Klopp said yesterday was a step in the right direction.

Not sure I saw that to be honest.

If not for some appalling chelsea finishing we would have been summarily pumped again. Give arsenal those chances and Sunday will be embarrassing.

I thought they were all over the place last night. Defensively it was a shambles with headless chickens running all over the shop. People going on a press by themselves and leaving gaps here there and everywhere.

I know there were a lot of changes but it looked like 11 players who met for the first time on the bus.

I’m normally the optimist but last night was slightly concerning.

The pressing was so dis-jointed. Either one went and others didn’t do their part and press their men, or 2 or 3 went to the same man at once.

If our style is going to continue to be pressing this has to be right.

On the ball just as worrying as it’s proper hot potato stuff. We used to cut through teams with quick passes from back to front facilitated by a good shape.

That is not us currently.

When we weren’t doing that we were hitting long diagonals from front to back. They’ve also disappeared.

Bizarre that all of the good stuff we used to do has pretty much disappeared.

He also said this was the best 0-0 he has seen in a while @Wasaa. No idea if it was meant to be a sarcasm or he actually meant it ??.

As bad as the defence was for me you have to ask questions of that midfield, it was if they weren’t there. Chelsea could just attack our back line at will. I thought the point of a DM was to protect the back line? Fabinho was nowhere to be seen.

I wasn't confident when I saw the team and they were as bad as I feared. 0-0 flattered us.
I've been on the fence for a while but we definitely need another centre half. I don't trust either of them two from last night.

We're fortunate that Chelsea are as bad as us at the moment. They do have an excuse though.

When you make so many changes you don't expect 11 players playing well.

Only positives for me. Allison continues to be great. Konate is a proving to be a good signing. Gomez looked after RB well, I think Trent may of struggled. Jones looked more comfortable in midfield than Elliot.

But all that said it was just one game.

Liverpool have now conceded 83 big chances in the league this season.

However Alisson Becker is still only two clean sheets away from leading the Golden Glove.

Where would we be without Ali.

The only step in the right direction we can make is to go back to the high energy press and drop Linders awful style of play in the bin. People saying the players can’t do it anymore is hot nonsense. The tactics are wrong for the players we have. There was a moment against City on Saturday that summed it up for me. City had the ball at the back, I think it was Stones just standing there with the ball at his feet. and I think at least 3 LFC players, maybe 4, were within 5 metres of him. Not one of them moved towards him to close him down. A few years ago he’d of been swarmed before I’d of even realised the situation was occurring.
