Hello Ed002, it's been a while. I hope you are doing well. I listened to the Liverpool related Sharkopod, but it has been a while since then and I was wondering if you can maybe do another one the players LFC are looking at? If a pod is too much of trouble now, I and others would be pretty thrilled to hear about them on a post.

Thanks!

The real AG

{Ed002's Note - I will be doing some further Sharkopods soon. Keep in mind that there was also the Klopp interview in one of the Final Day Shapkods as well p may get himback in to do another.}

Liverpool have a representative at the Atletico Paranaense international U17 tournament in which Paranaense U17 team along with U17 teams of Uruguay, Orlando City and India are participating.

Clubs have scouts everywhere. Nothing new.

I know club scouts many tournaments, not necessarily with an intent to buy immediately.

I will make sure I won't post again if I hear something.

Hello Ed002, it's been a while. I hope you are doing well.

Seeing as you are around, I was wondering if you know of any Liverpool interest in Schalke's Sead Kolasinic? I remember there was some talk of the player last summer, but I think you mentioned that the player said he has no interest in a move to Liverpool. Seeing as he is out of contract in the summer, are you aware of any attempts from Liverpool to perhaps get the player on a pre-contract?

Additionally, with Sakho and Ilori expected to leave this January, and the likes of Lloyd Jones Maguire, Randall and perhaps Lucas all expected to leave in the summer, and with young Joe Gomez still being carefully introduced back into first team training following his injury, do you know of any centre backs Liverpool are keeping an eye out for?

The real AG

{Ed002's Note - I am doing fine thanks. Previously of interest to Manchester United and Spurs, Roma, West Brom and Manchester City enquired after Schalke's Sead Kolasinac in the summer but the enquiries went nowhere. Wolfsburg, Chelsea and Liverpool also had watched toward the end of last season. West Ham and RBL have had him watched this season. Wolfsburg remain unclear on the future of Ricardo Rodriguez still and may turn again to the player if Schalke cannot agree and extension.

None of the centre backs you mention are part of the plans right now so I would expect Klopp to stick with what he has - which is four first team picks including Gomez and discounting Sakho. If he looks to another then they will be taking the position of someone who is not a likely starter at the club. If he brings in a potential first team starter then it would be the end for Gomez.}

1.) 06 Nov 2016 13:35:51
If say, Sule came in and Sakho and Klavan left in d summer leaving us with Matip, Sule, Lovren and Gomez as our 1st choice centre halfs do you still think it would spell the end of Gomez?

2.) 07 Nov 2016 10:48:26
Has anyone watched much of Süle?
I've seen a few matches and I'm not impressed.
Could someone please answer - what does he offer that Gomez doesn't?

3.) 07 Nov 2016 13:03:59
Whats wrong with having both of them?, could be one of the top partnerships in Europe in a few years.

4.) 07 Nov 2016 12:36:05
Ron, Sule is a Left sided centre back so he wouldn't be challenging Gomez for the position as Gomez would play on the right side. Sule is absolutely huge, his aerial ability is something that we need in our side. He's a real footballer too, his passing is incisive and penetrates the oppositions midfield line. He's also a great tackler and he reads the game very well which masks his one weakness his pace. I'd rather Van Dijk but I'd also be delighted with Sule.

Saw Sule play at the Olympics and he is a beast of a player, with very good aerial, passing, tackling and technical ability. Not saying he will sign but he's worth a shout and a much better upgrade than Van Dyke, who only looks like a good CB but when you watch him play, he's not much to write home about.

Serbian media are reporting that LFC representatives met with Marko Grujic yesterday. Do you know anything about this Ed002?

The real AG

{Ed002's Note - I think it extremely unlikely that Liverpool has been given permission to talk to the player.

Red Star Belgrade DM Marko Grujic's move to either Chelsea or Inter was scheduled to happen in January, but it is now unlikely that he will move before the summer. There is also interest from Napoli, Hamburg,Wolfsburg, PSG, Manchester United, Everton, Manchester City and Roma but both Inter and Chelsea looking to an early deal - Chelsea have already held discussions with Red Star and have made an offer that was not deemed acceptable. Inter have now also held discussions but would need to better the offer from Chelsea - which might be problematic for them in the short term as there focus is elsewhere and money is an issue. The club and the player will look to hold out until the summer for his preferred move to Italy if necessary - but I understand he is coming around to the idea of a move to London. Chelsea would be willing to leave him in Belgrade if they could do a deal in January but this is probably one for the summer.}

1.) 07 Dec 2015 20:52:25
A certain Mr Joyce from the E####ss has reported our interest Ed. Nothing in it then as far as your concerned. You'll do for me mate.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation as I understand it to be - if he is saying Liverpool has been tapping up the player you need to ask him about it and not me.}

2.) 07 Dec 2015 22:40:42
I Like the look of hkm. Looks big and strong, would look better in our midfield and coud even add tk someone like allens game.

