{Eds Note: If you didn't read it, Noshbag wrote an excellent article - LFC Senior Squad Regulars - A Statistical Analysis: Part 1: Goalkeepers and Defenders

Nice article that thanks. Agree with most of it although generous with your C for Moreno. Highlights how mediocre our back 5 are. Just think what we could achieve with a solid defence and no.1.

I really enjoyed it. As you'd expect with such a long post, their are a few parts i disagreed on. However it was brilliantly articulated and kept me fully engaged throughout.

I look forward to the next instalments, Noshbag.

Really good post and looking forward to the next installment, although something that interests me is the 'errors leading to goals' category. How is that defined? Because I can think of dozen's of times opposition has scored because Mings made a basic error with a fairly loose definition like inexplicably going to ground, or forgoing an easy clearance with his boot to try and catch it etc. But then if there is a might tighter definition like dropping the ball in front of a striker, I'm surprised he's had 6. Can anyone clarify what this figure actually refers to?

Noshbag that is a very informative read. I agree with every grade. last year Moreno would be an E but he deserves his C he has been better than most this year.

De Gea stats are incredible.

Thank you guys, I'm hoping the next instalment will take less than 2 months but there is only so much I can do whilst sat at my desk trying to make it look like I'm actually working!

To answer your post hjickle, I believe they are considered "severe" errors rather than "soft" errors. Those particular figures came directly from the premier league website.

I would have thought if they were including "soft" errors as well then Lovren would have hit the 10 - 20 mark and I dread to think of what mignolets would be. I'm not 100% sure on this though sorry.
