First time poster. Great site. I wondered do you feel we have enough squad depth for the season ahead, without any new faces. I'm aware the first 11 is fairly set but non major signing wise ( as we'd have to sell for a major signing) do you feel we have enough.

We need a RB, GK and LW imo

Mignolet is not even good enough to be a cup keeper
Gomez is our 2nd best CB and wasted as a backup RB
Origi is not a LW and Chamberlain doesn't fancy playing on the wings only centrally. Lallana is just someone you can't count on.

{Ed0333's Note - I’d say we need a decent back up keeper for sure. I would love Heaton but don’t think that will happen and someone rapid to cover the flanks/middle.

Its a question that i think can only be answered under different circumstances with no definitive answer. Is our squad strong enough to compete just in the league and CL if non of our major players (Alison, VVD, Mo, Bobby and Mane) pick up major injuries and play 90-95% of the games. Under those circumstances then yes as we proved it last season. Could our squad players compete for the other 2 cups? for me all depends on the luck of the draw. Last season we drew Chelsea and Wolves. If we get lesser opposition then maybe yes. Can the team compete if we suffered major injury to one of the key players? For me it all depends who. I think if we lost Allison - no chance, VVD - wouldn't challenge for title, Mane, Mo or Bobby would be a big big loss but if it was only the 1 then other 2 and squad players would need to majorly step up. Imagine again worst case we lost 2 or more of the key players for a substantial amount of time. The only answer that i believe is that only time will tell and come May we will have the answer.
