I’ve seen rumours that Klopp has asked Buvac to return for our final 2 matches. Is there any truth to this Ed’s?

LFCleon

{Ed001's Note - Klopp never wanted him to go in the first place, hence why he is on leave not gone. The door is open to him to come back.}

1.) 09 May 2018 10:20:06
Yet ed002 said he resigned last Sunday?

{Ed002's Note - It doesn't mean the club will not look to resolve the issues. But he did resign the Sunday before last and there is interest in his services from another side.}

2.) 09 May 2018 10:41:08
I hope the issues can be resolved and he is back soon. By the sounds of them they’re like an old married couple, bickering all the time. Fingers crossed they can sort it out.

3.) 09 May 2018 11:44:10
Is the other side arsenal ed02?

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Arsenal.}

4.) 09 May 2018 11:59:27
Ed 2 stirring the pot again.

{Ed001's Note - no, you are being a dick. Like I said, Klopp never wanted him gone, he chose to resign, what is the issue here that seems to be escaping you? The club are keeping the door open trying to resolve the issues. Ball is in Buvac's court and he has other offers.}

5.) 09 May 2018 12:58:02
Let's hope that they can sort it out.
Shankly even tendered his resignation at Liverpool on at least one occasion prior to his retirement.
Such is life.

6.) 09 May 2018 13:06:54
It just gets boring. It’s gone on for years. We all know the situation. It’s new to me that he has ‘resigned’. I thought they had a bust up and he walked out. I wasn’t aware that he ‘resigned’. I’m just sick of the constant baiting ed 1. It’s as if we are beneath ed 2 - as Liverpool fans, I see things for what they are and ed 2 never stops digging at us. I just took this as another one.

7.) 09 May 2018 13:29:59
Plums, shut up and stop being a sensitive Sally. Folks like you are the reason the Eds are hesistant to answer questions any more. i've been visiting this site for over ten years (before there was even a Liverpool page) and Liverpool fans were never talked down to unless they earned it. And they have earned it time and time again by acting like entitled little t**ts. If you don’t appreciate the information, then move along to another site.

8.) 09 May 2018 13:31:21
Why would you know he had resigned Mr Plums? That’s why we all come on here isn’t it, to find out info that we have no other way of finding out? Ed said it when it happened, this isn’t the 1st mention of it. And sure, ed2 loves a bit of banter but he doesn’t come on here with lies, that’s one thing for sure. Please don’t go chasing him off again, he’s a great source of info.

9.) 09 May 2018 13:35:22
MrPlums, sounds to me like you Don't see things for what they are at all, but rather for whatever fits your victim complex.

It was insightful information. How on earth you've spun it against Ed002 is beyond me. Looks to me like you are the only one baiting.

10.) 09 May 2018 13:38:57
Get outta here, Plums, how the hell is ed002 stirring the pot? He's literally stating facts. If you don't like it, you're under no obligation to visit this site and comment because the rest of us appreciate the info, knowledge and insight he provides.

11.) 09 May 2018 14:35:01
Mrplums - It's guys like you who drove out Macca as well. Now I can't play my PS4 at night and go on Macca rumours before bed to read we're signing Stewart Downing because trolls like you weren't happy with him freely giving us information and he got fed up and left. Now I have to find other things to do at night before bed.

12.) 09 May 2018 14:49:07
Plums- ed2 can stir the pot all he wants. As can any of the Ed’s. There’s nothing wrong with a little banter, however what ed2 was doing, was simply pointing out something and you take this moment to be a little precious. I suggest, if you want more information, you might perhaps use the search engine to read the posts instead of inciting drama. As for Buvac- I would love to get ed1’s opinion on the effect of Buvac’s absence in the way Benitez struggled without pako. I can’t imagine our poor form is mainly down to his absence. I think Roma was first gear football, we did enough to go through and Chelsea was just sheer exhaustion.

{Ed001's Note - it will take a while before we see any effect to be honest. At this stage of the season no one is going to forget what they have been trained in all season long. Next season is when we will see how things would go without him. I would personally like a more decisive assistant alongside Klopp, to get him to make changes earlier and with more effect.}

13.) 09 May 2018 15:00:47
Plums, just shut your grid mate. There is nothing else like this site anywhere else on the net. It is absolutely invaluable for fans who are routinely fed complete lies and bullsh#t.
We don't know just how much crap lands in the Eds inboxes every day, and what abuse they have to put up with, and if handling that makes them a bit tetchy at times that is a price we are all more than willing to pay for the quality and honesty of the info given here.
If you don't like it here please just go away- go and read the absolute sh*t that fills up the other 99 percent of sites.
Just don't spoil this one.

