Looking at some rumors of mount to LFC. Love to hear your summary of the player and how/ where he’d fit in on our team?

Fits in nicely as far as I’m concerned as a first choice midfield starter. Good signing if we can pull it off.

I would prefer Bellingham and a mobile defensive midfielder to come in. That would add more balance to our midfield. With Mount, although he is a good player I just feel he is not a necessity due to having similar profile players. Plus we ain’t exactly flush with cash. The main player we need to do everything to get is Bellingham. I know the deal could go either way but I’m quietly confident we will win out, provided we stump up the cash.

Watched his documentary that showed his career up until the point he got his move to Dortmund and heavily featured his family, family friends and coaches that have known him since he was 8 years old and are close to the family. The common theme throughout the documentary from everyone closely associated to the family is how both Jude and his parents are meticulous when it comes to mapping out his career and emphasised the point that money is 100% not a driving factor, with the move to Dortmund over United as an example.

If reports are to be believed that he has told family, friends and even other players he wants Liverpool and his parents who manage his affairs want Liverpool, that is huge. Again, anything can happen in football but if Klopp has been chasing him for a while and is our main target then it hinges on us stumping up the cash required for the transfer fee. If we do that then I believe he is ours. If we don’t he will most likely end up at Madrid.

Mount is just another son-in-law for Jurgen.

The most Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain signing we could make. I guess there’ll be an opening at LFCTV when Ox moves on.

I like Mount seems to play between the lines and gets himself into some great goal scoring positions.

Seems to have lost his way slightly this season but it happens a lot to these young players. Maybe a new challenge is what he needs.

Seriously though, Potter is supposed be a top coach. Why is Mount not working out there?

Fly I think the difference is Mount is actually a specialised centre midfielder. Where as Ox was a player that seemed to get shoe horned into positions where he was a master of none.

Mount had 11 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League Last season, regardless of any thoughts on the player that’s a commendable return mate.

JK - assuming we want and sign Jude, where will Mount play? He couldn’t play in a 2 as he’s not very good defensively. And presumably Jude will be best used to be the most progressive of a 3, if we continue with a 3.

Or maybe you are suggesting he’s an alternative to Jude?

I’ll also challenge your point that Mount is a specialist midfielder. Like Ox did at Arsenal and with us, he gets punted around with no fixed position. Under Tuchel he was mostly used as a left-sided forward.

Potter, who loves his technical midfielders hasn’t found too much use for him so far.

Fly I don’t see Jude and Mount in the same team.

With regards to the Ox and Mount no offence to Ox but I’d have Mount in ahead of him 100 times out of 100.

V good player but I don't think he what we need. We have elliott, carvahlo and Jones who all seem to played as 'half' midfielder 'half' wide player. A genuine midfielder and a midfielder who can play as a 6 is what we need imo.

Whether we sign Jude or not we definitely need more HG/ english players. Mount is versatile and with a contract running out. Young and yet to peak age for a CM. Makes sense if he wants to leave London.
