Ed1,
You keep mentioning how everyone is up for sale, could you enlighten us on who is attracting interest and might leave the club, then? I. e. If Sturridge is available I'd be surprised if there isn't serious interest, despite his injury record.
Also, could you put my mind at ease and tell me Emre Can and Divock AREN'T available as those two, I feel, are two potential parts of a great spine in te team for years to come.

{Ed001's Note - look everyone will attract some interest, but we aren't just throwing people out of the door on a free. They will only be for sale if the right amount is offered. Yes I do include Origi and Can, though I don't expect anyone to come near the asking price and both are players that Klopp would not want to lose. The most likely to leave right now, other than Canos, is Coutinho. Though I am not sure he is going to have the offers he is hoping for and so it might not be as straightforward as he thinks.}

Thanks Ed1
I know you don't like talking money, but would we be wanting more, less or roughly the same as we got for Sterling for him?

{Ed001's Note - more.}

Do you think Spurs could take a interest in Coutinho Ed? Pocchettinho having him on loan in Spain and didn't he want him at Southampton?

{Ed001's Note - I am quite sure Poch would like him, but not so sure they would want to spend that kind of money when they need a striker more than anything.}

I'd assume the move he craves is to Madrid or Barcelona and as much as I like him I don't think he's consistent enough for them to consider paying that kind of money which in my eyes means he'll either stay or the 2 mentioned above will begin their usual media assault in an attempt to get him to force the issue and possibly bring the price down.
We've lost a top name every summer for a while now chaps, get used to it!
Although I had hoped Klopp might stem the tide in that respect?!

Ed1 I know that percentages haven't been given more a while on this site for a while but would you mind guessing the likelihood that Coutinho will leave? Is 50/ 50 about right?

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - it would be a pure guess to put percentages right now. As things stand I would guess at that, he wants to go for Champions League football, so the only real opposition is the asking price.}

My concern is if we lose Coutinho, Firmino is not far behind.

Not great news ed. Just come on here for a look and youve explained situation with him. Hope he stays. Big void to fill if he moves on.

I think a bigger worry than the 2 Spanish Giants would be psg, they have all the money in the world and tend to get whoever they want.

Coutinho is a great player. But the thought of him leaving doesn't leave me awake at night.

I understand ever player has ther price and that we could lose some of our top players which is fine if we are willing to replace them. In your opinion are fsg willing to shell out the money to keep us up with the top 4 or are we just dreaming.

{Ed002's Note - FSG have been trying to buy the Premier League title since they arrived.}

I think coutinho is a good player, and i like watching him play, but seriously he is not imo world class. He could be for sure but for me a world class player doesn't just have some good games in between some really average ones.
He had great talent but over plays far too much. Often opting the wrong choice to pass when he should shoot and far too often shooting when he should pass.

like i said i like him and glad he's with us but for the right price i do not think it would be the end of the world.

I'd have to disagree, it is a big issue if he goes, one of those very few players in our squad who can produce the kind of goal out of nowhere that changes a match. Only hope is if Klopp can show him plans for who to bring in, serious challenge for title, etc and Coutinho is young enough to get years.

While coutinho may not be that consistent, no matter how much money we get for him, there is no chance we are in the position to replace him. He is getting better and who could we sign that is as good, still young enough and would come to us with no Europe.