14.) 09 May 2018 15:05:26
I'm sorry ed2 offended your very delicate sensibilities Plum. Hopefully you can see a Doctor and get that fixed.

15.) 09 May 2018 12:47:54
Ok thanks.

16.) 09 May 2018 12:50:45
Is it a German side eds. ?

{Ed002's Note - It was Eintract Frankfurt but it is nothing to do with why he resigned.}

17.) 09 May 2018 15:48:16
I’ve heard that Buvac has been in discussion with Eintract Frankfurt about there managerial vacancy, after Kovac agreed to take on the Bayern job! Guessing could be some truth in this as Kovac agreed his move within the last couple of weeks, making the domino effect and German clubs seemingly efficient in making plans well in advance of the new season.

18.) 09 May 2018 17:46:29
Take a walk plums, the ED did nothing but give information with regards to what is going on and you take offence? You seem like a bit of a nob to be honest.

19.) 09 May 2018 18:46:47
Wow
Looks like a twitter thread.
I think plums gets it that people like ed2.

20.) 09 May 2018 19:30:02
Super info as always Ed001 and Ed002. Very much appreciated.

06 May 2018 19:51:49
From what I’ve heard and been told Liverpool are in talks with Lyon. A deal hasn’t been agreed yet, but Liverpool are hoping to have a deal in place before the final.

LFCleon

1.) 06 May 2018 20:00:10
Fekir is coming?!

2.) 06 May 2018 20:07:05
Well my source is reliable. He told me Robbo, Ox, Solanke and Keita deals would happen but told me at least a day before ‘news broke’ and he’s told me today that it is true we are after Fékir, and are in talks. With the view to something being sorted by the final. Make if that what you will. But I trust my source.

3.) 06 May 2018 20:23:58
😂😂😂😂😂 all it is, is poor journalism!

4.) 06 May 2018 20:53:24
Klopp said no in his presser before.

5.) 06 May 2018 20:56:46
We shall see, that is all.

6.) 06 May 2018 21:17:06
where the Fekir did this rumour come from?

7.) 07 May 2018 15:34:16
Ben Elf he didn’t say no though
He said "during the game we agreed a deal? Id be surprised about that to be honest. No comment"

We all know he likes to throw a bit of humor on things and he isn’t exactly the one who will be over at Lyon trying to break the deal is he? :)

06 Apr 2018 10:05:40
4/ 5 players will come in, in summer imo. An experienced GK (handanovic would be my pick but heard rumours of Casillas), a RB my pick would be meunier from PSG, top player, CM/ deep lying midfielder my pick would be Jorginho or ndidi, we’ll probably get cabellos and then finally another winger my pick would be Leon Bailey can play both sides and is a real quality player.

Outs likely to be Mignolet, Ward, Clyne, Can, Milner/ Lallana (or both), Sturridge, Origi and then a loans for Grujic (wouldn’t mind seeing him play but he likely won’t make it with us now), Ejaria, Woodburn, Masterson (who replaces Klavan the season after) . This would leave us with a team that could challenge on all fronts. I’m lookibg forward to the rest of this season and am absolutely buzzing to see us challenge next season! YNWA.

LFCleon

1.) 08 Apr 2018 08:55:32
There's no chance Klopp will get rid of Lallana, Milner or Clyne this summer. Also we aren't looking at Handanovic or Casillas at the moment. Everyone knows Alisson is the top target with Jack Butland an secondary option if we fail in our pursuit of him. Football fans have very short memories, Lallana was probably our best player last season, he set the tone for the press most games and Milner has been fantastic for us plus can cover so many positions why get rid? RB is one of the last places we need to strengthen, sure Clyne was injured most of the year but again he's still one of the best RB's in the PL, Gomez and TAA as back ups is perfect.

