I don't understand how anyone could possibly think Chelsea would sell Colwill to Liverpool. not going to happen.

We’re 3 and a half weeks away from our first league game and our major rebuild is starting to look like a major clear out and downsize of squad.

I know lots have been worried about our wage budget so this window has been good for them.

Next season I think it’s a high possibility we play more games than we did last season and we have the beauty of Thu and sun games a lot of the weeks.

Europa might be an opportunity to blood some youngsters in but it’s a tournament we should be taking very seriously.

Looking at the current squad I’m not sure if it’s capable of putting a title challenge together. The good thing from this window is City also seem to be losing key players but I expect them to drop a couple of big name quality players in over the next few weeks.

Hopefully we can do the same.

Nonsense both were rubbish last season and won’t be missed.
Fab was slow to every challenge, hence so many yellow cards
Henderson gave nothing to team
Both well passed their best

Hendo won't be missed? Are you mad? He is literally our captain. You can say he had a bad season last year but to suggest he won't be missed is beyond baffling!

Leadership, that’s what he’s brought on and off the field. I’d like to see Trent get the armband as I think he could grow further in stature and take more responsibility. Take games by the scruff of the neck like Gerrard did.

Can we just wait until we see who the club bring in to replace them?

Moving on Fabinho and Henderson for c. £55m between them is GOOD business.

If they replace them well with a younger, hungrier and possibly even better player then surely that’s a GOOD window.

Henderson and Fabs leaving has clearly caught us all off guard and has come out of the blue but can be a good thing if we manage it properly.

Or are you accusing the club of knowing about these deals well before they went public and did nothing? I don't get your accusation, man so you're going to need to explain what you mean here, respectfully.

I know about the leadership issue and I hear you but we have other leaders in the DR and the ultimate leader of our institution is still Big Jurgen Klopp. As long as we have him, we can overcome and achieve anything. Come on, man.

Other than the fact he is a local boy, what have you seen that I have missed about him being good captain material. At Least Hendo Milner and Gerrard led by example, whereas Trent is always out of position.

Trent has been getting prepared to take the captaincy of the club for a while I feel. Can only think of robbo who has the grit and work ethic to be an example to the rest who wear the shirt. Obviously salah could take it but never been a fan of strikers being captains.

It is just the nature of football, going into the summer window it appeared the plan was two midfielders in (at least) and a CB.

However, we then got two offers, one for Fab which I think was too good to turn down. I saw plenty of times on here that his legs are gone or he needs replacing but now he looks to be going we are losing our minds. If we get 40m for him and can get a younger, longer term replacement it is a no brainer.

We also got an offer for Hendo, who appears to have had is head turned by Gerrard and the money. Again not planned but it is the nature of it changing daily in football. If it is Hendo's decision to leave then I think he has earnt the right for the club to honour his wish.

The club now need to react and I am sure they will, I would imagine the delay in both deals being announced agreed is down to finding the right replacements.
