A Liverpool fan site has urged the Reds to sell Egypt striker Mohamed Salah, 27, in order to fund the purchase of 20-year-old France forward Kylian Mbappe from Paris St-Germain, Borussia Dortmund's Sancho or Germany midfielder Kai Havertz, 20, of Bayer Leverkusen. (Mirro

Anyhth8ng similar been on here?

1.) 03 Sep 2019 12:40:10
Why will we sell a better player to buy lesser unfinished players who will likely demand higher wages?

2.) 03 Sep 2019 13:56:35
Just fan's who player a little too much fifa/ football manager, wouldn't pay it any notice.

Though the 'mbappe fund' lines always crack me up.

3.) 03 Sep 2019 14:00:17
Because Salah is greedy and doesn't pass.

Well apart from the 31 assist he has for us in 2 seasons and 6 games, which is more than the legendarily unselfish Firmino in the same period.

But I'm sure they're the only 31 passes he's made as a Liverpool player. It's ruining the dressing room harmony because Ian Wrong (see what I did there? ) said so.

4.) 03 Sep 2019 14:23:55
What does legendarily unselfish even mean mate? Bobby is clearly much less selfish than either Mo or Sadio. More assists doesn't mean he is less selfish. Even the assist he got yesterday against Burnley, he clearly didn't mean to give it to Bobby.
No need to put Bobby down to make Mo look better.
Apologies if you i misunderstood your post.

5.) 03 Sep 2019 16:42:43
Yes, you did misunderstand my post truered. I wasn't trying to put Bobby down at all.

I was just making the point Salah, who is characterised as selfish and greedy, has more assists than Bobby who (rightly) is not considered selfish or greedy by anybody. Maybe, just maybe, Salah is not quite as selfish and single minded in the pursuit of goals as is generally suggested?

And please don't try and tell me that the majority of his assists were accidental. That's just silly.

6.) 03 Sep 2019 17:59:41
Same thing with the Salah "diving". Yes, he's done it a couple of times, but it is nowhere as big a deal as it is made out to be. There is no consistency to it, unlike a certain captain in London or Manchester.

7.) 03 Sep 2019 18:21:26
Apologies for the misunderstanding Something Red. But i've never said or suggested majority of Mo's assists were accidental. My point was merely to show that Mo would rather score himself than look for a pass.
Its pretty obvious that Mo and Mane for that matter do have a selfish streak in them. Being a little selfish is why they get the goals and i have no problem with it.
Cheers.

8.) 04 Sep 2019 10:02:45
Salad is only being greedy of late because Sergio Aguero is banging them in every game. Makes sense. And Salah is listed as a midfielder. He’s not the main forward, Manè is. Hence Manè spitting his dummy at the lack of ball from Salah. I think we should sign Bobby Dazzler from Germany FC.

9.) 05 Sep 2019 00:55:14
Neymar also gets huge number of assists, it's not really a great barometer of selfishness. It's more a case of his decision making he's being judged on, choosing the harder option for the team to score is what he is being guilty of.

Banter - first few names on our team sheet presently!

Very recently it was always top three for me, but it's changed so so much. It's a brilliant place to be as I feel we are really really spoilt with some serious players.

For me at this time:
1 Virg
2 Becker
3 Fabs

They make me feel safe and confident with whomever is front of them. However I feel guilty picking them 3 out (As I say were spoilt)

Had a few bevies so just bit of craic ⚽️🙄✌.

halflot

1.) 19 Jul 2019 21:18:12
For me it's
1. Alisson
2. Trent
3. Virgil

Our worst spell last season was when Trent was injured and we had Milner, Hendo, Camacho, Gomez etc at right back. It's not even defensively that he stands out. It's just that he offers a threat from deep that is unrivalled and I've not seen a player who can create so much without having to beat a man since Pirlo was in his prime. He have a real star in Trent. He's not our best player. Probably not even top 5, but he's so vital to the way we play.

Alisson has to be first though because he's the best keeper in the world and our back up (Migs) has only ever been average. We'd probably go to pieces again without Alisson filling everyone with confidence.

Lastly had to be Virgil because he's just a unit. Felt so guilty not even marching Fabinho, Robbo, Hendo or any of the front 3. Just goes to show how good we are nowadays.

2.) 19 Jul 2019 21:43:08
Alisson, VVD, Hendo.

3.) 19 Jul 2019 21:21:34
Dijk
Allisson
Mane

Top two based on the fact firstly they are quality, but also the option if they are not playing.

4.) 19 Jul 2019 22:38:48
Alisson
Vvd
Robertson.

5.) 19 Jul 2019 22:42:48
Cool ⚽️❤✌.

6.) 19 Jul 2019 23:02:02
Alisson. Virg. Robbo. Without a doubt.

7.) 20 Jul 2019 00:08:16
Ali, VVD, Robbo.

8.) 20 Jul 2019 00:09:28
Virgil alisson salah. I don't understand how salah isn't on everybodies list? Scored nearly 70 goals in 2 seasons!

Also, first 3 names is harsh as players like firmino, henderson, robertson, mane, fabhino, taa are all on my team sheet too.

9.) 20 Jul 2019 00:30:26
VVD, Mane, Allisson.

10.) 20 Jul 2019 08:37:04
'Also, first 3 names is harsh as players like firmino, henderson, robertson, mane, fabhino, taa are all on my team sheet too. '

lol my thoughts exactly.

11.) 20 Jul 2019 10:21:31
Poster salah is cool but player salah is a 🛎end that's why he is off most people's list

Mine is allisson vvd and bobby
Reason is allisson is one of the best keepers in the league irreplaceable
Vvd same reason except CB
Bobby no natural back up and works so hard for the team.

12.) 20 Jul 2019 12:38:21
Alisson, Hendo, Firmino.