2.) 08 Apr 2018 11:40:48
Based of what the Ed’s have said Clyne probably will be leaving as Klopp wants rid. Both Lallana and Milner will want regular football and one will likely play less than they want so one of them will likely leave. I agree with you when you say Clyne is one of the better rb in the league but based of what’s been said I expect him to go. As for the gk position I don’t feel we need to go out and sign a new number one I thinks Karius is good enough I just think he needs an experienced keeper with him to help him improve hence I suggested handanovic and Casillas (who has been linked with us in papers) I would rather we signed an experienced gk than Alisson or butland.

31 Dec 2017 18:24:19
Hi Ed’s I heard a rumour a few days ago linking ward to Nottingham forest. I was wondering if their interest is legit? And if it is how will the sacking of their manager today have affected that interest?

LFCleon

{Ed001's Note - McParland was the one trying to get a deal done, he has gone too, so I doubt there will be anything now.}

1.) 31 Dec 2017 18:53:31
Okay thank you Ed001 for the reply.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

27 Dec 2017 17:57:22
WOW 75 million for Van Dijk! Hopefully he’ll help our defensive problems. Just staggered at the price!

LFCleon

1.) 27 Dec 2017 18:04:34
Staggered is the word mate, i;m shocked the club has paid so much for a defender who really is not that great, has an Andy Carroll feel to it this one.

2.) 27 Dec 2017 18:34:33
So tell me who is better?

3.) 27 Dec 2017 18:51:41
75 Mill, 75 Mill. madness! I just hope Klopp turns him into a world beater. I didn't want Oxtail Chamberlain but he's looking a better player now, so fingers grossed for VVD.

4.) 27 Dec 2017 18:54:32
Think it looks to be a panic buy to me, no way is he worth 75mill, not sure this was the correct decision by liverpool! Got to be other CB's out there that are good, and not with an enormous price tag.

5.) 27 Dec 2017 19:06:36
FSG don’t spend enough money!
£75 million is too much to spend!
Make up your mind Liverpool supporters.
I’m delighted we’ve got the player Klopp wanted.

6.) 28 Dec 2017 06:25:03
DeanW How is this a panic buy? wasn't klopp tapping him up last season! This is anything but a panic. glad we got our the man klopp wanted and can push on.

Finally our season starts! And I have to say I am buzzing yet nervous, I can’t wait to see our new stars in action mainly Keita and Alisson.
I’m predicting a nice 2-0 to start the season.
Come on LFC let’s get this win as a family!

06 Aug 2018 09:50:42
Who does everyone think will be the dark horses in the league this season? And what do the Ed’s think on this topic too?
For me I think Fulham will be dark horses and have a really good season. They already had some top players such as cairney and Sessegnon. They have added some quality players to their squad too.

LFCleon

{Ed001's Note - them or Wolves I think. Leicester will do well if they can cover for the fact that their defence is crap and Puel can sort out the attitude problem amongst the leftovers from the title win.}

1.) 06 Aug 2018 10:26:43
Fulham definitely look capable, with Schurrle, Mitrovic and Sessengon potentially giving them the penetration that so many newly promoted teams just can't get against the premier league mid table opposition.

But my pick are Brighton - so many people are picking them for a relegation fight but I really liked how organised their team was last year, and their purchases this year have been really smart - Jahanbakhsh and Bernardo can really stretch play and remove the need for every creative move to go through Gross, and Bissouma I don't know much about but from his profile could support the defensive mid positions much more than Kayal or Stephens ever did last year. I predict them to be tricky for the unprepared and comfortably mid table.

2.) 06 Aug 2018 10:48:31
I think Sessegnon may be a 60 million player by the end of the season!

3.) 06 Aug 2018 10:57:11
I was thinking wolves too Ed1 but I just have a feeling they might struggle. We will have to wait and see though! Will be a very good season (hopefully! )
Hjikle - I agree that Brighton are a well organised team and have strengthened some of the weakened positions so will be interesting to see how they perform!

4.) 06 Aug 2018 11:28:46
I have a bet with a work colleague that Wolves will finish above West Ham, so I hope wolves don't struggle!

5.) 06 Aug 2018 12:24:04
I'm wondering what people think about West Ham's chances this season, not in terms of pushing for the title, because they are well below the required standard, but more so where they will finish in the league table.

They have reinforced, heavily, and brought in some talented young players. But, I can't help but remember Everton last year. Pundits, particularly Richard Keys, was convinced they would push for a champions league spot.

Is this a similiar situation to what Everton faced last year, unreal expectations and a lack of indentity and forward thinking. Or, have West Ham actually figured out a way to bring in a lot of players with a clear strategy in mind?

