Anyone born after 1990 - We don't even know the hurt we will feel when Klopp leaves. It's very much enjoy this time, right here, right now. This is it. We've just got to enjoy him.

Its a once in a lifetime experience and we have been blessed with a second time around.

The last team he built got to 3 champions league finals, lost the league by 2 points - twice, won the league and almost won the quadruple.

All from 5-4 against Norwich. All because he asked us to believe and we did. Remember when they all laughed at the celebrations when we drew 2-2 with west brom.

This is the Klopp vs Pep era. This is the rematch. We are in history. we will tell our grandkids about this.

My advice is stop moaning and just enjoy it. It'll come to end at some point, just pray its not now.

Klopps a gift. YNWA.

I agree with this 100%.

People calling for Klopp to be sacked last season really don’t know how good they’ve got it. When he leaves it will leave a massive hole which will be very hard if not impossible to fill.

Yes, but he still thinks Harvey Elliott is a midfield player.

OP, Im here for all of the stuff in your post, man. Now Im not sure it is the Pep vs Klopp era if you have to account for the enormous cheating that City had to engage with that allowed City to be in the position to get Pep and the players he would need to get his "era", so to speak.

So with this in mind, what Klopp has done is simply amazing. He had to go up against not just a financially doped club and manager, but a club who is on the hook for illegal financial doping. Pep era? If you remove the 115 charges and him getting paid via offshore accounts then, sure.

Now, I do not know of any manager who would have come in at the time Klopp came in and not just managed to compete with City BUT actually, beat them more times than any other manager and dethroned them to become Champions of England, Europe and the World. Klopp completed the lot way before Pep and City did and that is to his credit. He makes mistakes and all that BUT I would never turn on him and want him sacked. I'd rather hope he would leave on his own if things go really bad. Up Da Pool!

Who was looking for him to be sacked?
I seen a lot of disgruntled posts nvr seen one for him to be sacked.

The biggest heartbreak of my life will be when Klopp leaves the club. My tummy hurts just from thinking about it.

As a Scouser once said ‘all things must pass’.

There are things that cause genuine heartbreak the actually matter @Dan-ish.

That said, from the perspective of Liverpool FC, it’s all the more reason to try and enjoy what we’ve got.

Always an excuse to have a dig at the manager or a player. Sad times.

Agree, Jay - I don't think anyone has ever called for him to be sacked here.

I suspect it's really just that some people cannot handle the fair criticism of him without jumping to the extreme assumption that it means the sack.

There have been posters here calling him to be sacked, Jay and Pelican. I recall Lee ever saying that it's time for Klopp to leave. It's a bit more common on the live chat during games though but I guess that's because emotions run high during those times.

I got my heart broken when Michael Thomas ran through the Liverpool defence and scored in the last minute in 89, I’ve been dead inside ever since.

Exactly, Dracred. There are even people not just on here BUT online saying that Klopp should have been let go even before last season cos according to their "logic", he had not overseen a rebuild before in his career hence, he should not be trusted to do one now hence, he should leave and allow someone else with rebuild experience to do it. This was even before last season began and continued even before this season. They ain't saying that now BUT they'll be back. Trust me, man.

Maybe those on this thread accusing me of being disgruntled or having a pop at the manager which I did NOT even do (prolly should read my comment with their eyes wide open rather than wide shut) or saying "I have never seen anyone on here say he should be sacked" need to get out more and see what other LFC fans are saying and wanting for our great manager. They'll be shocked to know that what is said on this forum is not what majority of LFC fans actually believe. Just a thought.

@oli
I agree with everything you said mate and the reason I would want klopp as manager over pep is pep has never won anything without having the luxury of wealth behind him and the bonus as to managing the top team in the league . Not saying pep isn’t a great manager of course he is but klopp has built teams on mediocre spends and made them in to a well oiled machines .
Klopp has money to spend now but he has that luxury now because of where he has took us from to where we are

We where going nowhere but backwards under Brendan .

Jurgen has his negatives but the positives massively outweigh the negatives.

Let’s enjoy the man while he is here because he is pure dynamite. Every club in the world would love a jurgen klopp as manager and anyone who says otherwise is doing so out of bias he is that good.

I have seen on here numerous times people calling for Klopp to be sacked. Especially after defeats.

My question has always been if we do sack him, who do you get in who can do a better job? There is no one I can think of who is attainable and could do a better job than Klopp.

We have to embrace this guy, support him and the team through good times and bad because with him in charge the good times will always come again.

When we lose Klopp I fear we will struggle for a long period to get back to the heights he’s managed to get us to, if we ever do.

I think the Klopp out brigade are more like a section (ie one or two) . No matter what you do you'll never make everyone happy.

@TB2 mine was broken slightly earlier, 1988, when the hopeless long ball Crazy Gang played the free-scoring best team in Europe in the FA cup final.
• Vinnie Jones tries to maim Steve McMahon and gets a yellow card.
•John Aldridge never misses a penalty
No-one ever misses a penalty in the FA cup final - Aldridge missed a penalty.
• Lawrie Sanchez totally miss times a header from a set piece, it flicks off his head and loops over Bruce into the net
• Beardsley scores a brilliant goal and is incorrectly ruled off side.

Heart broken and shell shocked.

You should join the live chat during a game. every missed pass has posters calling for Klopp to be sacked, along with TAA as he is now the worst player in the world apparently.

19.) 12 Sep 2023
12 Sep 2023 20:41:51
To @BP, @Dhfc and the rest, I never even said I wanted Klopp sacked nor did I even accuse or have a pop at anyone for saying he should be sacked (which by all accounts did happen, @Pelican and @JayDubRed) if you read my initial comment. All I did was give my opinion on the OP's writeup and said how I would never want him sacked and would prefer he left on his own if things got really bad. That was it.

However, that part seemed to trigger some people on here to the point that they came for me with accusations of wanting Klopp sacked when none of that is even true. That was my problem. How such a worthy opening comment on how we need to support the best manager we have ever had in the PL era on this thread, degenerated to this nonsense of "Who wanted Klopp sacked? ", I will never know.

The ones that would want Klopp sacked are the ones that don't want to be reminded about being two games away from doing the quadruple.

Anybody remember May 1965. I was old enough to know it was a big deal and I was old enough to remember when I was told that we were cheated in the second leg of the semi. I remember being sad because we didn’t get to the final. one of the formative reasons I dislike Italian football and why I’m a miserable old git.

The day will come when Klopp has to go and like everything else, except for just about under Hicks and Gillet, the club will move forward.

The silver lining for me is that when Klopp goes the club will be in a far better position on and off the pitch compared to when he came in and we can thank him, the back room staff and the owners for that.

Awk JB the live chat is usually good craic - the same regulars there every game. You do get a few silly beggars and the occasional troll or 2 but usually just a bit of banter

Like sitting in a pub with your mates, there are good points and bad points raised but the ones shouting for Klopp to be sacked etc are usually trolls who are best ignored - though a lot of us did slate Jota a good bit last season and it's a standing joke now cos of the good form he hit haha.
