Afternoon Ed2, hope you're well? A couple of days ago you mentioned we may be interested in Llorente. Do you think that selling Fabinho may make him a more likely signing or will we likely be looking at others instead?

Also, in your opinion, do you think Henderson will try and force a move?

I’ve always liked the look of Llorente as a player. I’m also more realistic than believing that every player we sign is going to be an £80m+ superstar.

I doubt many have watched Llorente Ed. For Madrid fans, they always tell me he is the one that got away. They think he should have been kept. Excellent player.

Great ed2. Now I’m feeling like an ass posting that I was wary of him coming into such a quick paced league. Should add that I’ve only seen him play a few times. Wasn’t aware that he’s been getting so much hate which is a shame for any potential signing coming in.

Ed002, I was on Twitter the other day, and a Chelsea fan told me that most Chelsea fans have been abusing Azpilicueta since he joined. He said he was embarrassed beyond belief by it. Now Azpi is leaving as a hero who has won everything. Arsenal and Newcastle fans are awful for regularly booing their own. Personally I can't stand fans complaining about their own players, and the hatred against Henderson has been astonishing throughout his entire spell with us.

I love your info and your banter, but I'm just passing on that whilst some of the Liverpool fanbase is toxic, I don't think they're worse than anyone else - including your very own Chelsea.

I doubt that will convince you but worth pointing out.

why worry about llorente?

The way atletico madrid play, I don't want anyone except maybe oblak, who is not needed anymore.

They all play with Diego Simone mentality which is the most anti football team.

Why do we need to replace Fabinho?

It might be a blessing for bajetic? or we might just move away from DM role and go all attack? who knows?

Taking a break from this site for a bit I think. It’s more pointless negative trolling on both sides than anything useful or interesting these days. It’s always been there but now it’s outweighing the positives. I have no desire to be counted amongst people throwing abuse at the Ed’s, nor do I have any desire to be made to feel bad about my choice of sporting support when I have done nothing wrong. Deleting accounts will do nothing Ed’s. People can just rejoin. Inflammatory posts just need to be ignored, not posted nor show your responses which just cause further inflammation and the cycle goes on. I’m not saying the abuse you get is justified, it isn’t, but you have a choice to rise above, ignore and censor it and yet you don’t, which I don’t understand. I doubt this will be posted, as most of my posts where I try to encourage common sense are not, or are doctored before being posted which is worse. It’s intended more as some advice which I hope you find useful. Hopefully chat again in future when this place is a bit less toxic. All the best and take care.

It's probably best for all of us (eds included) to not take things so seriously and just have a bit of a laugh.
I know it's a bit different for the eds as this is part of their actual day jobs and questions/ discussions are mostly aimed in their direction but take it all with a pinch of salt, whatever happens-happens.

It's all just speculation, none of us have any real idea what is physically going on in those boardrooms.

I have also noticed a lot of very annoying LFC fans over the past 5 years (since we started being successful again tbh)

Having been a fan since 1990 I've seen my fair share of poor seasons and am still pretty delighted we're competing for trophies again. A lot of newer fans just want everything given to them on a platter as that's all they're used to.

From the sounds of it- unfortunately llorente does look to be getting a fair bit of abuse. On top of some posters saying things unsuitable for the site. It’s a terrible shame. Ed2 -have a lovely day, go relax yourself with a smashing gin and tonic and stay out of that weather-I’m about to sit down with a drunshanbo myself after a long day editing my final book in series. Perfect really. And if you haven’t tried drunshambo, I would recommend it to any gin connoisseurs. Also the hangovers are legendary.

I read your first book AOE and enjoyed it. I thought I’d followed you on kindle so that it would tell me when the next book was out.

I guessing that if you’re editing the last in the series that I’ve missed a few books.

I seem to have had my original account deleted after many years on this site. I have never verbally abused anyone on here so can any of the Eds please enlighten me as to why this has occurred? .

Ah it’s that time of year again in the football-rumours (for those of you older enough to remember) circle of life.

- Ed002 mentions a name
- Some posters don’t like said name and explain why they are crap and a terrible buy
- other people ask about said player
- Ed002 gives a response and makes reference to earlier abuse of said player - often referencing the fan base generally in said response
- posters can’t cope with the fan base as a whole being criticised and then engage in back and forth with ed002 about how not everyone is like that, etc, etc,
- ed002 gets fed up of the senseless abuse and takes a break
- people miss ed002s contributions to the site and ask for him to come back
- having gotten bored of his day job as a rodeo clown and gentlemen traveller ed002 eventually returns.
- we all forgot about said incident until the next transfer window

Here’s the rub - people shouldn’t feel the need to defend the honour of the wider fan base every time one of the Ed’s says something mildly inflammatory (which is normally entirely justified) . Similarly the Ed’s also don’t need to be told how grateful most of us are for the time they put into this site (which has become a community over the years) and the information they provide.

There’s a reason people like macca don’t post anymore - at some point people might learn not to ruin what you have.

Heya footy fan mate- delighted you liked my book. I have three series. The one I haven’t touched in a while is the little book of lies series- if that’s the one sadly I still have no second one coming out- though maybe down the road I’ll get to it. My biggest series is the spark city series. I’m just about to finish book 4. It’s a fantasy series so not everyone’s taste. Hope this helps mate.

I forget who I am all the time. Thankfully salah takes the weight for me then- my fantasy series are under Robert j power. My little book of lies is under rj power. Yep- I’m that clever with my pseudo names. I haven’t done much with the little book of lies. It was really well received but then spark kinda took off and I’ve spent the last 5 years trying to finish the series off. It’ll be nice not getting angry messages from my publishers asking why I’ve missed every deadline by a year or so. Hopefully if time allows I’ll write a sequel to the little book- it was an immensely fun book to write.

I was sure I was following you on kindle but I didn’t get a notification when the 2nd book came out. I’ll double check I’ve followed you properly.

I’ll get right onto the second book as soon as I’ve finished what I’m reading at the moment.
