Hi eds, Hope you're well. Quick question regarding Caicedo. Rumours state he may hand in a transfer request. Any chance we could try and jump in despite the fee or has this ship sailed by. Best wishes.

Caicedo in the last hour or so has posted this on his official Instagram.

This type of news really worries me. Not so much because its Caicedo but because everyone seems to spend bar us. If there isn't significant investment in the summer I think even those who fully support FSG will tire of the situation.

Arsenal have increased their offer. Brighton will accept at the right offer. It needs to be a good chunk over £60m to get done this window. Arsenals trajectory and location will be important if offer needed matched. Arsenal board keen to support title charge.

Rephrase - what is the purpose of caicedo handing in a transfer request? What changes for Brighton when they receive it? Do they have to allow Caicedo to speak with other teams?

He's a 20 year old that has seen his star rise very quickly. His new representation is driving this. Very harsh to judge him on this when our own captain called his media buddies to leak stories about Atletico and PSG interest to force through his bumper contract.
