Not liverpool related but would be good to hear from the reds and Ed's on this.
Opinion on Arteta as Arsenal manager.
It's a big big no from me.

Cheers.

{Ed025's Note - massive massive gamble for me, he certainly should not be linked to a team of arsenals stature until he has a bit of a CV mate..

I really think arsenal could do better. If it was me I’d go out and get emery and let him build the squad the way Wenger was allowed to.

If they had sense Benitez would be signed.

Arteta needs to go earn his stripes first then come back and we will evaluate.

{Ed025's Note - totally agree brover..

Massive risk on Arsenal's part. Could end very badly seeing as he hasn't any managerial experience.

I thought they wanted to move on change the playing ethos. This seems like a sub standard sideways step to me.

Said it previously, next man in is the fall guy.
You need one after such a long time.
22 years of stability, they will have at least 18 months of difficulties.
Silly move by Arteta but sensible by Arsenal 🤝.

Imo the next arsenal manager is cannon fodder. Similar to moyes at utd. As soon as fans realise wenger wasn't the problem and the owners are. They will hh o hh rough one or two managers then settle on Eddie howe next year or two.

He may come good in the next 18 months but Arsenal are playing catch up with the top 5. They will lose distance unless a minor miracle happens and Arteta hits the road running. But I cannot see that happening with the squad he has inherited. Nor can I see him being able to draw the players in that he would need for Arsenal to get back into top 4.
