Caicedo won’t be pursued in Jan, and won’t leave Brighton until maybe the summer. They don’t want to sell at this point and have little in the way of a replacement if he where to leave.

I feel for Arthur. Apparently he was putting in more work than anyone to get fit so it seems a genuine case of his body just failing him rather than lifestyle/ attitude. But there's no room for sentiment so if the club does send him back to Juventus it is a good decision in my opinion.

Regards a loan to buy, perhaps McKennie from Juve could be swapped for Arthur? At least he's not injury prone and can also play holding midfield. Think Ed002 alluded to something along these lines recently but also i've been too drunk to make any guarantees i didn't dream that up!

Needed to sign a centre midfielder in the summer before last season as our midfield was creaking and we didn’t bother signing one.

Needed to sign one in the summer before this season after a very punishing season which our midfield was clearly flagging by the end and finished with Madrid brushing us aside, but again we didn’t sign one, btw I’m not counting Arthur, he’s too lightweight, too slow and too injury prone to even be worth bothering with, he should be sent back to Juventus.

It is plainly evident that we need to sign one this window, but it’s looking very much like we’re not going to sign one. As much as it’s nice to sign Gakpo, that was clearly out of desperation because both Diaz and Jota are long term injured.

If the plan (and I use it in the very loosest sense of the word) is to save as much money to buy Bellingham, then I’d suggest it’s a fools errand as it’ll take more than just Bellingham to fix our midfield and quite honestly, I can’t see him wanting to play alongside our broken and ageing midfield in the Conference League when he’ll have Madrid, City and a probably a newly flush Newcastle to choose from in the champions league.

To judge a player on about 20mins of football is an insight you should be proud off maybe you can tell Arteta your comprehensive knowledge of this player as it’s been reported that he wants him at Arsenal and on another note can you please tell Mr Klopp who and who not he should sign I’m sure he’d welcome your player knowledge.

I thought I’d come out of hibernation as it’s been a while since I’ve posted, some of the things posters were posting was ridiculous and sort of put me off coming on this site, anyway to certain degree I sort of agree with VVVV I’m no expert but I don’t think Arthur is good enough for us and seemed a strange signing nevertheless perhaps someone at the club saw something in him which I’m not experienced to do, maybe see what his like if or when he ever plays for Liverpool then maybe not just me but hopefully VVVV will hold our hands up and say we was wrong if he does indeed turn out to be a decent player also while I’m here I’d like to wish all the posters regardless of if I agree with you and all the Ed’s who put in a shift to give us something to think about onwards and upwards
