I have heard Liverpool are interested in Pedro Rebocho from Guningamp.

From what I can see online, he’s a Portuguese left back, could be good cover for Robbo and probably wouldn’t cost the world.

He even got 8 assists last year in the league!

Anyway, I’m not ITK or anything just what I was told by a chap at work.

1.) 19 Jun 2019 10:54:15
Sounds plausible at least.
Can't decide whether it's claptrap or hogwash from the Echo who say Junior Firpo or Philipp Max are tipped as possible left-back options for Liverpool. Well, they're left-backs but that's where the relevance ends. Both would want to be first choice and we've got that covered already. Just stop printing this crap.

2.) 19 Jun 2019 14:58:39
Have heard from my agent. Liverpool would like me as a second choice gk. anyones fine itseems. ali is going to play every game anyway😂😂😂.

3.) 20 Jun 2019 02:51:01
He is going to Olympique de Marseille. Villa Boas wants him. Apparently both him and the player share the same agent; as well as of course both from Portugal.

Steven Bergwijn - looks to be having a great season with PSV. I’ve seen him linked with us and a few other PL clubs.

Had a look through the search function and seen a year or so ago he was linked to us.

1.) 27 Jan 2019 04:24:27
Brilliant signing if we can get him. Good alternative to Werner and very versatile on both wings and will allow Salah to play upfront from time to time.

2.) 27 Jan 2019 10:39:03
Really depends on what we can get him for. He's only 21, but it's really hard to predict how well these young Eredivisie wingers they keep churning out, will adapt the first time they find themselves in a competitive league. I'd genuinely rather give Camacho, Woodburn or Jones a shot, than risk signing the next Assaidi. If they don't work out, then give Wilson a chance next season.

If we're going to sign a winger, let's not kick our academy prospects in the teeth by signing somebody else's prospect. Sign a proven player or trust in our own youth.

3.) 27 Jan 2019 11:08:08
He could be the next Robben though MK.

I’ve never actually seen the kid play but I trust the scouts and Klopp to get it right.

4.) 27 Jan 2019 13:29:00
Yeah he could be Bobby 😂 just like Ryan Babel, Ousama Assaidi, Memphis Depay, Anwar El Ghazi, Vincent Janssen, Jozy Altidore, Mateja Kezman, Afonso Alves, Wilfried Bony and Siem De Jong!

Not all flop to be fair. Arjen Robben, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Dirk Kuyt, Christian Eriksen, Luis Suarez, Gini Wijnaldum, Robin Van Persie etc. That is what makes it such a gamble. You could be getting a steal, or getting robbed blind!

5.) 27 Jan 2019 14:30:48
Would’ve been interesting to see how Depay would’ve turned out under a manager who likes to play attacking football as there’s no doubt the guy has talent just think he was at united at the wrong time.

6.) 27 Jan 2019 20:40:20
Give Markovic a go!

7.) 27 Jan 2019 21:52:16
Depay was a mix of being badly managed and his own hubris.

8.) 27 Jan 2019 21:54:51
Wilson maybe?

9.) 28 Jan 2019 03:35:18
Robbed blind, you say MK, united certainly were, on a daley basis!

10.) 28 Jan 2019 23:48:06
If Wilson doesn’t get a chance in the first team squad and get some minutes to at least give him a chance to earn his place then what is the point in having a youth team? He’s doing great in the championship, let’s see if he can step it up. If not then fair enough but I think he could be great.

12 points from 12

Great start to the season

We have a very tough run after the internation break so good to see us start well!

Not the best performance today but at his stage of the season it is not a big concern. Performance will come, get results, which we have done! 💪🏼🔴

1 goal conceded in 4 games is fantastic.

1.) 01 Sep 2018 16:31:12
A win is a win. They did good job.

2.) 01 Sep 2018 16:39:44
Agreed. Although should ‘probably’ be 0 goals conceded in 4 games played.

Let’s hope Alisson learns there is a time and a place to mess about on the ball as teams will be quick to close him down now they’ve seen what he is like!

3.) 01 Sep 2018 17:55:52
Where been at about 25% capacity for our capability. 12 out of 12.

What's coming this season should be special!

30 Aug 2018 21:04:24
Realistically as a pot 3 team, almost whichever group we were drawn into would have been the most difficult group for those 4 teams.

It’s a tough group for sure. And anyone that thinks Napoli will be easy now they’ve lost Sarri and Jorg or that PSG are 3 man team is in for a shock.

However saying that we got to the final last year and bloody deserved to be there! No reason why we can’t do it again and go one step further this time too!

🔴.

1.) 30 Aug 2018 21:28:47
Psg Front 3 - Napoli Front 3 - Liverpool Front 3 + NK8 + Alisson13. We are going to Smash them!

19 Jul 2018 13:12:21
I think the focus now needs to be on moving on a few players where we have excess.

A few that come to mind:
- Goalkeepers (Mignolet and maybe Ward too as I think he’ll want to go with AB coming)
- Defence (Matip - personally think he could go and Gomez/ Klavan are sufficient backup)
- Midfield (I think maybe Lallana or Gini COULD go but personally I’d love them both stay. It can be risky brining in lots of new midfielders as we have and not have AOC available)
- Forward (Ings will leave. One of Origi or Sturridge will likely leave too. The other should be kept as a good option off the bench and to rest Firmino)

1.) 19 Jul 2018 14:10:23
Mignolet has been talking about considering his options for a few months now. The option to play for Liverpool is not one of them so its safe to say he will be off if we can find a buyer. Ward has just gone to Leicester (good luck to the lad) .

