Morning eds1
So now the transfer window is shut (apart from Saudi league) how would you say we have done? I’ve got to admit this has been one of the strangest windows ever for us.

{Ed001's Note - I think it has been a good window. Certainly looks a much better balanced squad now with space to give youngsters games to develop as well.}

Our new no 8 looks a star shackled abit by our system. Unleash him and we may have a superstar.

Everyone was clamoring for a new midfield after last year's performance. Those the club did not want and those who didn't want to stay, left. And the club brought in 4 midfielders it wanted; got the job done.

In time, and I could easily be proved wrong, we will feel we dodged a bullet with Caicedo. He is not 2-3 times the player Gravenberch is.

Now let's see what's on Mr. Salah's mind?

Looks decent on the face of it, though dependant on Endo doing the business.
If he doesn't prove up to the task, that and how the CB situation unfolds as the season progresses, might cast a different light on the transfer window.
But, considering the unplanned for departures to Saudi, we've probably done two windows worth of midfield business in less than one, considering the timing.
Not surprising that the temporary German SD has largely gone with what he's most familiar with, but it looks reasonable value-wise for Liverpool.

Solid window that. Revitalised the midfield for now and the future. Attack depth hasn’t been compromised. Just the defense that needs to be addressed but I can understand lack of signings given we haven’t moved others on.

I’d give it the window a 7.5/ 10. It’d be higher if we had made some moves in defense.

I think it was a fantastic window. We kept our front 5 from Saudi (hopefully Salah stays), we refreshed the midfield with good players, and we have space for the youngsters to get game time and develop (especially Doak, Curtis, Harvey and Quansah) .

I would have been happier if we bought in one good home grown player, a more “premium” defensive midfielder instead of Endo (though I hope he makes me eat humble pie), and an up and coming left footed centre back like Van De Ven. But that is just me being greedy. Really excited for the season, and I honestly feel that we strengthened better than the top 6 teams with the exception of Arsenal.

Those who wanted fresh mid’s, a younger squad and experience like me, got exactly what they wanted and it’s been a solid window for me. You cannot fill all your needs in one window so not arsed about that.

So we move on and use the academy products to pad the squad. Injuries permitting, we could be in for a good season, if not a very good season.