On paper, West Ham look really good but, as we all know, it is performance and results that matter most. Would be interested to hear people's opinions.

{Ed025's Note - we tried it last year and spurs tried it a few years back mango and it just does not work, west ham have imported too many players at once and are basically starting from scratch, i suppose it could work but i cant see it myself mate..

6.) 06 Aug 2018 15:43:11
I think Wolves will be the surprise package and may finish close to a spot in Europe Fulham are also a good shout!

A good one here for Ed025, my bluenosed barber told me to put a tenner on Liverpool to win the league and The Ev to get relegated he was genuinely serious about it too! Could that be the surprise of the season?

{Ed025's Note - who is your barber GBB sweeny todd?, he obviously has a screw loose mate and as much as i think the reds could win the league the blues will still be mid table even in this period of transition..

7.) 06 Aug 2018 17:02:44
Where does mid table actually start and finish? I always wondered because it's a label thrown at Liverpool for quite a few years because we didn't make the champions league. Is it between wherever the lead peloton ends and just above relegation battle fodder? Because there were only 2 or 3 teams in mid table last season, whereas there could be as many as 4 if Everton step up this year.

8.) 06 Aug 2018 16:57:54
Have to admit I did laugh at him and tell him he's nuts!

9.) 06 Aug 2018 20:14:52
I think everton will be up there this year. A young dynamic coach and some good signings on top of some already very talented players. digne looks good and mina looks done. I really think they could click. Silva took Watford to 7th place with a less talented squad than he has now. They have some genuine pace now which is what they were missing last season.

Everton and relegation are two words that seldom appear in the same sentence.

17 Jul 2018 22:15:25
If we do sign Alisson I really hope that he doesn’t make major errors because if he does then he will be forced out of the club and we will lose lots of money. (I think he is a very good keeper and is a big upgrade of what we have. )
I suppose you could make the same argument for a lot of players signed for big fees but keepers are subject to more ‘abuse’ for a mistake. So I just hope people will give him time to settle.

LFCleon

12 Jul 2018 14:08:07
With Macca saying he thinks we’ll sign butland. What are the Ed’s thoughts on butland?

LFCleon

{Ed002's Note - He is reasonably well thought of but would he want to be number two to Karius?}

1.) 12 Jul 2018 14:15:59
Thanks Ed. I personally think he’s a better keeper than Karius so don’t think he’d want to warm the bench.
Preferably ward would be number 2 with butland as first choice (if he signs) then sell migs and loan Karius back to Germany.

2.) 12 Jul 2018 14:35:34
Is there really much difference between Butland and Ward?
would rather give Ward a go tbh.

3.) 12 Jul 2018 14:41:50
I reckon so Johncrow. I guess butland has a lot more experience while still being quite young. Has played lots of big games against utd, City, Chelsea. I like ward but there must be a reason he isn't getting a game.

{Ed002's Note - Last season he let in 9 against Chelsea, 9 against Manchester City and 5 against Mancherster United. But he did keep a clean sheet at Anfield.}

4.) 12 Jul 2018 14:55:36
P Hendo I fully get your point mate but just watching them both from the little I seen of Ward mostly at Huddersfield he looked decent
Butland does not seem to have progressed much since he was highly touted a few years ago
Ward needs to push harder to convince Klopp and I think he can do it.

5.) 12 Jul 2018 15:01:24
But then again he had shawcross in front of him.

6.) 12 Jul 2018 15:30:07
LFCLeon, I was about to post exactly the same as you (about Karius on loan and Ward no.2)

7.) 12 Jul 2018 15:37:01
I can’t argue with what you’ve said johncrow. There isn’t a lot of difference from what I’ve seen. But the question is can ward do it consistently at premier league level? If he’s given a shot I’d like to think he’d do very well for us.

8.) 12 Jul 2018 16:15:34
And Salah flopped at Chelsea.

Lovren was meant to be replaced soon and now he's a champions league and world cup final cb.

Vvd was a waste of money.

Henderson was nearly swapped for Clint Dempsey.

Milner was a waste of signing on fee and wages. Record holder in the champions league.

Bit of faith ey. ?

