I am not expert but I hear pundits going on abt nunez being the problem with Sarah's form while it could be a factor I don't think it's the only one.

Klopp has started to play trent in a different attacking position later last season and all of this season where he plays a more central role when on attack, so not only do you have nunez making runs into the channels you also have trent pushing in there too.

So now we have nunez pull 1 possible 2 players into the space where salah attacks and get.

You mean after splashing €90 mill on a player our world class coaches realizes He has now become a problem. Speechless.

Bert, Salah has played 693 minutes this season and Nunez 235.

I think if Salah was looking great when Nunez wasn’t playing and then off the boil when he was then the evidence would be there but for me there’s been no evidence whatsoever as Mo hasn’t been his world class self with or without Nunez all season.

And we could even say that after the Afcon last season Mo wasn’t playing at the same standards he usually sets and Nunez was at Benfica.

MO has been out of sorts since AFCON nothing to do anything with Nunez. It's always dangerous to give lifetime wages to players who're in their 30s

We just have to hope he comes good if not then klopp will have to make some big changes to our formation.

Ozil/ Aubameyang 2.0. Remember we used to laugh at Arsenal giving them massive wages?

Salah is still busting a gut Mane Mane, not firing but still trying. Its crazy,2 in 7 would be perfectly acceptable to any other wide forward in the league. Mo is 1 player in a whole TEAM which is struggling, do people expect him to hit his usual figures in a team which is performing so much below their usual standard. He's just the easy target because he got a well deserved raise this summer. Did Virg not get a rise a while back? is older than Salah and is playing far worse, yet no one mentions money with him?.

Maybe we should drop salah play nunez wide left jota down the middle and diaz on the right.
I say this because nunez likes to drift left, mo is off form and it would be something our opposition is not used to .

There could be many reasons, but Nunez is the least plausible. Could be tactical changes, could be exhaustion since Afcon, could be complacency after getting the new contract. It could even be Salah is missing Mané; their linking up in front was telepathic for so many years. Or maybe it's all of them at the same time. ?.

I think the biggest problem is that they don't seem to know how to play as a team anymore. I get it that personnel have changed due to injuries but the free flowing passing and movement isn't there. Also the ability to pass to one of our own players is very poor. Lack of confidence? You look at training and they constantly practise quick, one pass triangles and rondos. Hopefully Thiago can help settle things down and Matip back will help VVD.

I would wonder if it’s more a communication issue, Also with Harvey E, back this season, generally speaking, we are trying to gel 3/ 4 players into the team.

Injuries and suspension would hinder that, but they will learn faster through the shall we say dark time we are having.

Or maybe just play Salah and Diaz with whoever deserves the spot in the middle.

The whole right hand side triangle looks wrong to me.
Last season it was Trent, Hendo and Salah and it worked.
This year Harvey has come in and it’s messed up the dynamic a bit.
Harvey for all his plus points doesn’t track back or do the hard yards Hendo does. Plus I think his inclusion pushes Salah out wide.
So I’m not surprised to see Trent and Salah losing form because they don’t have the support in Hendo anymore.
I don’t want to sound like im dissing the kid because he’s a superstar in the making and he’s brilliant to watch but I also don’t think him playing in that position is bringing out the best in Trent or Salah.
I don’t think it’s the only issue though, injuries are obviously the main thing, VVDs and Fabinhos loss of form is another, reinventing the attack with Nunez is another.

And yet at the start of last season when we were WINNING, Everyone was delighted at the beautiful football being played by the triangle of Trent, Salah and Elliott! all our midfielders have different qualities. Concerning Hendo its like the old saying goes"a player is never as good as when he's not available".

Elliot only played 2 and a half games at right mid last season before getting his injury and we drew one of them.
