Why would they, Faith? City fans have been spoiled beyond their wildest dreams for pushing two decades, being treated to everything they desired in that time (except a Champions League) . City fans simply couldn’t wish more than what they’ve been given. Liverpool, on the other hand, have had to scrap, brawl and fight for everything they’ve earned, often in losing effort to a team that were cheating the whole time as everyone knew. Having seen their team lose out on three premier league titles (THREE! ) and dealing with the knock-on effects of that (I have no doubt some of our issues this season are down to the squad being exasperated with coming up short every season) to a club that was cheating all along, combined with the current malaise of the squad, is it any wonder a lot of LFC fans are quick to complain about things?
City need to be stripped of their league titles and relegated for this. It is disgraceful.

If City hadn’t cheated, we would have won the league last season. Which is a massive game changer. Winning the league would have made the CL final a hell of a game, even more than it was.

It makes me sick how everyone has known they were cooking their books but it takes the Premier League 14 years! Yes, 14 years! To “fly into action”. The PL have been Co-conspirators all along. First pandering to Abramovich, then Mansoor. Fawning over the sugar daddies like a desparate showgirl.

@LoweLFC, I fully agree. Based on what I have read about the charges, the City fans had better gird their loins cos it's a tsunami that is headed their way. IF found guilty of even 20 of the charges, they should be stripped of EVERYTHING they have won, relegated to a mandatory 2 year stint in the Championship like what Juve and Marseille had to go thru for match-fixing and have a transfer ban for several years, as well. Dirty, disgraceful club. A NOTHING club built of fraud, cheating and malfeasance at that.

With you all the way. If adjudged to have committed those charges, stripping of titles and a demotion to a lower league is the absolute minimum.

A fan throws a firecracker or a coin onto the field, he gets banned for life. Life! And there's a media circus all around it. This, on the other hand, is basically fraud that's been inflicted not only on 19 other teams but the fan base of the entire league, for over a decade. That's a massive scale.

I hope the Premier League or the FA do the right thing (I'm thinking of some posters and Ed025 who've expressed doubts anything major will be done) .

I'm waiting for hints that the tree has truly been shaken, and that the rats are abandoning ship. Like Guardiola moving on in the summer. Because the independent investigation may well take 4 years as well, LOL. But insiders will know the true extent of the problem and they'll move on.

{Ed025's Note - i think they will get a massive fine which will then be reduced on appeal ArAy, im not a fan of retrospective punishments though and think that we should all move on and that the PL tighten things up and stop them happening in the first place.
i also dont think liverpool should lose their title if it were proven that salah and mane dived like tom daley and greg louganis gaining them over 30 points, and that VAR were bribed into giving them every decision they appealed for, as i say im not a fan of retrospective action.

Come on Ed025. If Salah has been diving for 10 years straight, I doubt very much he would be in football still. He'd be hounded out like some murderous pariah. ?Same for VAR. We get 10 years straight of decisions from VAR going our way, and trust me, the whole VAR thing would get abandoned. ?. But according to you, we would still get to keep all the titles. ?

Now you get a feel for how long a fraudulent practice this has been.