Matip is frustratingly lazy and could be good If he applied himself, but he choses not to. That being said, I don't think any CB's will be moving. VVD, Lovren Gomez and Klavan should be enough to keep him out but i see him being chosen over klavan.

Clyne is surplus now we have TAA and Gomez. Even Milner can play RB so surely he is one we should be looking to sell. Moreno is a good backup to Robertson in my opinion. He showed that when he is given the chance he puts effort in, unfortunately when he doesn't have competition he coasts so for now he will have to play second fiddle.

Lallana and Wijnaldum are the only midfielders i can see leaving too. With the 2 new arrivals, henderson, Milner, Ox and maybe Fekir we are flooded. Henderson and Milner are too important and although i really like Lallana, if he wants regular game time i don't blame him for wanting to move because i doubt he will get it here.

Sturridge should stay now along with Solanke. Sturridge would make a brilliant impact sub and Solanke can learn from these 2. I would prefer Ings to Sturridge as i believe he has even more to give but the guy deserves first team football and could walk into most bottom table teams.

Grujic, Markovic have no chance of getting in and should be given a way out. I know football is a business game but its unfair to expect to recover money for these two when its our fault it was spent. Its halting their careers.

Juventus paid big bucks for Buffon but tied secured a world class goalkeeper for 15 years!

If we sign Alisson, and can get anything like that type of service out of him then the transfer fee will be shrewd.

19 May 2018 00:36:21
I have seen so many people clamouring for Gigi Buffon to be signed as our back up keeper.

Honestly, boys are in dreamland. The chances of him leaving Juventus where has build his whole career, won countless trophies, has his whole life in Turin and Italy and move to northern England at his age. for what?!

Why on earth would he do that? To be our backup goalkeeper?

Honestly, if people aren’t impressed by Butland and can’t see the value there, then fine each to their own, but clamouring for Buffon to be signed instead as if that’s a realistic option and how it’s dissapointijf we’re not looking at him is just laughable . 🤨😂

DONT forget too, nobody wanted Roberson or AOC either! TRUST in the MANAGER 🤙🏼

Macca, thank you, you are a true gent.
Ed’s hope you are all well. 🔴.

1.) 19 May 2018 01:49:27
Agreed navy. Even Klavan has come good. The recruitment has been pretty brilliant in recent seasons. I also don't think butland is coming to play no2. No way, not a keeper of his renown and at this stage in his career. He is coming to start. I don't see it as much of an improvement on Karius though I have to say. Loris has done okay this term and I think he is too good to be a no2. I can only think klopp plans to rotate the keeper like he did early on this season just passed. Or is Karius on his way out?

2.) 19 May 2018 02:01:49
After investing money, time and resource you want to bench Karius for Butland who is no better than Karius? GK is the last position you want to rotate. Lol on one hand you want a settle back 5 and the other hand you want competition for GK position? How is ward fighting for his place? People are just pretending for the sake of convincing themselves.
I wouldn’t mind Reina. He would easily play as a back up. Still a very good keeper. Excellent distribution and he is vocal. Knows the club and plays high line for Napoli. Free agent.

3.) 19 May 2018 04:13:06
It's not what I want but if reports on butland are true then it must be klopp wish. I didn't say I agreed, just trying to make sense of jb signing. And I trust klopp, he has taken the club forward in a massive way and I think he will continue to do so.

4.) 19 May 2018 08:42:15
Reina had signed for Milan.

5.) 19 May 2018 09:28:09
Harry, Reina is signing for Milan.

But the point stands. Gigi Buffon will sign for Liverpool as a back up keeper when pigs fly.

Let’s get a bit of sense.

{Ed001's Note - actually the Milan deal is not defo any more because they are having some financial difficulties.}

6.) 19 May 2018 11:57:59
If Butland is coming in, he is coming in as backup to Karius, IMO. Klopp will not drop his own hand-picked no. 1 who he supported and protected, found a way to ease him in and who is has the most clean sheets in the CL and who is about to play a CL final. I'd say the boy has definitely improved even tho, a lot more needs to be done. I don't see that happening.

7.) 19 May 2018 13:13:28
He’s leaving juve for somewhere though, I’m sure if we threw our hats in the ring he would at least consider a backup keeper/ coaching role.
I can’t see it happening as I think he may want to be first choice somewhere with coaching thrown in as well.

@JT

I don't think that we do overprice our players.

Solanke, Ibe, Ings, Ward etc have all been sold for considerable sums which represent much better business than years gone by where we would be making considerable losses on sales.

Well done Liverpool transfer team!

Everyone always the NEXT thing.

Asensio and Pepe arent a patch on Mo Salah.

We need to consolidate the squad, not weaken it.

Apart from goalkeeper. I don’t believe in “back ups”.

A top team should have a strong squad which are all capable of pushing for a 1st team place. Not 11 players and some back ups .

I understand why people are irate.

But I really hate this mentality of hating on players once there are rumours they might leave.

Salah is a top player and recognised as one of the best forwards in football. Sane and Pepe are nowhere near of his standard right now. Nowhere near. Let’s not pretend like he’s not a good player.

DESPITE THIS, I think one thing we can all agree on (especially after Couts leaving) is that we can trust Klopp and team to adapt the team and improve us regardless of departures! He is not irreplaceable.

I took that as the total opposite Ed!

I commend him for prioritising Cardiff in the relegation battle to stay in the premier league over his own ambitions to play internationally.

I guess we will never know for sure.

Salah has just won the golden boot 2 years running.

I wouldn’t sell him for all the money in the world, unless he requested to leave.

Not irreplaceable. But not easy to replace at all.

European cups are our IDENTITY.

It’s what makes Liverpool what it is. Number 6.
