Ed001 made a good point yesterday, Gertruida would be a good RB option and can cover injuries to Konate too.

Gertruida certainly looks like he can play and is versatile. But would clash with Gomez for minutes I think? With Trent, Bradley, Gomez, and Maybe Ramsey if he get fit I think we are fine at RB.

Funny isn't it, if we list our right backs as TAA, Bradley, Gomez, Ramsey, it looks really quite strong and an area we don't really need to focus on.

However, if TAA moves into midfield (seemingly more likely all the time), and our list of right backs becomes Bradley, Gomez, Ramsey. that seems incredibly weak for a team wanting to win titles and becomes an absolutely essential position to resolve.

Is there any chance that Trent's move into midfield might well be dictated by whether we can find a top quality DM/ CM or a top quality RB to sign?

For me, top quality RBs are in short supply at the moment.

Oli, I believe he's still at Feyenoord. Can play CB, RB, DM and the kazoo. Good player (at football, I haven't heard his kazoo-playing myself) .

Red Dawn, I know righ? it's the same thing I see many of the other fans doing on SM when it comes to the no. 6:DM position. For weeks, you will hear them say, "we don't have a no. 6" after literally watching Endo or Macca play in the 6 the game.

So for these people cos we did not get the 6 that cost a small fortune, we don't have a no. 6 despite us having TWO players playing in there on occassion. This is how people have conditioned themselves whether via social media or media narratives from the mainstream media. Go figure.

Thanks, @RP. Never seen him play no opinion of him. As for his cazoo playing skills, we're going to have to go with it, I guess cos I haven't seen him play that nor the trumpet either.

@RedDawn, I think you are doing Bradley a disservice.

Quick question. If TAA is in the squad primarily as a midfielder do FA rules prevent him playing full back if the need arises? Probably safer if we go out and spend £25m plus, just in case eh?