13.) 20 Jul 2019 12:45:18
Virgil, Salah and Mane. POTY, last years POTY and double golden boot winner and the guy he shared it with this year.

14.) 20 Jul 2019 12:46:27
Bit harsh Salah, he can be greedy at times but i think he was just trying too hard last year to live up to his incredible debut season.

15.) 20 Jul 2019 14:39:01
First time posting, I’ve been following since the beginning. Allisson, VVD, Fab.

16.) 20 Jul 2019 19:30:03
How is mo a b###end? He comes across as a nice guy to me. An undoubtedly brilliant player.

Its these kind of comments that could push him away. And lfc's front 3 weren't considered the best until he arrived.

You can't really begrudge a 44 goal striker going for goal. Every thing he hit in his first year went in. Scored in the champions league final too. For me he is a legend already and one of the first 3 names on the team sheet. But each to their own.

17.) 20 Jul 2019 22:58:48
Berg469, stop projecting. You may think Salah is a **-end but stiop speajking for others, saying he is off "most people's list" cos you don't speak for "most people" on here. To me, Salah is super important cos his mere presence alone, scares the heck out of opposing defence, not to mention he is a Liverpool legend and arguably the best attacking talent in the PL in the last 2 seasons (44 goals and 26 goals in all comps. respectively) .

05 Jul 2019 22:32:25
Our front three concern me early doors next season. The legs they put in last season and even now they are competing fully! I know many other players are in similar position sort of, but they don't play for us. i know also they are exceptional athletes so let's hope that continues. They do need a nice break though ????.

halflot

1.) 05 Jul 2019 23:17:09
I would sacrifice origi and Sturridge for pepe with bobby firmino, Brewster, bobby duncan our remaining centre forwards, with salah and mane also being able too fill in there lots of options, firpo would be a nice addition he can play whole of left side but it would be in rotation would he want that? We have a month left a lot can happen .

2.) 06 Jul 2019 07:47:37
you think Bobby Duncun is ready for first team squad wow.

3.) 06 Jul 2019 08:42:24
OP, nothing to be concerned about, IMO. Provided they come back from the AFCON and COPA unscathed, they will b fine. At this level, players don't need that much vacation nor preseason to get going esp. our front three who are more than used to the way we play, prepare and train. Also, you can cut back a bit of their training with the rest of the group and work with them individually during the week. Nothing to worry about, my friend. We will be fine.

4.) 06 Jul 2019 11:19:17
As 4th choice striker yes I do think bobby duncan is ready, if brewster is why not bobby duncan, scouser who bangs them in for fun yeah why not, he being linked with moves too other clubs for a reason .

5.) 06 Jul 2019 12:02:18
Have you watched Bobby play? I hope i'm wrong but I will be very surprised if he ever made the first team. Paul Glatzel is a much better prospect and techinically, a better striker.

6.) 06 Jul 2019 16:23:16
I like glatzel too, he looks mobile an sharp both of them bobby duncan an glatzel, at some point we will have too see if they sink or swim we could have the new robbie fowler, or micheal owen on our hands but hopefully not the next nathan eccleston or david Amoo.

Banter - De Ligt. If we were interested and could sign him, yes or No?! Simply thumbs up or down only preferably 👍⚽️✌.

halflot

1.) 08 Jun 2019 17:48:54
He won't be singing for us, banter or not.

2.) 08 Jun 2019 18:19:18
He's not good enough. He's slow and his positioning is poor. He gets away with it at Ajax but wouldn't get away with it in the prem. He's great on the ball and good in the air. He's also dangerous from set pieces. He's just not good enough as a CB. Gomez is the better player of the two.

3.) 08 Jun 2019 19:09:59
Is Virgil leaving already?

4.) 08 Jun 2019 22:23:52
One word: Gomez.

5.) 09 Jun 2019 09:40:08
Maxlfc- how do you know he has such a bad voice? 🤔.

6.) 09 Jun 2019 11:27:55
Gomez all the way.

7.) 09 Jun 2019 13:53:12
Gomez is the real deal and proven in the PL. De Ligt is superbly overrated, over=priced and is being carried by VVD for Holland who frankly, can make Bjorn-Tore Krwarme look good. Gomez all day long, for me.

8.) 10 Jun 2019 03:34:02
De ligt is currently over rated no doubt. The guy is only 19 though and people are expecting far too much of him, for his age many are doing well with a handful of games in the bag. He captains the best side in his country and is international 1st team regular. Over 100 games already. For a teenager this is very rare progression. His current standard of performance is over rated due to his age and potential getting people carried away. But not many of the world's best defenders in the past were at a different level to him at 19. I say give the boy time as it's too early to judge him.

His biggest problem right now is that virus of an agent he has, just a teenager with so many great footballing options open to him but he's being exposed to greed around him. Demands of 250-300000 wages already in his career is a shame. The Barcelona move seems a good match for his style of play, similar traits to pique mean he wouldn't get shown up as much in la liga. Barcelona I'd imagine reluctant to play that money. I wonder how much say De ligt actually has in his next move, agents like his would happily sacrifice his career success for better pay day. Hope he doesn't get that kind of wage until he earns it in a few years.

9.) 10 Jun 2019 03:44:06
No coincidence to see juve, psg, Barcelona and United the heavily linked. Raolia does regular business with the same clubs often and will only want what's best for him. His main clients like pogba, mhychatarian, matuidi, zlatan, verrati in this circle of clubs.

I'm sure he has no interest in offering De ligt to Liverpool as he knows we won't pay those kind of wages.

Intentional or not, it's another goal. If he meant it superb, if he never superb still. Does look like a natural goalscorer so fingers x! There does appear to be a belief / vibe I sense.

Was definitely intentional tho, I concur. 🙄⚽️✌.
