Ed002

I guess with Jurgen now leaving, Leroy sane preferred choice to replace Salah goes with it?

Speaking on behalf of pool supporters, we love klopp to death, he is like a second father to Liverpool supporters. The connection he has built within the team, the city, the supporters, with rival fans and clubs admiring his work from a far shows his admirable work his achieved at Liverpool. Sad to see him go, but we move on.

However, I always thought there were better wingers and younger, with a higher projection than Leroy Sane, (Klopps preferred choice. )
Who would your choice be to replace Salah and who do you think we will go for now?

Cheers
Tommy T.

{Ed002's Note - I am not so sure you can expect all of the identified potential recruits to disappear and a new lot to arrive. It is not all Klopp's choice although Sane clearly is, but you would need to know the views of Barry Hunter and Dave Fallows.

For me and from talking with others who know far more about players, Marcus Edwards would be an excellent choice or take a real outsider like Sebastian Szymanski who is having a great season but is being used as an AM player or Matias Soule - both have a lot of potential. Michael Olise would be another very good option but, like Edwards, I expect him to move elssewhere. }

Marcus Edwards I really like, would love to see him with us. Finally starting to show why he was viewed as a rising star! Plus appreciate his approach to move abroad to challenge himself.

Would also help with our ongoing HG issue, assume the elsewhere is Spurs!

There won't be a HG issue next season as long as no major changes don't happen as Trent, Bradley, Quansah, Gomez, Beck, Morton, Jones, Elliot, Kelleher all will be 21 or over and qualify as HG.

The real AG, you're right that there won't be an issue as we have so many players in our first team squad who are still U21. We haven't filled our allocation of 8 HG players, and won't next year either without incomings, but I'd rather continue to see what gems are being produced by our academy.

Currently, List B includes all U21 players and the qualifying criteria is being born after 1 Jan 02 (for the 23-24 EPL season), so it will be 1 Jan 03 for next season.

Our current HG players are Kelleher, Gomez, TAA and Curtis Jones.

Elliot, Bradley, Quansah, Beck, Ramsay, Doak, Bajcetic, McConnell, Clark etc are all U21 this season, will be U21 next season and some (Doak, Bajcetic etc) will continue to be U21 in the 25-26 season too.
