Allison in peak years

Trent, Konate entering peak years with a potential young star on the way to learn from VVD for the next few years

Jones, Elliot, Bajcetic young and bags of potential imo, especially Bajcetic.
Mac Allister at 25 is entering peak, bring in Thuram and Kone and we can take the moon.

Nunez, Diaz, Gakpo young with bags of potential, all will now have had time to adapt to England - let's hope for an injury free season for them all.
Jota back in form and Salah is just Salah.

Add Doak, Gordon, Ramsey etc into the fold and we've got a lot of young homegrown talent coming through.

My only hope is we keep hold of Kelleher and loan him out for a few seasons.

Optimistic take but I'm excited for the next few seasons.

We are defs getting top 4 next year. United, Chelsea are shocking and Newcastle will struggle a little more next year with European football.

We don't compete for title again realistically, we'll get massively outspent by 2 or 3 teams yearly, and it would take something really special to beat them.

OP, it was not FSG who "rubbishd" anything last season, IMO. You have Klopp to blame for that. He screwed up and gambled one time too many on trusting the same players and they hung him out to dry, sadly for him. His cross to bear.

@DeanW So you think it did not take something special to take all the trophies off City that we did while they were massively outspending us? Chelsea and Utd were outspending us by a lot as well during those times and we finished comfortably well ahead of them and neither is yet to win as much as we have since.

WIll we challenge for the title? I hope so but I don't know that and we haven't even gotten the players we need yet nor do we know what the squad will look like for the coming season so let's see what happens.

Personally I watch football to be entertained, not to count trophies. Each to their own, but I think some of you guys are missing out. We have a very entertaining team, with a really decent chance of winning something every season. What’s not to like?

Maybe klopp will go down the Arsenal route and use some of the younger players to build again?

I prefer that to be honest, even if it takes 2-3 years.

Spot on, Jay Dub. Arsenal are the equivalent of LFC 13/ 14 under BR and even we had a better chance of winning the title that year than Arsenal did this year. I have no idea why people are giving them way more credit than we got for winning nothing whereas we were in the same position. In fact, we got mocked for it via the whole "Slippy G" rubbish.

They had better be careful not to fall into this same false sense of entitlement next season like we did in 14/ 15 cos I do not understand what they see in Havertz, let alone wanting to pay 70m for him. Strange one, really.
