Many may disagree with me but I see Trent as more of a deep-lying playmaker. He needs someone more defensive minded next to him though. Someone like Endo or Bajcetic is ideal but Mac in a double pivot works as well. I can see him launching balls from deep, similar to what Xabi used to do for us.

VV, Odegaard is a Liverpool fan and has been on record previously about how much he wants to play for us. I wouldn't take much notice about what players say to the media about what fan of a team they are. Caicedo, for example, has been a RM and Arsenal fan before deciding that he's a Chelsea fan. It's all mostly pandering and posturing. If we wanted Eze and Olise and seriously went for them, I'm sure they would consider joining us.

Hi WDW3. Sorry for the late reply. Was still mourning the loss last night.

Anyway, it's just my opinion based on my past experience as an athlete during my university days. Our coach then always stressed to us that recovery is just as important, if not more, than the actual training and competing that we do. And I have seen first hand my other team mates suffering injuries because they did not do their recoveries properly.

For Jota, it has been documented that he is also a good Fifa/ EAFC player and has been known to play games late into the nights even when we have a game later the next day or when we had a game earlier in the day. That to me indicates that he isn't taking his recovery seriously and hence, is contributing to his own injuries.

To be fair to him, a few are impact injuries but most are muscular which can be usually prevented with proper training and recovery.

I have alluded to it before but I just think that Jota doesn't take care of himself very well and hence, doesn't recover well enough after games.

I'm confused now Dandan. Is it 3 draws and 2 losses or 2 losses and 3 draws? Doesn't seem like you can make up your mind what his record is in Europe.

And if you had really bothered to do your research, you would have known that his record in the UCL and UEL reads as 10 wins, 10 draws, and 11 losses. If you're looking at his European record in totality (including qualifying rounds and the UECL) it would read as 25 wins, 18 draws, and 14 losses. Bearing in mind that he got this record while managing Feyenoord and Az Alkmaar, I would say it's a fairly decent record.

I don't think the players have downed tools. Like Ed said, they are just lacking belief and confidence. I do agree that Klopp and his coaching team looks lost and can't seem to turn this around.

Personally, I feel that we are already out of the title race after last night's results. A bit of a downer after what was expected to be Klopp's farewell. Nonetheless, I would still wish for us to go all out for the last four games and get the maximum number of points still available.

I'm with VV on this. Tuchel would be bad choice as manager. Has shown to be extremely average and his team always plays dire football. It's no wonder that Bayern wants rid of him as well. He should definitely be doing better with them given the resources they have but being second by a long way just shows how limited he is. He did win trophies at Chelsea though but the football was terrible under him. Also has shown to be combative and not a pleasant person to work with. We'll just be setting ourselves back if we appoint him.

Klopp and the players got us into that position where things were in our hands in the first place. But I agree that Klopp and the players should be held accountable for the poor results in recent weeks too. Why we shifted styles to this slow and turgid build-up when it has never worked before is beyond me. We always play our best when we go all out and overwhelm the opponents from the first minute.

Lowe, are you implying that our players faked their injuries when the pressure is on and are now returning when we are almost out of all competitions and hence, can play with no pressure? Cos I don't get what you're trying to say with that last line there.
