I am going to see the LFC v Spurs match in Feb it’ll be my first match at Anfield (can’t wait) and was wondering if any of the eds or posters had any suggestions of good places to go near the stadium pubs with a good atmosphere etc. Also does anyone have any recommendations of places to stay for a couple of nights? Thanks.

My favourite pub that is literally right next to the stadium is the Sandon. It's quality.

Whenever i stay up there, I've stayed in Hatters Hostel. It's filthy cheap, but take a padlock so you can secure your things in the cage under the bed, because you share a room with about 20 people 😂

First time i ever stayed there, a couple of polish girls were in the bunk bed next to me, and they just stripped completely naked and got into bed right in front of me 😂 it's an experience, let me tell you. There is a big pay and display car park near by if you're driving, but it's also near to the train station (and it's less than £10 for a taxi to the stadium) . If you want cost efficiency, it's top of the list. Literally about £17 a night last time i went. You even get a basic breakfast included and there is a shower room if you're as brave as the lasses from Poland. Don't go there if you have any shred of class or dignity about you though 😂.

Ah mate you have to go to the Albert right beside the ground, it's a must.

In the future, if I'm fortunate enough to go there, definitely I will be staying in Hatters Hostel.

I can't recommend it enough Haizan. But then, I'm a simple person who can improvise, adapt, and overcome! 😂 it's like camping but instead of hearing animals in the middle of the night, you hear tourists of various nationalities. Bloody Fantastic in my opinion!

May Duncan's is decent and relatively cheap too.

The pub downstairs is an experience 2.

The park pub, straight facing the kop.
The alberts ok but the park is always bouncing.
