EDs what do you think of this Yacine Brahimi links? Any truth in this? Rumors are gathering pace and the money being quoted is just insane. Hope its not true.
{Ed002's Note - Whilst the interest of Manchester City and Lazio has gone, PSG retain an interest in Yacine Brahimi but he has complex third party ownership issues and a very high price tag. Liverpool are looking to add a winger in the summer but Brahimi is far from first choice - if they do make an offer it would smack of a little desparation.}

Yeah I can't see the club or Klopp paying that kind of silly money for 1 player. Probably just somebody trying to drum up an auction. Plus, at 26, he'd a bit old for us. ;)
Don't see any reason to doubt Ed002's word regarding Rafa Silva and Praet.

Reports coming from BILD (reliable source) that Gotze has decided to stay at Bayern Munich. Have you guys heard anything regarding this? I remember ED02 saying Bayern want him gone asap. Has the situation turned, as it does in football so often.

Ed001 seems to completely miss the point regarding CBs. You seem to forget the CB crisis we had last season. Without Klavan and Matip we would have only Sakho and Lovren as our good trusted CB pairing. If one or both gets injured we wouldn't have adequate cover. Players like Ilori, Wisdom, and Lucas aren't going to get us anywhere near challenging for top 4. Simply, they are trash who wouldn't even get a place on bench at other clubs challenging for top 4. You really shouldn't criticize others either if you have no clue about what you are talking about. Really worries me when I see genuine liverpool fans who have accepted mediocrity.
{Ed001's Note - so what? That is why you check injury histories and have medicals before you buy players. Leicester had so few injuries for good reason last season, despite having the hardest training routine of all teams in the league. We should be using the same methods, instead of buying more injured players. As for the 'CB crisis', that is what a manager is for, to manage things like that, with the resources at his disposal. Not bring in 45 players in case there is another one. We can't have 8 players for every position in case there is an injury.}

If Udinese were really angry they wouldn't sell us at any price. They are just trying to act difficult. They know we have the money from TV deal. They could care less about a player who wanted to leave (whether we came for him or not) anyway. He isn't moving to their rivals either.
All this tapping up stuff (however true) is just a front in my honest opinion. Football is a business at the end of the day. Money talks. It is naive to think other top clubs haven't done the same thing multiple times. Keep faith guys. We will get him once the transfer window opens.

I wouldn't worry too much guys. We will get him at our price. We need to start overpaying for players now. Remember transfer window hasn't even opened. Exciting times ahead.

Think Klopp loves clyne. He is the only quality fullback in our team. Hopefully some team in championship buy flanagan. That is his level. Would be good solution for both parties.

Am i the only one loving the way we are conducting our business now? No longer we are overpaying for players with potential. Far too long have we acted nice, i. e. throwing money at players like Downing, Carroll, Benteke, Allen, Alberto, Aspas. the list is just frightening.
We don't live in an ideal world anymore. Look at United. They employed a classless man like Jose as their manager. But who cares? No one will say anything when he brings trophies. LVG and Moyes were nice guys but they were hated.
Anyway I hope we continue to try our best to get players at lowest possible price. We shouldn't care what others think. No one will give us players for free just because our reputation is good or we are nice.

And rightly so. Payet is a late boomer and he is a world class talent. Carried his team all season and scored a very important goal today for his country. We would be lucky to have a talent like him in our team. Someone who STEPS UP when in matters.
Some here think Coutinho is world class because he scores hattrick against Haiti. When he is far far from reaching there although he has the potential to be there one day.

Are people seriously questioning Clyne? He was the player of the season for me. Rarely gets beaten, one of the most consistent players for us. As much as I like flanno, he is half the player Clyne is in terms of ability.
{Ed091's Note - I think clyne has been consistent and with flanno there we don't need a rb right now. However I do propose eventually we need better quality in there, unless flanno can find his form.
