Ed001what's your gut feeling on Liverpool going into the transfer market in January? I know it's not a ideal time to move buy we really are crying our for a CB and a DM.

{Ed001's Note - I expect us to try once more for VVD to be honest.}

Should we not get VVD I fear De Vrij could be a target, surely not? I can't think off the top of my head who would be available/ want to join us in Jan or even summer, somebody good enough that is. De Vrij isn't, he wouldn't improve us at all but his name is been banded about and I don't like the idea of it one bit.

Ed 001 who can your realistically see us singing in the next two windows? I know it’s guess work but who would you sign?

{Ed001's Note - I am sure there will be a few choruses of You'll Never Walk Alone. ;-)

Seriously, not a clue, VVD is still wanted but looks out of reach. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a right back brought in though as well as a centre back.

I really do not know who I would sign, it is still a long way off January and that is not really the time to do any major squad work. The summer will be dictated in large part by the World Cup.}

Okay thank you Ed! Definitely want a CB in Jan.

Lucas played 90 minutes for Lazio in a 2 _1 win at juventus they ain't been beat there for time he would been ideal patrolling in front of defence this season til we get someone else too do job allowing front 5 too do there thing, saves money if u keep the right players playing in right positions also wid valuable experience.

Vvd most definitely is not the answer to our defensive woes. As Eds1 said about a year ago he daydreams.

Maybe he day dreaming bout us, there are other centre backs out there crazy we can't identify any an bring them in too add strength too our weaknesses.

Ed001 - is the news of a right back because TAA and Gomez aren't progressing as quickly as possible. Or are they looking to move Gomez into the centre?

{Ed001's Note - because Clyne is unwanted and TAA is not expected to have a future there. Long term Gomez is expected to move central, but not for a couple of seasons at least.}

I'm surprised you say we may look for a right back considering how well Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been playing in that position - surely it would only limit their chances in the team?

Unless of course Gomez is to be used at centre back and TAA in midfield/ on the wing going forward.

Thoughts Ed001?

{Ed001's Note - TAA has not been impressing though, he has struggled defensively.}

You mention that you think a right back will come in, I'd have thought that would be the least of our worries with TAA, Gomez, Flanno and Clyne all on the books. Are you expecting multiple departures in January?

{Ed001's Note - Clyne is completely unwanted, he was playing last season out of necessity, he is going as soon as the club can get rid. Flanno is still not anywhere near his best and TAA is struggling with the defensive side and is likely to move into midfield.}

Another RB? Looks like Clyne's days are numbered and Gomez might be going back to CB. Not convinced by VVD still especially at 70 million pounds. Klopp needs to get this right with the fees being bandied about.
Any idea which RB the club might look to? Plus we also need a striker with Sturridge not making an impression and both Origi and INgs unlikely to get a look in again. Timo Werner would be a great addition. Along with Gabriel Jesus, he is the other young striker i am most impressed with.

{Ed001's Note - Henrichs, Pereira, Tete, Marusic - off the top of my head we have looked at all four, though it is a long way off so not yet sure which is likely, as it is probably going to be for the summer. The RB was about the next 2 windows. Clyne's days have been numbered for a while.}

Ed good info as usual mate, regarding VVD you say you expect us to push for him in Han but you also say he looks out of reach? Just puzzled as why we don't look at another CB if indeed he is out if reach.

{Ed001's Note - because he is the one Klopp really wants.}

Interesting your comments ed 01, I have thought for a while Trent more suited too a midfield role, I can't believe we don't want clyne he is best right back we have, Gomez is excellent but inexperienced an more suited too centre back, again with all this in mind jus points too really bad preparation in transfer window for such a pivotal season, we also have baggage of 3 quality players who are on there way out an don't want too b with us.

{Ed001's Note - Clyne is awful. What good is a player who can't attack nor defend?}

Gomez's development is on track. If he continues to perform like he did last Saturday when he showed a maturity well beyond his tender years I can see him becoming a fixture of this LFC side.

Gomez is the real deal for me to be honest I think he's got a huge part to play for us.
