Eds, all the talk of a Coutinho replacement has gone away for the time-being, remember Lanzini and more recently 'James' from Bayern (madrid L) being linked. However surprised Nabil Fekir hasn't been linked to us as of yet or Max Arnold, both performing well in their respective leagues and have been for the past couple of seasons.

Now obviously i am just name dropping and i haven't seen any links to these prior, just curious as to if you fella's in the know might of heard something?

On a separate note, i know i'm peppering you with questions, but i'm seeing a lot of negativity directed towards Lallana, now i got to Anfield frequently, last season he was immense, so far off the little game time i've seen him play he hasn't looked to bad, still the most technically gifted player in our squad. When we attack he's always fasted on the turn to direct the attack and always wants ball to feet. I think if he was to go he'd be a very pricey an difficult player to replace. thoughts?

(dont be too brutal in the response guys)

{Ed001's Note - something about what? Do you mean general links to those players or specifically us? Or are you asking about genuine interest rather than media links and, in which case, do you mean interest from us or general interest?

Lallana is hardly that difficult to replace considering how little he has played so far this season (200min) and yet we have been a lot better than when he was playing last season. Suggests to me he has been pretty much replaced already and he needs to show that he deserves to be kept. On his day he is a fantastic, technical footballer, but he is not likely to be first choice next season unless he plays at his best every week.}

I think Lallana much like Sturridge and maybe even Henderson has been injured quite a lot recently and the team has just carried on and been much better without them in it
which is unlucky for them and to get back in it much like Ed001 said they would pretty much need to be playing at there peak powers every week to warrant a place in the first 11.

Hopefully we will never be linked with Arnold ever. This guy could play for a bottom table side but doesn't have to closest ability to either play for liverpool or strenghten the squad in any part.

Arnold is a quality player. I've kept an eye out for him for 4 years now and he is certainly good enough to play in our side.

Not only is he a set piece specialist, but he is lethal from anywhere inside 35 yards on that left foot of his. He is the dictator in Wolfsburgs midfield at just 23 years old.

If you doubt his ability to play at a higher level, i suggest you look back to when Kevin De Bruyne was there, and the two of them caused carnage. One year they ran Bayern close for the title. Sadly for Arnold, his star team mates have all been poached. He easily has the quality to step up a level though. He hits the ball so clean and his passing is so ambitious out from the back.

He reminds me a bit of a young Xabi Alonso, before Xabi had nailed the defensive side of the game. Whether or not he ever hits the heights Xabi did is another thing entirely though. Alonso improved in so many aspects by so much, and i think you have to put that down to the top class coaches he worked with; Rafa, Del Bosque, Mourinho and Guardiola. At 23 years old it is way too early to write Max Arnold off though. So many players don't really fulfil their potential until 25-27 years old, and under a top coach with quality players around him, he could thrive.
