yup fair summary ed. his overall game isn't good enough for him to even be considered a place on the bus. it's a real shame because he has so much natural ability.

{Ed001's Note - it is a shame, especially as it is his own fault.}

Can klopp get him to work is the real question.
I think he can work for liverpool save us a lot of money but question is he willing to improve his overall game.
We won't know if he isn't given a chance.
Same goes for grujic. We could keep him he could start first 5 games to ease hendo in but he has to grab his spot in 5 games.
Its unfair and ideally id want both of them to get game time and see what they offer but at this point in time when we are champions it does not make football or business sense to keep either.
We should sell and wish them luck.

{Ed001's Note - sorry but you seem to have missed the bit where his attitude in training has been questioned by the staff at Liverpool. He gets farmed out on loan because he is not doing enough in training to earn a shot. We already know he is not trying and not prepared to put the effort in.}

Brilliant read, Ed01. You and many others have been giving this exact s=assessment of Wilson for a while before. I confess that I have never seen Wilson play until I saw him play vs Lyon in preseason last summer and oh my days, it was glaring.

I watched him closely and I kid you not, I did not know Wilson was playing until he had the ball (which was rare) and when he scored a blinder> Apart from these, Wilson was anonymous all the time he was on the pitch.

I then said, "Ok, it is preseason and not much can be gained from preseason games", right? So I then decided to watch Wilson all last season and well, nothing changed. The kid is not good enuff and the worst thing, he seems none too fussed nor arsed to put a shift in for the team.

{Ed001's Note - it was embarrassing watching him for Bournemouth last season. If you can't even get in a side like that, with a manager who loves fancy dan attackers, then you are in trouble. He just spends games flitting around the periphery doing as little as possible.}

For such a young player there's not much more to say eh ed01? I remember that spectacular free kick against utd in the cup a couple of years ago, and he did the 5 times sign and I remember thinking "we could have a player here" and he has scored some nice goals. But even in a YouTube reel you won't see him make an important tackle. He's not huge, but he's not lightweight either. I think he'll grow up and realise that talent alone is not enough. If he does that and starts to work extra hard he could be a top top player, coz as Ed said, his technique really is top notch.

Of our recent youngsters the one that puzzles me the most is solanke. I'm convinced he's a better player than he's shown with Bournemouth. I think he's got the tools to be a top player. I dunno if you've done a dom solanke profile Ed but it'd be interesting to hear your view.

And thanks for the Wilson profile, if this football thing dries up he can always find work as a Fernando torres lookalike.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know if there is a previous Solanke one, but it would be well out of date now anyway, so I have added him to the list for a new one.}

Hope he sorts it out before he becomes another ravel morrison.

{Ed001's Note - normally the only way for someone to do a complete about-face and change their life is for them to hit what they feel is rock bottom. They need to lose everything to wake up and realise they need to change, most of the time. If he ends up dropping out of the league altogether, it would be a shock to the system and he would either give up altogether on the game or he would turn it all around. Unfortunately, what usually happens is they get chance after chance and never get that wake up call they need.}

Another one who in the past we would have had to rely on but thankfully we’ve progressed further than players like that.

I just don’t get why some don’t work hard enough or harder. However much they may think they don’t need to or it goes to their head, you would have thought that not being in the team would be the necessary kick up the backside they would need.

{Ed001's Note - if you are told often enough how great you are, you begin to believe it. When things go wrong you then fail to see faults within yourself, because you are great, everyone said so. Instead you blame others and so never learn a lesson.}

But surely Ed if you realise your days are becoming numbered at your boyhood club, where you've been since you were a baby and you knew the reason was not your talent but your lack of work rate you would kop on and get the finger out. can't understand how he doesn't understand that if even Jurgen can't get the desired effort from him no one will. and his career will only head in one direction.

{Ed001's Note - if you knew that, yes. But you are not taking in what I am saying, he has been told he is great so much he believes it and does not believe he needs to work hard any more because he is so great.}

I think getting an international cap at 16 years old ruined his career.

Kids shouldn't be gifted everything. Klopp could've given enough appearances to half of our u21's to get them a Prem medal with how many dead rubbers we had. He didn't though because you should earn what you get.

Wilson is a match of the day highlight player, looks good scoring a free kick. But I watched him in a few games for Bournemouth, when he was picked and he always disappointed for all the reasons already discussed. I actually rate Curtis who is younger and less experienced about 2.5 times a better player than him. let's not even get onto Brewster who showed he has it all with Cardiff. But more interestingly he did it off the back of pure hard work to come back from a serious knee injury.

Out of interest is anyone interested in taking him off our hands or has his performances at Bournemouth damaged his chances of a move?

Ok Ed, just fail to comprehend how he can have that high an opinion of himself. Its not as if he was a Rooney, Owen or Wilshere level talent coming through.

{Ed001's Note - at 15 he was at least as good.}

Have none of the lfc staff told him recently that he needs to pull his finger out ed, or are the loans ment to be suttle hint at doing it himself?

{Ed001's Note - he has been told many times, I mentioned in the profile that he had been told.}

Shame, because there's a cracking little finisher there. And his left leg is up there with anyone's. a wand.