{Ed002's Note - He would be a replacement for Lucas if Liverpool are interested.}

3.) 07 Dec 2015 22:50:56
Which is long overdue for the simple fact of Lucas growing age, I wouldn't want Lucas to leave but to have a apprentice for him ready made for the day we need him, the boy is only 19 even 2/3 years half starting and he will still only be 22 and hopefully fit to take over from Lucas.

Could you provide us with any news regarding this player ed in the coming weeks about wether you can confirm our interest?

Thanks for the reply.

What do you think of the player btw? Is he highly thought of?

{Ed002's Note - I have told you where the interest is and regardless of Chelsea and Inter having discussions the club are not looking to sell in January.}

5.) 08 Dec 2015 10:22:23
If we bought a cm, why would he replace Lucas when Allen is not as good? Lucas isn't exactly ancient guys.

6.) 08 Dec 2015 12:41:53
Thanks for the reply Ed002.

Grujic is a DM, and hence Ed002's reference to him potentially be a replacement for Lucas if he arrived.

7.) 08 Dec 2015 14:58:58
The player himself has said he was given permission to speak to Liverpool by his club.

30 Oct 2015 06:05:20
Hello Ed002. I asked this on the European pages, but didn't see a reply there, so I thought I would ask here.

Is there any interest in Shakhtar's Alex Teixeira from Liverpool? I have asked about him in the past and you mentioned that Juventus were interested in him, and recently he has been linked to Chelsea.

I think he is an excellent player, and can play anywhere in midfield from central midfield to attacking midfield or as a winger. I remember him playing as a winger in his younger years with Brazil, and has now stepped up. IMO, he is a similar sort of player to Willian and Douglas Costa, but has more to his game than either of them.

Any response would be great, and thanks in advance.

The real AG

{Ed002's Note - There is indeed interest in him from elsewhere, but none from Liverpool.}

1.) 30 Oct 2015 12:36:59
Thanks Ed002.

2.) 30 Oct 2015 18:03:40
From what I've seen of Douglas Costa, if he's anywhere near that level he's got talent.

Salah before AFCON - 26 games, 27 goals, 9 assist.

Salah after AFCON - 15 games, 5 goals, 2 assists.

Man is tired.

The real AG

1.) 17 Apr 2022 05:09:57
What abt Mane then Real AG mate? Think it's more then just fatigue tho.

2.) 17 Apr 2022 06:56:42
I think it could be more mental than physical fatigue. Salah's had to go to all the way to penalties with Egypt again and again and he ended up with nothing to show for any of it, whereas Mane's gotten the high of winning AFCON and qualifying for the World Cup.

3.) 17 Apr 2022 09:55:04
What Z said - Klopp wouldn’t want a long term deal done if he thought anything else and he knows him best.

4.) 17 Apr 2022 09:56:10
I think a few of those were penalties too AG.

5.) 17 Apr 2022 10:26:15
He looks knackered.
I would say drop him for a couple of games but I’m never really comfortable with anyone else on the right.

6.) 17 Apr 2022 11:01:43
Agree Mike. We don’t have that natural right side player.
I would be tempted to try Diaz maybe in pre season etc, but now is not the time to experiment.

Fair play to "Akira" who I think posted few weeks ago about a potential "big" transfer taking place based on financial info he had got. We know now this old fashioned runout turned out to be true!

Ed002, what now for FSG as far as Liverpool are concerned? Surely irreparable damage has been done. I suspect a sale looms as soon as they can find a buyer.

The real AG

{Ed002's Note - The club is worth a huge amount and will be difficult to sell - I expect FSG to continue to plot with their new friend in Madrid to find a way to make huge amounts of money.

1.) 22 Apr 2021 19:53:13

Hello Ed002, I just wanted to ask your opinion on couple of comments I have seen from people who are pretty reliable with their information.

Are you aware that Barcelona have advised both Coutinho and Dembele to behave the way they have been over the past couple of days? Apparently, Barcelona has asked Coutinho to hand in a TR close to Liverpool's PL season opener, and CL qualifier as they thought this would help him move to Barcelona faster as Liverpool wouldn't want distractions this close to the season.

A similar story is emerging out of Germany with regards to Dembele as well.

The real AG

{Ed002's Note - Of course they haven't.}

Not surprised at all. Stay at BL for another season and take over the super team RM is building. If he had joined us this summer, I doubt he would have stayed for more than couple of years before going to RM.

Amorim looks like a decent bet but players have to adapt to new system he brings, and he will need to do step up but in Europe.

There won't be a HG issue next season as long as no major changes don't happen as Trent, Bradley, Quansah, Gomez, Beck, Morton, Jones, Elliot, Kelleher all will be 21 or over and qualify as HG.

I'm not at all optimistic. It's an:

1. Early kickoff
2. Away to Man City
3. After an international break

Now go checkout our form this season and in the recent past when one of those three has been the case.

Judging by the subs during the Benfica game, Mane and Salah will start and Diaz will not. Then it's between Jota and Firmino for the central role, and I won't be surprised if Klopp went with Firmino to start. Jota has shown that he can make an impact off the bench.
