A mate of mine is adamant he has insider info that when ayre etc came back from the states a club rep stayed to get the deal finished and things are looking very good. On a side note ed001 you seem (recently) a lot more positive, almost leaning towards we may sign the lad have you yourself had any new info mate? Thanks for your time.

Mick

{Ed001's Note - sorry nothing new from me.}

1.) 23 Jan 2016 12:16:55
Thanks for the response mate.

2.) 23 Jan 2016 22:18:16
I heard the same thing Mick- I was told it was Mike Gordon.

3.) 24 Jan 2016 10:34:23
Maybe true hppe so he looks skillful. Also Ayre may have come back to do some selling once satisfied the deal for Tex will go thru bit of balance 📚.

{Ed002's Note - Who is this "Tex" - Bozo Texino? Some Texan Liverpool are looking to sign?}

4.) 24 Jan 2016 12:08:44
It's obviously Teixeira Ed!

{Ed002's Note - Why? How do you think Teixeira is pronounced?}

5.) 24 Jan 2016 12:29:01
Thank you NicklsARed. But i stand corrected i should of used the full name Teixeira. i'd take Texas pete if he can defend a corner.

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps you should also check the pronounciation.}

6.) 24 Jan 2016 13:15:10
I believe it's pronounced Tesh-air-ra.

Although I would have loved a merseyside Derby final, I do believe playing city suits our style better at the moment, the fact that they will come and try beat us will play into our strengths. Anyway Wembley let's have it.

Mick

1.) 27 Jan 2016 22:18:03
I don't think style comes into the equation

If you want to be a winner you have to go out and beat whoever is in front of you.

2.) 27 Jan 2016 22:49:43
The officials are a disgrace last nights off side an then tonights ball out of play. If the play is too fast for officials we need technology.

3.) 27 Jan 2016 22:58:13
Not a very savvy answer savvyxone. Clearly, we struggle against a certain style of opposition, and City play a more open game. True, that can be quite punishing when on song, but better than a Chelsea double decker.

4.) 27 Jan 2016 23:32:43
Burkey

We struggle week in week out for 2 reasons
1) injuries
2) mings-skittles-Moreno-clyne-Milner-benteke all either not being good enough or just not performing to the best of their ability I could name more but there's a lot of young talent there who are improving week on week and I do accept the likes of ibe and can have been very hot and cold but both have amazing potential and will improve more and more given time which between now and the end of the season is difficult to do when klopp is trying his hardest with the coaching staff to make the best out of the disaster that Bodgers left us with

Come the beginning hopefully! Of next season most of the players I named above are replaced with quality who are hard working and determined to go out and perform and win for their club week in week out

Just look at the difference between Clyne and Flanno for example.
Flanno comes back after 20 months out injured and is 10 times a better player than Clyne and has the hunger to succeed. Never once did his head drop during the game against Stoke he kept fighting and fighting, where Clynes head would have dropped and we could have lost the game within the 90 mins

Just my opinion everyone's different but there's sense to my madness

🤔😬.

5.) 28 Jan 2016 00:11:23
Coutinho will be missed for that game i think. Its exactly the type of game and team he always brings his best. Should be a cracking final though if we can improve in the meantime and if we should find a striker on the market up to it, that wouldn't hurt either (although i guess they wouldn't be able to play cup final? )

6.) 28 Jan 2016 00:38:08
We struggle for various reasons, but that wasn't the point. The point is what type of team we have success against and which ones we don't, generally speaking of course.

7.) 28 Jan 2016 01:39:10
Agree that City's style suits us better than some others - they're not as physical, tend to keep the ball on the ground, don't rely purely on counterattacks.

Still a really tough challenge though given their quality. think they'll still be harder to beat than Everton but we have a reasonable chance.

8.) 28 Jan 2016 02:30:34
Pretty sad that we had to play extra time and take pens because the linesman couldn't see the offside, then the blues put out by another goal that should not have counted. Anyway let's hope we can get the measure of Citeh once more.

9.) 28 Jan 2016 02:40:01
Couts will be back for the game. He's been cleared for light training already.

10.) 28 Jan 2016 07:00:51
Savy

Skrtel hasn't been playin from nearly a month and in his absence the team has shipped in record amount of goals.
Not sure what was your point.

{Ed001's Note - not sure how you can use that as any kind of point when we have had no fully fit centre halves in that month to choose from.}

11.) 28 Jan 2016 07:25:35
Are Sakho, Toure and Ilori unfit Ed?

{Ed001's Note - Sakho has been injured and is still working his way back to full fitness. Toure suffers from long standing fitness problems that mean he is never going to be 100% fit. Ilori had not played a full match all season. So yes, over the course of the last month, none had been fully fit.}

12.) 28 Jan 2016 07:51:48
Harry, your username has had more transition periods than lfc!

13.) 28 Jan 2016 08:53:49
I love how Harry changes his username and within 1 post we all know it's him.

14.) 28 Jan 2016 14:05:46
Another username, Harry? How many do you already have? It must be the Kovacic avatar that gave it away seeing as you love the guy so much.

I think a bigger worry than the 2 Spanish Giants would be psg, they have all the money in the world and tend to get whoever they want.

Maybe we are really trying to up our game and have 2 good keepers replace migs as no1 and hopefully push him to improve so we have 2 good ones that fight so always on top of their games.

Key word I raja from that *if* an offer is made! Everybody jumping the gun here. Let's be fair tho all those jumping on his back! He is not an lfc fan an we are he has no ties or obligations to the club beyond his contract. He will be offered a massive move probably doubling or trebling his wages, a team that wins the league every year and challenges for the champions league every year! Really at the top of world football. Put yourself in his shoes no way you wouldn't take it. I say if he wants out then good luck to him and I wish him well. We have way to many attacking mids in his ilk anyway and firmino will probably flourish in the central role and we will have major funds to bring in a top winger like we are desperate for.

The story I read was saying the substance they found flagged on the test he took but wasn't on eufa's banned list hence he facing no charge, but they will look to add it. Tbh it sound suspicious but does this legal high drug thing come to anybody else's mind? When the authorities find and ban a drug for what ever purpose they alter the drug so it is unethical but no longer illegal to use?

I really don't see chilwell coming to us to play second fiddle? If that's the case why not stay with the new league winners and have a chance to play champions league etc! I can't see Moreno leaving either, why would we sell a player that publicly messed up in the final and his value will be low. The lad has potential and is young, why not let them fight it out to claim the lb spot for years to come? Would be a breath of fresh air having 2 top talents fighting it out over what's been our problem position for a long time.
