:06
I deserve that.

{Ed001's Note - sorry mate couldn't resist.}

5.) 12 Dec 2018 13:08:22
LOL, brilliant 🤣.

6.) 12 Dec 2018 13:41:33
Hahahaha, love it. Lol this is why I never read the sh*te they publish.

7.) 12 Dec 2018 18:16:28
Ah Jaysus, what sort of drugs is Dunn on?

I want some, they must be good.

14 Jan 2018 21:18:47
What did you make of robertson tonight ed001?

{Ed001's Note - had a good game, but then his main problem has been his decision making in attack for us and he never had to do any of that last night. He is obviously not used to playing for a team dominating possession and attacking constantly, this was him in his comfort zone able to play the game he is used to. In time he will, hopefully anyway, get the hang of when and where to cross in attack.}

1.) 15 Jan 2018 04:33:58
Ed please do the match report🙏🙏🙏🙏.

{Ed001's Note - I will do as soon as I have done the match preview for tonight's Prem game.}

2.) 15 Jan 2018 05:03:15
I thought he had a cracker, I agree his attacking abilities could be better but frankly I’d rather we had the defence nailed down first as if we’re going to go up against the best we need a solid defence more than we need goals.

His first game for Liverpool he showed he can cross the ball with whip and pace so hopefully that piece will fall into place too.

{Ed001's Note - to be honest, I would rather our fullback played as he did tonight. For me that is how a fullback should play. None of this charging up the pitch as soon as we get the ball malarkey. They should be defenders first and foremost, leave the attacking to the attackers and support them, rather than being the focal point.

The only time you should ever look to fullbacks to be key attackers is when you play against ten men and need the width to stretch the play or a Sam Allardyce defensive line playing so deep it is like they have 5 keepers and 5 defenders.}

3.) 15 Jan 2018 05:42:51
Agree 100%.

4.) 15 Jan 2018 05:49:59
So basically we play Moreno and TAA against the bus parkers like Everton, Man Utd, West Brom etc and use Robertson and Gomez against the teams that actually have a go at us. So many rotational options even at full back for Klopp to use, and we did not even break the bank for them!

5.) 15 Jan 2018 05:52:35
Him pressing the City goal keeper and defenders though. One of the best moments of the match.

I would have him ahead of Moreno everytime. With klopp at the helm he could learn the attacking side of things too.

6.) 15 Jan 2018 07:39:56
Pak, I was telling myself at that time that, "Oh, Robbo is on the loose. Someone pls, rope him in. He's off the deep end". Lol. Seriously like you, that was the part of the game that made my most proud.

7.) 15 Jan 2018 08:26:31
Ed1 on the money again. Robbo defending first attacking second propsr full back play. Well done lad.

What about the biggest villain of my childhood, Federico Macheda.

1.) 07 Nov 2017 13:38:32
You mean Ronaldo Mk2?

2.) 07 Nov 2017 14:35:17
how old (I mean young) must you be to have him as a villain of your youth. God i must be old at 38.

3.) 07 Nov 2017 14:55:37
I know mikey, making me feel ancient now.

4.) 07 Nov 2017 17:25:45
I am 21 and have read this site since I was 12. Back when it was just football-rumours. Federico Macheda ruined my life, martin tylers voice crack still haunts me.

5.) 07 Nov 2017 18:04:15
I'm 24 in January, beef. If it makes you feel better it get's easier to block out Martin Tyler as you get older. Your hearing starts going over the next few years (and your hair) .

He goes so high pitched that the frequency of his voice is close to 20KHz. As you age, you hearing upper range falls to about 18Khz and his voice is inaudible to your old git ear drums 😁.

They should be well aware of the work permit rules. How about this, if they need a special exemption for a work permit, target someone else? If they are not a player who is going to add something to the first team, why bother spending hundreds of thousands of pounds on them.

Too right Ron. Plucking a yoyng man from him comfortable home with no plan on how to benefit us, multiple randon loans all over the place givning him no chance to settle and kick on. Really infuriating that we do this, Anyowini (sp? ) and this Anderson Arroyo next.

Any teams looking at Woodburn?

{Ed0333's Note - it’s amazing how far his star has fallen. From knocking on the first team door to being shunned by Sheffield Wednesday. I wonder what will become of the boy.?

He announced to the whole world that Mignolet AND Moreno would start. Clearly winning the match was not very important to him. He figured he could allow 20mins to salvage it and hopefully play a lesser opponent next round, but the match was not important to Klopp. I myself would very much love to win the FA cup soon but never mind.

Madrid will always be in a beautiful warm weather location, competing for trophies, and paying lots of money. Almost every single player fancies a crack at real if they get the chance.

If gerrard has proven himself by the time klopp leaves then that wpuld be great. However, I do think the club would give him a go no matter what if he wants it. He's clearly not doing a terrible job, Rangers haven't done this well for a long time, I know he has been well backed but he has still had to go and do it. His press conferences are Brendan level though and he clearly thinks himself as some wordsmith.

One game at a time for the lads, but whatever mad hypothetical scenarios that can be dreamt for the fans, it literally doesn't matter. Just know that if you talk a big game it will look silly if we don't seal the deal.

{Ed0333's Note - Mohammad Ali talked a big game didn’t harm him much. I’m so confident well win the Premiership I booked my hotel in Liverpool for the last game of the season and the victory parade weeks ago. So that’s a flight, accommodation etc. I’m talking a big game and I know my team will back it up for me.
