I don’t know whether this has been touched on before but has anyone else noticed how many chances we’ve conceded after Salah has lost possession?
I can think of 3 big chances off the top of my head, PSG 2nd goal, Hazard going clean through (Alisson saves) and City’s penalty on Sunday.
Any thoughts on why this is or is it purely coincidence? We give up so little chances these days that it just seems to stand out as a bit of a pattern emerging.
I’m not bashing Salah by the way I actually think he’s largely played well.

Rubbish, the chance against Chelsea was Salah conceding a free kick in the Chelsea half, it’s not his fault that the rest of the team switched off. For the City penalty Salah was tacked in the opposition half, that happens, it’s called football. The only error he has made is for the second PSG goal.

For the City pen - in my book Fernandinho fouled him anyways so can’t put the blame at Salah’s feet.

I knew this would happen. People are so precious.
I’m not blaming anyone I’m asking if he’s doing anything different. The Chelsea and City ones are because he’s got his back to goal when receiving the ball and the defender has managed to Nick the ball before him. This is happening a lot this season and I don’t remember it happening at all last season.
Just asking if people think he’s playing differently or is he being played differently?
Last season I’d have loved defenders to get tight as he’d just humiliate them. This season they are nicking the ball.

The only things I can think of that he is doing different are:

1) not putting the ball in the back of the net
2) missing simple passes.

I don’t know the reason for it but he’s lucky to keep getting selected.

OP, seems like you are looking for a scapegoat. Salah lost the ball vs PSG and the goal happened and that is it. Clearly, he is the only one that has ever done that before. How many back passes did Gerrard make that led to goals? Exactly. Please, let's not start singling him out for the reasons we concede (which are baseless) while also being the reason we don't score. That is just plain senselessness. We all want Salah to do well BUT sticking the boot in when he's down with baseless innuendo is appalling, IMO.

Ron, There is nothing surprising about Salah being continuously selected. Salah keeps getting picked cos a) he has earned the right to play and for the manager and us to persevere with him in his difficult times. b) He is still getting into good positions, getting chances and still doing his defensive work hence, there is reason to persevere with him and c) We may not be winning a PL title w/ o Salah BUT we definitely will not be winning one W/ O him. He has the trust of the coaching staff and his team mates so expect him to keep getting selected PROVIDED he keeps doing the things I mentioned above. Again, Nothing surprising about that, bro.

BRover you’ve completely misinterpreted what I said. I was not blaming him for anything just pointing out something I’ve noticed and asking for people’s thoughts.
No one is looking for a scapegoat, why would we need one? We are top of the bloody league!
Salah is a brilliant player I love the guy but he has been losing the ball particularly with a defender tight to his backside. Perhaps he’s worried about using that arm to hold them off?
Anyway it was certainly not an innuendo or criticism so get off your high horse mate.

I said he is “lucky” to keep getting selected. He is living off last season’s remarkable form. I’m surprised Klopp doesn’t rest him, he’s not right and a title winning side has no place for passengers.