9.) 12 Jul 2018 16:21:02
Prince, like Butland, Karius has played big games in the PL and CL, something Butland has NEVER done esp. in the CL. Not saying Karius is the answer long term, just saying that saying Butland has played in the same big games in the PL that Karius has while not having played in the CL like Karius has, CANNOT be a basis for him being better than Karius. Facts are facts, man.

01 Jun 2018 16:05:48
Ed001, what is your opinion on Klopp’s tenure as LFC manager so far? And how do you rate him amongst other ‘top’ managers in the premier league and Europe?

LFCleon

{Ed001's Note - he has improved us and taken us forward, that is all that matters.}

1.) 01 Jun 2018 17:27:36
Agreed Ed and more to come!

2.) 01 Jun 2018 17:44:35
He’s definitely moved us forward. We could do with a final where we are favourites maybe in a league cup or something so he can get rid of this final losing thing at the moment. Still think we’ve the squad we’ve got he’s done well to get us to a champions league final.

3.) 01 Jun 2018 17:56:05
For me Jordz, the final-losing stuff is just white noise, stuff that to me judging by where he found us, does not matter. Jochim Loew has been to Euro and WC semi's and finals vs teams that were better than his teams and could not get it done. Did the German FA sack him? No. They and the fans, stuck with him and what happened? Germany won the last WC and Loew is now a legend.

What this means is that Loew and the Germans believed in what he was doing and knew that if they kept going and trusting Loew, they eventually would win a trophy and they did. That is the attitude we have to have as a fan base and stop getting stuck on this losing finals nonsense. N tw, it's not like Klopp has won nothing in his career like some other top 6 manager (s) I could mention.

4.) 01 Jun 2018 17:56:41
I'm delighted with him personally, he's building us a cracking squad and we're striving. The signings the past few windows have been spot on, the football we've been playing has been fantastic. It'll be even better next year when we bring the PL trophy home!

5.) 01 Jun 2018 18:56:03
It's clear the owners have faith in klopp, given the funds that seem available to him.

Klopp isn't a cheat and sportsmanship is big at Liverpool atm. a lot of teams stretch the rules in finals.

{Ed002's Note - Klopp has a background and recent history in making illegal approaches to players - it is cheating.}

6.) 01 Jun 2018 19:00:01
He should win a trophy in the upcoming season!

7.) 01 Jun 2018 19:04:06
We have definitely moved forward and are bringing in better players, but if we fail to address our gk problems we'll forever be coming up short, in 25 years we've had 1 decent keeper in Reina, if like the rumours are true we pay 30/ 40m for Butland I'll pull my hair out, we're constantly wasting money replacing average players, some like Allison while originally costing a lot saves us millions over the next decade, vvd is the proof in front of our eyes.

8.) 01 Jun 2018 19:10:16
Has definitely improved us any fool can see that
he has given us a team to proud of, on the pitch, with players playing their heart out for him and anyone who can't see that imo doesn't understand football.

9.) 01 Jun 2018 19:50:05
Only criticism i have is the goalkeeping issues we've had throughout his tenure. I can see we are progressing but we now and before needed a better keeper hopefully this will be addressed properly and we can further progress.

10.) 01 Jun 2018 20:37:09
Have the club spoken to him about this? I guess yes. Is it something he has always done (e. g. At Dortmund) does it come down to him thinking "if I can speak to them I can convince them this is the place, forget bigger wages etc" Or is it just he doesn't listen and flaunts the rules?

{Ed002's Note - Done to death.}

11.) 01 Jun 2018 20:37:43
Lot of talk re who is the best current manager, best ever manager etc, way too many variables. Why not simplify the conjecture so that there is no dispute? Any manager who can take the bitters to any title is without doubt the greatest managerial legend ever, end of.

Think he’d be a good option for the bench and would provide better cover than Wilson ojo etc because of his experience. I think he’ll improve under Klopp. Plus he seemed to do well in the World Cup.

Signing Fekir and Pulisic would give us serious quality that we currently lack. We lack quality attacking depth, Pulisic gives us a very good option and would push mane and Salah hard for a start. Fekir for me would be part of a midfield 3 playing a more attacking role out of the 3 and can also cover Firmino if he couldn’t play.
Alongside these 2 I’d sign a RB, GK and a back up for Hendo.
I believe then we would be able to challenge on all fronts.

Ed is right. He was playing defensive mid. The coach thought he’d play better there because he has a good passing range and could dictate play more from a deeper role.
